Jeff Glover and Associates

Shady, stay away… they are more concerned about their fees than doing the right thing by their clients. Integrity is important to me and they don’t have it.

I recently purchased my first home. My agent, Susan Berry, was a joy to work with.

Our agent Jay Harrison was exceptional. He was always ready to show us houses, he sent me emails with homes that met or exceeded our wants. What I like best about working with Jay is I felt comfortable. He was easy to talk to and gave us great respect. He also never insisted on anything. If we wanted to see a Condo, home or whatever he showed it. Also, we were looking in a 250 square mile area so Jay spent a considerable amount of time travelling throughout Oakland, Livingston and Washtenaw County to meet us :) Trying to find a new home is always stressful, but Jay made it fun too. I plan to sell my current home with him too because I can’t imagine working with anyone else !

Jeff and his team were fantastic throughout the entire process. We had a few bumps along our way regarding the seller and the team helped resolve them quickly and communicated with us throughout. We highly recommend Jeff Glover and associates.

I regret my choice to hire Jeff Glover and here’s why… The first appointment he cancelled only an hour prior to his scheduled visit. He did call and said he was simply too busy. I rescheduled my appointment with Jeff only to have him show up 2 hours late. The onboarding process with Jeff actually went quite smoothly which calmed my concerns. He did get the house on the market quickly and I had many showings and several offers after just a few days on the market. I accepted the highest and best offer. The inspection went fine. The appraisal came back significantly under the offer price. This is where I lost confidence in Jeff. Upon receiving the appraisal, I spoke with Jeff and his team. Our agreement was that Jeff was going to work with the appraiser and bank to make an attempt to bring up the appraised value. This never happened. Jeff’s advice was to simply put the home back on the market and that is what I did. After being back on the market for a couple of weeks, I received another offer. Jeff’s team sent me the offer with a deadline less than 24 hours from my receipt. I had questions and concerns about this offer and reached out to Jeff and his team over telephone, email and text message several times during that 24 hour period. No response. It took a full 7 days and several calls to Jeff to get a response. By the time I heard back, the buyer had rescinded the offer because they had «cold feet». I believe that Jeff’s lack of response cost me a very solid deal. Jeff says that he provides updates to all clients who list with him every two weeks. This could not be further from the truth. My house was listed with Jeff for almost 4 months and after the initial listing there was very little communication from Jeff. Getting in contact with him or someone at his office proves impossible most of the time. Needless to say, I have moved on to an agent who provides quality service. I have heard more from her in 5 days than I heard from Jeff in 4 months. If service is what you are after, I suggest you hire a different agent. It is a sellers market and interest rates are low. If you have a quality home and price it right, it will sell. If you need an agent to help you through the process, hire someone who needs your business. They will take good care of you. Oh, and all the advertisements about spending money on marketing… Jeff doesn’t do anything unique to market your home. But he does do a great job marketing himself with the billboards and radio ads.

If I could give zero stars, then I would. I should have believed all the reviews that I have seen online. I called and scheduled an appointment for 5pm on a Thursday. After leaving work and driving through terrible traffic, I arrive to discover that they had no record of my appointment and didn’t know who I was supposed to see. An agent was located to meet with me. I answered all the questions asked and was led to believe that this company would work hard to get me out of my current home and into one closer to my work. Four weeks later and I have received no contact from the agent (Anthony) or anyone else at the company. This business is a joke.

I saw advertising all around metro-​Detroit for this company, so I decided to contact them for my upcoming home purchase. What a mistake. Their slogan is a house“sold” name because they don’t want anything to do with your purchase unless you want to buy one of their homes.
I talked to Jeff himself, who once he found out what I was looking to spend had no interest in obtaining any additional information on what I’m looking for. I got one email with a link to a few houses, emailed back and immediately asked for corrected search parameters, and haven’t heard back since. I’ve called multiple times, emailed, left multiple messages. I was assigned «Jessie», but as far as I’m concerned she doesn’t exist. I’ve never spoken to her or heard back from her.
I’m a relatively low maintenance client. I know what I want and just needed the correct tools to look myself. I would’ve been easy money for them. Luckily I have time to find myself someone who will give me the time of day.
By the way, read the reviews that aren’t recommended for this company. I’m not the first to have this issue.

I spent three days trying to get this agency to show me a house. After calls not only to the agent but also to the management I have now given up on this establishment being reputable at all. They are greedy succubuses helping the industry slash and burn all of Detroit. If Detroit doesn’t come back, this establishment will be part of the reason why.
