Dr. Schmidt is a very caring doctor. Sometimes over the top. She sends your kid off to a specialist for ANY little thing. It’s good in a way because you’re better safe than sorry however, you end up worrying 99% of the time for NOTHING. It kind of makes you wonder what is going on there with all these referrals. I’ve had other pediatricians for my kids and this hardly ever happened. So if you have been dealing with a pediatrician that doesn’t seem to care much, go to Dr. Schmidt is the complete opposite. I must warn you about her staff though. Most lack a personality or are just down right rude. Some are fresh out of the high school ROP program it seems. They lack customer/​patient service. I saw an elderly lady who could barely walk, go up to the counter and ask the receptionist if they had the number to triple A and this receptionist just said «No».She didn’t bother to get on her computer, or her personal cell phone to look it up. She just stood there like a statue. What the??? I was about to help her but, before I could reach for my phone another patient who was in the waiting room also heard the conversation and whipped out his phone and offered help and started looking for her.
If you can get past this, you’re good… unless you have to speak with her assistant who is totally god-​complexed and condescending. The office staff is more than half the problem there and it has been for years. The office staff alone get 0 stars.
