Best Tile of Plymouth

We have been long time customers of Best Tile in Albany, NY and have always been happy with their professional expertise and customer service. Best Tile in Plymouth’s staff had neither the design skills nor initiative to suggest custom treatments for the black splash and mural for our kitchen on the Cape. In fact my husband had to clarify directly with Wet Dog Tile representatives how we wanted our custom starfish mural designed. The staff at Pymouth Best Tile couldn’t communicate our wishes. In addition the staff did not provide any design recommendations on the border for the mural and in fact sold us a pencil ceramic border that was not to scale for the mural. In addition the staff oversold the amount of grout insisting my husband needed the 25 lb. bag, which he questioned based on his past experience, when in fact he needed less than ½ and could have saved significantly with the smaller bag. They also insisted he needed a special sealer, which he did not purchase as the sealer was more than double Home Depot’s sealer that he had used in the past.
The staff at the Albany store designed 2 showers for our primary home, 4 bathroom floors, a laundry room floor, and the fireplace hearth — all custom designs with suggestions on colors and materials. For the previous tile work on the Cape we purchased at home and transported to Chatham — We wish we had done the same for the Cape kitchen remodel.
The staff certainly did not provide professional level service in Plymouth.

This tile place does not install. It might be big but it’s that lack of service. It took 20 minutes before someone came over to ask if we needed help

As a disclaimer, I’m reviewing this as both a tile store and as a tile buying novice…
Large showroom, with extremely helpful staff. I’m not sure how many people they had working, but we commandeered one associates time for over an hour. We were able to select all of the tile for inside our shower, including the border, floor and accent pieces.
The only down side (but I didn’t take a star away for it) was the hours they are open aren’t really convenient.
