Very dishonest people there avoid this place. I bought a few chip key on eBay for about $ 12, I brought it to these guy to copy, and twice they purposely messed up my key.
I am telling ya these guys are not happy about the fact that I only spent $ 12 for a high quality chip key on eBay, these guys purposely messed it up so that they can try to sell you their key for over $ 200.
I’ve brought my chip key to some hole in the wall place with some old equipment and they cut it no problem time after time.
FYI:
If you happen to own a Toyota or Lexus for about $ 30 you can buy the following item on eBay and save hundred$$$ of dollar.

With a little technical skill you can program your own key and avoid getting ripped off by these fools.

Wow! Hard to imagine it, but I guess this shop doesnt want to do business with us. What? We weren’t good enough for your precious shop? Ok, we can go somewhere else. Maybe Home Depot will treat us better.

I brought my entire lock set here out of my classic car to have them rekeyed. The heavy set younger guy said no problem and that they would also replace all the stainless steel lock covers. When I came to pick them up the guy said they colud not rekey the glove box or the trunk. So he went ahead and rekeyed the doors and the ignition lock. He made 5 keys for the ignition lock and one for the door? Why? now I am stuck with 3 different keys to operate the vehicle. He also said they would put new tumbler covers on. The covers were all dented and they only put «new «ones on the door locks. When I told the guy he said that «none of this was there problem», not even the fact that they cut 5 keys for one lock and 1 for the other. I basically got ripped off for $ 45 .I wish I would have just bought an aftermarket lock set. Now I’m stuck with a complete mess. If you own a classic car do yourself a favor and find a better alternative than this place.

Used them to rekey my rental property. Poor service, communication, and they broke a brand new lock set i bought from them and wanted me to pay for a replacement! Huh? I won’t be recommending them, nor going back for the abuse! NEVER again!

I have been living in Pomona for 20 years, and every time we need a set of copy keys, we go here. They are pretty fast at what they are doing and we never had a problem. They also unlock safe if you lost your combo.

Rick at Curley’s took care of me and programmed the remote key I bought on the Internet. All other locksmiths I called about programming for my 2012 Hyundai Sonata charged $ 30 — $ 80 even if it didn’t work. Rick did it for $ 20 only if it worked… and it did work. I highly recommend this place, I appreciate an honest business like this.

I had an appointment for them to come out and rekey my house today. They’ve been good up to now, calling me to check in on the time, probably spoke to them 2 or 3 times today. 4:30 comes and its an hour past their appt time and I figured since they’ve been so good so far, something must be up so I call. The guy on the phone tells me their previous appointment took longer than expected and they can’t make it today. They can call me for every other thing but not to let me know they aren’t coming?! Wow, won’t do business with them ever again and will let everyone know about their customer service. I called another locksmith that came up first in my area on Unilocal (with all 5 star reviews) and he’s coming in 30 minutes. It just goes to show good customer service goes a long way; and Unilocal reviews really help promote business good or bad.

Very bad service! They treat their customers like beggars begging for alms! They can’t even look you in the eye! I have
2 keys made for my car, the attendant is talking to me across the other end of the store and we’re yelling the specifics of the keys and the price. Once I paid for the items I bought, I told the sales person that I’m going to try it on my car which is just parked outside the store. Once I tried the keys, 1st turn, it already broke into 2 pieces and the end part was left inside the key socket. I told the sales person what had happened. He came out removed the stocked piece, then I asked if he’s going to replace it since I just tried it the 1st time, and it already is broken. He tried the other key and my original keys (which both worked) and told me he’s not going to replace it because «You are the one who broke it!»! I did not argue with him anymore. I was only waiting for him to explain to me why he can’t replace it in a nicer and non-​confrontational manner, but I don’t see any point in arguing.

Good, conscientious guy who came to our house for re-​keying. The work itself took longer than I thought (almost 2 hours), but we had 6 locks to rekey. I was worried that they would charge me extra given how long it was taking, but they didn’t. Would definitely recommend.

I stopped writing reviews recently because they became boring and mundane, HOWEVER, Curley’s Key Shop deserves a review. Random, right?
I needed my mom’s mailbox lock changed because she just moved into a new home and was moving down that day. I had an appointment with Curley’s and upon arrival, I found that the house lock wasn’t working either! The movers were due in 20 minutes and I couldn’t even get into the freakin’ house.
Right at that moment, this guy from Curley’s shows up who, I might add, may not have been THE Curley but it really, really looked like his name would probably be Curley.
Anyway — he spent an hour on both locks and only charged $ 77 total.
Let me tell you, I called 5 other locksmiths in the Pomona area and all of them quoted me over $ 95. I didn’t go with any of them. Curley quoted me $ 67 AND only charged another $ 10 to fix the busted door lock, even though it took him half an hour.
That kind of service and pricing deserves a Unilocal feedback. Thanks Curley!
