Established in 2009.

We have proudly been a part of the Point Pleasant community since 2009 as The Shore House Bar and Grill. Our building has been here since the mid 1800’s. We are one of the oldest operating restaurant/​bars in New Jersey.

If you’re just looking for a good environment with a great list of beer, this is the place to go, but recently the food has declined tremendously in the past year or so. We would go in and order whatever off of the menu and it was always a safe bet. But lately everything have been either over cooked, undercooked, or just plain nasty. I’m thinking they must have gotten a new chef or something recently, because the last few times I’ve went there the food was horrendous. It really is sad because I used to love going in there for dinner and a beer, but I probably won’t be back. When I would come in like a year or so ago, you would see every customer with a plate of food in front of them as well as a beer. Now it seems like everyone is just there for the beer because the food isn’t good anymore. Seriously a huge let down. I’m hoping something changes soon because the shore house used to be an awesome place.

I’m really feeling this place. The music is Bomb… Shout out to The DJ. Playing all the hip hop!!! Shout out to Chris my Margarita is the $h*t… Good Looking Cousin. Nice Crowd. Very Diverse. I’m feeling it.

This place always has a crowd. The food is good for a bar. My husband is part of the beer club. They have a lot of specials and they have a free shuttle service. The only thing is, I feel the place could be a but cleaner.

Stopped in this past Friday night for a drink. I was curious since I haven’t been to this place since it was The West Side. What struck my husband and I at once was the unfriendliness — our bartender looked bored and behaved as though he was annoyed with everyone at the bar except his friend sitting at the end to whom he devoted all of his attention. I inquired about a couple of people that worked there before the change of ownership. He responded with short, curt responses with no eye contact. Same for the clientele who appeared morose and sullen. We had our drink and high-​tailed it out of there. Bad energy.

My favorite hangout at the jersey shore!
Best food (get the wings) in the area. Staff is top notch and the owners make you feel like family.
Always something going on every night. Darts and bingo are my favorites, but hard to beat $ 3 any drink on Thursday nights after 6 p.m.
If you haven’t been, you have to go for a great time.

I’ve been here a few times now… It’s your typical bar/​tavern. They have a DJ come at night once in a while. Drinks are priced well and the bartenders are cool, food really isn’t bad either. TV’s everywhere so if you’re coming for a game you won’t have to crane your neck to see a screen.

I can’t believe one of the oldest operating taverns in New Jersey doesn’t have an existing Unilocal profile! Well, I just changed that.
Stopped in for a bite and a few cold beers and left with happy and full bellies. Food is your standard bar & grill fare yet it mixes in some unexpected dishes that got me a bit excited to eat there. Things like blackened tuna bites with cajun remoulade, lump crab cocktail, and sweet corn nuggets with red pepper aioli. The beer selection on tap was pretty impressive. In other words, not your typical bar
and grill. Plenty of TV’s to watch the games and plenty of regulars to keep you entertained as you drink and enjoy the food.
