Great company for moving! Highly recommend! Everything went smooth from beginning to end! Tracy

This is the most incompetent company I have ever seen. It hurts me to retell this but I’m doing so out of courtesy to others. First, this is NOT a Mayflower mover… if you’ve ever had good experience with Mayflower(we have, many times) you will NOT get it here. To help sell our house we put some of our stuff in storage. The sales lady/estimator admonished me not to buy the extra insurance. «We’re really good and it would be a waste of your money.» When the crew showed up there was the driver and a helper. The driver was typical — short, ripped with muscles. The helper was a tall, lanky guy who was clearly not familiar with 20th century personal hygiene practices; and I will bet big bucks was in a chemically induced state. Both were dressed in their grubbies… forget a clean-shaven guy with a crisp Mayflower shirt. One of the first things out of the helper’s mouth was put to my wife: «Ya wanna sell any of yo shit?» I should have followed my gut and fired them then and there. We did complain and asked that we never see the helper again. Later in the day they dropped a gorgeous Sony TV(tube). Ooops. Ummm, would you like to compensate me for that? Nope. We had a desk/table that they could not get out of the room in which it was sitting. OK, leave it. My wife and I got it out the next day and they returned shortly thereafter to add it to our belongings in storage, wondering how we performed our«magic.» Several months later when the house sold we asked for our stuff to be returned. To our horror, same crew. Looking and smelling just the same. The first thing out of the driver’s mouth: «We ummm have a little problem.» A gorgeous Italian leather sectional couch had been ruined. It looked like a giant Chia Pet with blue fuzz stuck all over it. It was the best piece of furniture we ever bought — about $ 8000 — and now it looked like shit. To make a long story short, they wrapped the couch in their cheap blue packing blankets and the heat and humidity in their crappy storage area got so high the blanket melded with the leather. The rest of the move-in was also painful, with the driver all but whipping the helper who rarely picked up anything heavier than a box of Kleenex. Again, I suspect his reality had been altered earlier that day by a number of custom pharmaceuticals. For weeks I had to hound the office to get any information about the claim we put in. The person I needed to talk to was NEVER in. What answers we got were vague and offputting. Then a letter arrives: Their offer of $ 240. Based on 60¢ a pound. That’s what you get when you don’t take the extra insurance. You have to be kidding me, I said. They could easily back up a truck and dump everything into the canal and owe the customer 60¢ a pound.(Based on another review they may also offload TVs and such to a «friend».) We ended up suing them and won… although the judge ignored the facts that a mover has to make best/professional efforts to protect a customer’s goods. So we came up way short in money. I’m sure they do OK for some people. And they will no doubt post some 5-star reviews from employees. You’ve been warned. We made a huge mistake. We hope you can learn from this. I wouldn’t use this company to move anything. Just my opinion.

I’ve moved 7 times in 2 different countries, this one was the worst experience ever. The move: 1 Bedroom, Jersey City/NJ — Fort Lauderdale/FL — estimate $ 1760.00 The pickup: 03/19/2015 — It was schedule to 9am, they arrived 10h30, than they took 4 hours!!! to put my stuff in the truck, that was all packed already by me. After everything in the truck they say that the total changed to $ 3,999.98, and I’ve to pay 50% of that… just that… absurd The wait for the delivery: After a week they call me asking for more money to schedule the delivery, which was told to me at the sign of the agreement that I’ve to pay 50% on pickup and 50% on the delivery, now they want 70% in front. The delivery: 04/08/2015 — It took 20 days to delivery my stuff, and guess what? My 60’TV is missing, 2 extra large boxes with 3 led 24′ inside are missing part of my office desk is missing, and the vanity table is totally destroyed Today I try to call the company nobody answers at the Claim department, I’ve filled it online but it seems that nobody gives a damn. Next steps: Call my lawyer. Run away from this company(if you can call that a company)
