History

Established in 2012.

We saw story after story of abused animals. Whether in a pet store sitting in a cage day and night or with massive ‘puppy mill’ breeding facilities. We decided to do something.

The fact is, there are still good breeders out there. There are also consumers who appreciate the convenience of being able to buy online. By creating a Breeder network of ethical breeders, we are able to help these breeders have more time to focus on their puppies and their puppies parents.

My company, Bet​ter​Breeder​Bu​reau​.com, is working to build an online community of ethical breeders. We do this by having high standards for treatment of animals, housing, daily care and genetics. We require ongoing on site, in person visits with the breeders in our network. We have already had to turn down some breeders due to uncovering of criminal neglect charges. Business Owner

Matthew is from Winter Haven, a small town in Central Florida nestled between Orlando and Tampa. Having grown up with beautiful family dogs form a Bearded Collie that was featured in television commercials to a Bouvier Des Flandres and Golden Retriever, Matthew has always had a love of dogs as family pets.

After having served 8 years with the United States Marine Corps, he began working various corporate roles from sales to staffing. During this time, Matthew became aware of a growing problem in the Breeding community. Consumers wanted the ability to purchase purebred puppies online, however there were unethical breeders that did not show the proper care for ethical breeding standards, nor the animals that they housed.

Matthew realized there was a need for a service that identified and screened breeders, much like a Corporate HR department identifies excellent potential employees. He also incorporated an annual on site inspection program all found at Bet​ter​Breeder​Bu​reau​.com.
