History

Established in 1965.

The office has been open for practice for more than 45 years. It was located right across Pomona Valley Hospital on Artesia, East of Garey. When Hospital extended its facility, the office moved to its present location in1992. The former dentists retired in 1999 & Drs. Joshi’s took over.

Dr. Hemant Joshi has been practicing dentistry since 1980. Very gentle & thorough in his work. He has recently earned fellowship in Academy Of General Dentistry. He also has done residency in the area of Implant Dentistry. He shares the practice with his wife Dr. Madhavi Joshi who practices dentistry & specializes in the area of dentures & braces. They have a very friendly staff ready to help you with all your dental needs.

I have had poor experiences with the services here. From day one the dentist was constantly trying to up sell me to purchase invisiline, even after i repeatedly stated i was not interested. The rooms and equipment is old and outdated. The receptionist was consistently short with me both over the phone and in person. And both doctors had very cold personalities.
Most importantly i have discovered they mishandled my insurance and charged me improperly, and all for subpar services. Upon going to a new dentist, Hemant Joshi refuses to release my x-​ray records which is hugely unprofessional.
I would strongly suggest you steer clear of this uncomfortable and seedy office.

I am currently an employee here at Pomona Smiles. I am so grateful to be working with this amazing team! Both Dr.‘s are fantastic and very nice and never hesitate to answer any of my questions. Here we strive to give the best dental treatment possible for our patients. Both Dr. Joshi & Joshi have a very gently hand (I’ve gotten my teeth cleaned after 5 years of no dental treatment), they are also very informative when you ask any questions yourself. Very courteous Dentists and staff. Made me feel at home immediately. No up-​charging. No pushy sales pitch on dental procedures I don’t need. Very honest and to the point. Not thrilled about all the cavities I have to get fixed, but happy to know I’ll get them done right the first time.
BTW … if you’ve spent hours looking for a dentist online, like I did, this is where I ended up. Dr. Joshi takes CareCredit and PPO Health Insurance. This is the kind of dentist office where you can build a relationship with the doctors and have generations of your family have their teeth cared for. I would recommend you visit this office, especially if you’re looking for a new dentist.

Dr Joshi and his wife are both dentists and are very good. They are both very gentle and know what they are doing. They are very considerate of their patients. They also have a wonderful and caring office staff. We have been going here for years even before Dr. Joshi bought the practice. I would heartily recommend them because it they weren’t good, we would have left when he took over the practice. You will be pleased with their service and thoroughness.
