I’m a bit behind in my reviews and per Unilocal this place is now CLOSED… with all the TACO stands in Pomona that really doesn’t surprise me, what does surprise me is the 4.5-Star average this place had, I guess some people have low standards! The wife and I came here there was no orders ahead of us and the food took a bit too long to serve IMO for what we ordered, also all items across the board they are/were VERY stingy with the meat. Quesadilla de Carne Asada($ 6.59) As you will see in the next photo they are stingy with the Meat & Cheese the carne asada was OK but not enough and definitely needed more cheese. 2.5-Stars Refritos — This came with above quesadilla, refritos were good not great. Tacos($ 0.99) Carnitas — I like crisp carnitas but these were also on the DRY side = NO Bueno! 2-Stars Al Pastor — Looks nice, but it really didn’t have much flavor. 3-Stars Breakfast Torta de Chorizo con Huevo($ 4.59) They use/used a Bolillo instead of the traditional Telera roll, my only issue with this was it needed more Chorizo it was more like an Egg Sandwich, not much Chorizo at all. *(3-Stars for taste, but for holding out on the Chorizo I gotta keep it real) 2-Stars

I’ve been to this place twice, the first time I was very pleased while the second… not so much. The first time I ordered about twenty tacos-they were great! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant kitchen is very clean, which I really liked. When you order tacos they throw in some corn chips for you along with some salsa. Although, the second time I went and I ordered my tacos they tossed THREE miserable corn chips into the plastic bag, making me very angry. I probably won’t return but if I do I’ll make sure to tell them to throw in more chips. Their tacos are also only ONE dollar, which was amazing! The second time I also asked for a side of guacamole and when I got home(I ordered to go) the guacamole tasted terrible! It tasted like rancid sour cream, I guess they might mix their guacamole with sour cream but it was awful.

I ordered a wet burrito de carne asada, originally asked for green salsa but the lady said they were all out by 10 am, bummer. The red salsa was just okay. I also ordered a taco de lengua, as I love lengua and was very interested if maybe this was a new go to spot for tacos. Its not. Food is good don’t get me wrong, but I live about 20 – 25 min away, I wouldn’t make the drive just to come here. Four stars because the lady that took my phone order was great, awesome customer service skills! Overall, good spot if you are in the area. Anyone have any suggestions what else might be really good from there?

When people talk about a hole in the wall joint with good food, this is the place. Not much more to add. Except there is indoor seating with a handful of tables and bar seats out front. And delicious tacos. So, yeah, go and enjoy.

I have been here a few times. The food is decent and the service and prices are good. The potato tacos are my favorite. Parking lot is really small.

The food is good. Just a regular taco shop but it gets the job done. Would recommend al pastor.

Had myself a carne asada burrito with everything. It was very good and the flavor of the meat was excellent. We also had some home made chips and salsa which was also very good. We added salt to the chips. My daughter had chicken soft tacos. She is very picky but she loved them and at two of them. She just had lettuce and some lime juice. Cost was very reasonable. It was my first time but will not be my last!

Stumbled on this place when I searched through Unilocal and this place popped up. It’s located in the same little plaza as a 7 – 11 along with a few other businesses so if it’s during a busy time finding parking can be a little difficult but I think I saw I saw a sign that said additional parking in the rear! I ordered a carne asada burrito(meat, beans, rice, and salsa that isn’t too spicy which is nice for a spice wimp like me) to go and added fresh avocado(extra) and my total came out to a little under $ 7. They take card, and there might be a minimum but I wasn’t told about it when I handed my card over. The guy who took my order was super nice and I didn’t have to wait that long to receive my food so I was super happy about that. When you pickup your order from the window they offer you jalapeños, chips, salsa, etc. to go with your meal. I found it super filling. It’s pretty close to home so I’ll more than likely come back again to try something else off their menu.

Been here a few times over the years and quality still remains an A+. My fav is the Barbacoa plate. Absolutely delicious. The hubby always goes for the authentic tacos and declares them the best. By far this place exceeds expectations as it is very small and parking is tight, but for what their dealing with this place tops them all. The authenticity reminds me if grandmas house.

Little taco stand right across my work that actually has a decently extensive menu of Mexican food. Great thing is they take card, with a $ 5 minimum. And owner speaks English, there’s quite a few restaurants around the area that have workers that hardly speak any English.(But you know the food is authentic!) Tacos, burritos, sopes, they have it all. They have a good sized breakfast menu too though I haven’t tried it yet. What I’ve tried: chicken, beef, beef tongue tacos. Not bad pretty decent with onions and cilantro, I prefer their red sauce over the green. They have an awesome special; 3 soft tacos + soft drink for $ 3.99. Though you have to add more money for beef tongue. Decent portions, great prices and friendly owner. They have a few tables with umbrellas outside to eat, no indoor dining since it’s just a small stand.

This place is close, fast, inexpensive and pretty damn good. I tried all their tacos and a carne asada burrito. The good news is that the carne asada burrito is really good and has a unique flavor to it. The bad news is that I forget which of the tacos really stood out. I guess I’m going to have to try it again.

Their carne asada burritos are amazing I order then with sour cream and guacamole and they to die for. The super carne asada fries are bomb as well as their super nachos. The tortas on the other hand need to be improved but everything else is good.

I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember! It’s a hole in the wall but the food is good and the price is good too. I always get the carne asada burrito or the chile verde. The service is great, family owned! If you’re looking for authentic, come here! :)

Ordered taquitos and a El Pastor sope and a burrito. The taquitos weren’t greasy and had the perfect crunch. The Sope wasn’t greasy either and tasted fresh, with all the flavors just right. although it didn’t have alot of meat Their guacamole is more of a sauce than straight guac. This is a step above your average Mexican food. Having said, that their portions aren’t huge, and you have to pay extra if you want more than the oz of their delicious salsa they give you. If you’re more interested in size than substance, you should stick to the burritos because they are huge. It’s a sketchy area, so I wouldn’t go there after dark.

It’s been about a week & I’m not over it, so here’s my review: I guess«El Buen Taco» guy didn’t know I had a Unilocal account to know better than to f*ck with my loyalty. So, I loved their tacos, especially the carne asada, so yummy so 5 stars! I used to be a regular for the past 5 years!!! But the one day that I decide not to drink soda anymore, I just ask for a cup of ice(to fill it out with water) and the dude charges me as if it was a soda!!! WTF!!! I go to pollo loco, jack in the box and other places and they all give it to me for free! & I even told him, like are you seriously going to charge me for this? & He said«oh sorry, management» It really pissed me off! I’m not just a random person that stops by, I was a regular & that’s besides the point– but to charge me for fucking ice or a penny cup?! The old owner would have never done that! F*ck that! I’m Out Of Here B*tches! PS: Yesterday, I fought my cravings for buen taco and NOPE I’m not going back to this place EVER Again… I went to Jack In the Box for the Fajita Pita(better for me, anyway)

I have been working in Pomona for 10 years and feel like I’ve tried or at least heard about all of the restaurants in my area. I did a search on Unilocal and found this one with great reviews, so I decided to try it. So glad I did! I had one of the best burritos ever. It was so large, I only made it through halfway. It was a wet carne asada burrito with everything. SOooo good! The staff was quick and friendly as well. I’ll definitely try this place again.
