Richard Bubnowski Design is a unique award winning design firm known for attentiveness to detail and finish. Our designs are contemporary, yet the pieces in our furniture collections have strong roots in traditional architectural styles. Through our furniture, we have redefined those traditional styles in a clean modern way. This has become the signature for both our furniture and our architecture.

Business Owner

Richard Bubnowski has been designing houses in the New York metro area for over twenty years. Specializing in New Urban residential and mixed-​use projects, Richard spent several years working with the renowned architectural firm of Looney Ricks Kiss before opening his own design studio in 2005. He currently focuses on highly crafted custom residences in addition to furniture inspired by traditional and contemporary architecture.

He received his architectural training at The Catholic University of America and Pratt Institute. His work has been published widely in Coastal Living, Style 1900, Home, Design Bureau, Design NJ, Arts and Crafts Homes, Old House Interiors, Qualified Remodeler, and Builder.

Since opening his studio, he has completed various homes along the coast of New Jersey for a national clientelle. He is currently working on additional ideas and designs for his Surfers End furniture collection, as well as new houses along the shore and elsewhere.
