Jim and Justin have always been there for me and my family! They provide excellent customer service and are always up front with me about everything. I always feel confident when I take our cars to them because they don’t try to rip you off like other mechanics I’ve been to! Thanks for the great and honest service guys!

Been going to Jim for more than 10 years for minor repairs on my vehicles. Oil changes, tune ups, etc. what sealed the deal for me was when I was needing brakes on my 2006 Mini Cooper, I love my car as everyone does, but I waited a few years for this particular car. It’s special to me. Brakes went bad, dealer quoted me ridiculous price, but then got a flyer in the mail from a garage saying they specialize in mini coopers without dealer price! They sent me a coupon for a 40 dollar oil change. Which is 250 at the dealer. It was a one time deal to get me in there so I went. Good service, until the end when he started telling me what was wrong with my practically new and well maintained car. Needless to say he quoted me 1200! For brakes which was cheaper than the dealer. I was gonna pay but was short a few hundred. I’m embarrassed to say I let it go for a year! I know! I know! Just didn’t have 1200 dollars. So… When I did I went to c&j asked for the same service was prepared to 1200 and was only 600! With shot rotors! I could’ve got my brakes done sooner if I would’ve shopped around but put too much trust in some mechanics! I recommend 100% totally honest! And show and tell you exactly what they did! Side note took my gf car in after having service at another garage and Jim wanted to report him for shorty and dishonest practices! That’s pride!

We take all our cars here from work and my family. Been going there since 1990. Jim is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. Will not charge you for work that doesn’t need to be done. Prices are fair, and the quality of work is superb. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

My wife and I had just set out on a hang gliding adventure for Labor Day weekend. We left Sylmar on Wednesday night, and promptly broke down in Pomona. I did a quick Unilocal search on my phone and came up with C&J Automotive Repair. We spent the night in a flea bag motel along the 10, then headed out to C&J the next morning at 8:30AM with our fingers crossed.
Jim, the owner, and his assistant went out of their way to fix the car, and had us out of there and back on the road inside an hour! And his rate was MORE THAN FAIR! He had other cars on the racks needing help, but saw our plight and dropped everything to help us.
I could not have been happier with the service, the technical know how, the cleanliness of Jim’s place and just the general vibe going on at C&J. If you have to get your car worked on out in that neck of the woods, you will not go wrong by taking your car to C&J. Just the best you can hope for in a mechanic!
