Had dinner there last night w family. Given option of eating in restaurant or tavern area we were able to choose seats. The waitress came over quickly poured water & took our drink orders. Large salads and they have a section where you pick your protein(shrimp, chicken or veal) pick your sauce(Parmesan, Marsala etc etc) pick your pasta. Generous portions w leftovers for lunch! No room for dessert but will be back!!!

Had heard some positive reviews of Aroma from a neighbor and decided to give it a try. First off, I’ll say I(like many other reviewers) wanted so badly to like this place, we desperately need some place reliable in the Manomet to Cedarville stretch. First the menu: Aroma is a restaurant that can’t decide what it should be. Is it Asian? Italian? It has primarily Italian offerings, arancini, calamari, «be the chef» pasta/sauce combos. The night I was there they had a hoi-sin salmon over low mein on special so I had that. The salmon was good, the lo mein was drowned in a soupy, greasy mess of Asian flavors, mostly teriyaki. The pasta itself seemed to be re-purposed spaghetti from the other side of the menu. So to be fair, next time I’ll try something more standard off the menu and see how it goes. My wife had a chicken ceasar salad and liked it. The dining room: it’s a struggle. No real ambiance. We sat at a four top in the middle and it felt awkward. The lounge however had a more cozy feel but I read reviews of obnoxious ‘townies’ harassing people in the lounge, not really my scene anyway, but would be a cool option if I’m ever solo for the night and want to eat at a cozy bar. The good: the waitress was nice, attentive. We had a four year old with us and ordered the burger sliders for him off the kids menu. They were a hit! The waitress also brought him a balloon, nice touch, smiles all around. Bottom line: I wish they would concentrate on one cuisine or the other.(I never realized how offensive parmesan cheese smells until you’re eating Asian flavors and it wafts over your way, it’s completely foreign). A really eclectic, fusion style, Asian bistro would be awesome. Featuring creative Asian dishes, amazing cocktails and easy takeout. To be fair, we will try again and I’ll update the review.

My experience was horrendous. As a restaurant owner I may have a somewhat biased opinion, but nonetheless that was painful. The bartender was cold and had clearly over served the patrons that were already seated when I arrived. As I ordered a customer repeated my order in a mocking slurred voice and started us off just right. The annihilated customers were allowed free reign to yell obscenities and offend nearly everyone in the place. The food was ok, but the experience was horrible. No customer, whether it be a regular or a first timer should be allowed to act like that or to be served that much. Just when I thought it wasn’t possible for this woman to drink more, she was served another blue moon. At what point do you put your restaurant before your so called loyal customer base. We were first time and last time diners. I wanted to love this place, but customers are a reflection of their environment. That was ridiculous.

Party of three. Two lamb specials and a baked haddock were ordered. The good: No complaints about the haddock The mashed potatoes and kale with garlic were great. Those sides came with the lamb. The bad: The lamb was ordered medium rare. When the lamb arrived it was quite well done and dry. The lamb was grey on the inside. Had to saw my way through that mess and douse lamb in gravy and mint jelly to moisturize. I was so happy to leave when the check arrived. The location of this restaurant was convenient and I wanted to like this place. However, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the food. This place is supposedly«chef-owned». Where are they? Can someone please call them and have them show the cook staff how to cook meat?

I am writing this review on behalf of my boss and his wife, who had dinner there over the weekend. «If I could give this place a zero star review, I would. I ordered a rare prime rib and emphasized the „RARE“ component of the steak. When my prime rib was brought out to me, it was gray in color, well done, no juice to it at all and completely overcooked– in fact it was worse than well done, this would have been considered overcooked by „well done standards“. The waiter — who was nice– asked how the food looked and I explained to him it wasn’t rare and it was the total opposite. He replied by saying „I know, the cook said it’s the best he could do“. I felt bad sending him back as it was not the waiter’s fault. If you spend $ 100 on a meal, you don’t want to have to stop by the grocery store to pick up dinner on the way home after– and that’s what I did.»

Food is good here but they wouldn’t adjust their menu for my religious requirements ie: no meat on Good Friday. I find that irritating. Bartender didn’t even go ask anyone she just said no. Btw only one other person in here at the time. So probably won’t come back out of principal. Also the item I wanted to substitute was less in price then the one offered. Come on now! A lost opportunity for me to leave happy instead leaving under whelmed.

This restaurant was great! My friend found it on Unilocal and they seated our group of 6 quickly. Traveling from Boston.

Best restaurant in Manomet. Consistently good food no matter what you order. I especially love the beet salad with grilled chicken, and the broiled schrod dinners. My husband says the fried calamari is the best. Love the wait staff so friendly and attentive. This is a hidden gem in our small part of Plymouth.

After reading the online ratings I thought I would give this restaurant a try and they exceeded my expectations. The space is deceiving from the outside, its larger inside. The waitress was excellent and staff for making sure our water was refilled and checking to see if we needed drinks while our food was cooking. I figured they must have a professional chef operating the kitchen because our dishes were excellent. I had the chicken marsala and my friend had the shrimp scampi and both were cooked perfectly. Also, before the meal the waitress brought a bread basket with a variety of breads that were delicious. If you try this restaurant you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have been looking for a place close to our house, and this is so it!!! Walked in after the Patriots game yesterday(12÷14÷14 around 5pm), and there were plenty of people hanging in the lounge/car area, so we were seated in an empty dining room. Although the place looks small, it’s deep with low ceilings. It was wonderfully warm, and cozy. A little heavy on the X-mas decorations, but we can let this slide since it will all be over soon. We started with beers(I only had once since I like mine with dinner). The waitress was nice, and very friendly. We had to take our time ordering, since we’ve heard so many good things. She brought over a basket with 3 rolls. Each was piping hot! They had just come out of the oven. One was a sweet bread, another pumpernickel, and the third was a plain white. My husband and myself split all three. Each one we cracked open had steam escaping. When we were ready to order we started with apps. I ordered a State Road Caesar Salad, and my husband asked for the wings. They had completely sold out of 65 lbs of chicken wings!!! Although we were upset, we understood that the Pats game had been earlier, and I’m sure that was the driving force of the crowd. My husband decided on the chicken rubbed quesadilla. I ordered the arancini(stuffed with basil, mozzarella & risotto) and he had the angus burger. Our apps came out quickly. My salad was great(how can you screw up a salad?), but my husband RAVED about his chicken. I had a bite, and it was delicious! He gave me my own piece to nibble on(after begging!). Halfway through the apps our server asked if we would like some more bread. My husband really enjoyed the sweeter bread, so she brought over more of those rolls(just as hot as before) just for him! Our dinner arrived shortly after. My arancini was to die for!!! Homemade marinara sauce! Beautifully cooked and prepared. Each one was perfectly hot, and tasted super fresh. The sauce was sooooo good. My husband had about two bites of his burger. He was so full from his quesadilla that he couldn’t finish his burger. But, he did bring it home for lunch today. We also received a coupon for 15% off our meal(excludes alcohol) from that coupon packet that comes each week in our mailbox. As we were leaving, our hostess had one other couple sit down, who seemed to know the place. She was very attentive, and always knowledgeable of the menu. WEWILLBEBACK!

Went here two nights in a row while in the area. The first night with a party of 5 and the second with a part of 8. Good was excellent and staff was friendly! Only reason why the review wasn’t 5 stars is because it took awhile to get our food, both nights. I have no doubt that was due to the fact they were very crowded!

Stopped here for lunch. Left very disappointed. The staff seemed very distracted — by the tv. The food service was sooo slow. It was so cold I had to put a menu over a vent. The lobster Mac was very watery. Wish I had ate anywhere else.

First time here and most likely last. Service was fair. No glasses given with our bottled beer and empty water glasses stayed empty long after asking for water. We were a bit thirsty by then end of the meal. Glasses were not filled till we finished the meal. Food was just average. Looked better than it tasted. We were disappointed. Sorry, you may want to just keep driving to the next place. Just got the check, it was the wrong one! Really?

We dropped by late last night and had just made it for last call in the kitchen. We were immediately seated on the bar side where there were a good amount of people watching the Patriots pre-season game. Super casual ambiance in this place. Now for the food: Crab cakes — 5⁄5 — these were phenomenal. The thinly sliced pears added great texture and crunch. My only warning here is that it does have a kick to it. For people who don’t like or can’t take spicy foods, this may not be the dish for you. This is the very first crab cake I’ve ever eaten that’s classified as spicy. Wings — 3⁄5 — I didn’t have any personally but the feedback was that it tasted sweet and after a few bites, it started tasting sweeter and sweeter with the build up of the seasoning used. It was pretty standard fare for wings. Scallops entrée — 5⁄5 — loved this dish; so flavorful. The scallops were perfectly seared on the outside and extra tender in the inside. The risotto was creamy and some would even describe it as somewhat cheesy. Rich but worth the calories as it was very savory. All things considered, Aroma gets 4 stars. The food for the most part tasted great, our server was friendly and efficient and our martinis were very reasonably priced and made perfectly. Definitely a nice local place to try out if you’re around this neck of the woods.

I’m just staggered to find a restaurant this good in this location. It is chef-owned, and it shows. My wife and I are Texans on vacation, and I travel constantly for work, so I eat out all the time. Wow! I am gob-smacked just pondering how a place this small turns out such a variety of excellent dishes. We ate here twice in three days, and enjoyed the left-overs as two additional meals. Let’s see, what did we have? Prime rib — bet I’ve ever had, period. Chicken parmesan — so good there is no reason ever to order veal parmesan(which they also offer). Lobster mac and cheese — lots of lobster that actually is flavorful. Veal piccata — perfectly cooked and huge portion. Caesar salad — not overdressed, good flavor, could use a bit more lemon(which you probably have on your plate). French onion soup — my wife is a Cajun French aficionado on this and could not stop praising it. A bottle of nice Pinot Grigio was VERY reasonably priced. We put lots of food into the doggie bags and ordered crème brulee. It came with not only a perfect ratio of crackle to custard, but also several delicious blueberries and strawberries. Oh, and the bread basket they serve is very interesting and tasty. The only miscue in our opinion was a piece of garlic cornbread; but they provide such a selection, there is sure to be something you love. Our server Karen was busy and hard-working. She was constantly lowering our expectations… and then exceeding them by a mile. If you want to watch TV in a high chair, eat in the bar area. If you want a traditional table and an intimate setting, choose the small dining room. We’ve tried both and liked both. Next time we visit the area, we will make a bee-line to Aroma. You should, too!

The proscioutto-goat cheese-pickled diamond red peppers pizzetta was the best, the nr 1, the winner of the meal awards. It was awesome. My 10 $ burger was perfect, I have no remarks to add. I switched my regular fries for the truffle-parmesan fries, which was a good decision. They could have fried the fries a bit crispier, but come on, who could complain on truffle and parmesan? In a mix?! Would definitley come back, yum!(The only critisism I have is that the waiting for the food to come out was a bit long).

Went on a Sunday afternoon. We sat in the bar area and was very pleased with the service. The food was excellent and very very reasonable priced. Only draw-back was the wait for our food was a little long. would hate to see the wait if it was busy… will diffidently go back and give it another try… Don’t let the location of being in a little strip mall deter you… It is a hidden gem!

A local friend had recommended Aroma’s so we went here for Easter brunch and were pretty pleased. While the atmosphere was a little lacking(Think this was the old Nonnas) the quality for value was excellent, and the portions were generous. Inside there’s a pub area up front with some high-tops and tables, a main dining area that was being occupied by a large family group, and we got to sit in the back. I think because it’s tucked back of the lot there off of State road near White Horse, the lack of windows made it seem a little dreary but the service was good and the food clearly had thought and care put into it. We had off the special’s menu for the holiday, a Salmon gravalax with all the fixings(arugula, diced bermuda onions, crostini, sour cream), and for the entrees we had fried clams, roast beef, burger sliders, and linguini carbonara. The fried clams were breaded and cooked perfectly and there was a full pint on the plate vs. the measly half-pint that a lot of places try to push. They were Ipswich clams vs. Cape clams and were excellent. The Prime Rib was also cooked perfectly and a good cut. It was a generous portion as well, great side of homemade mashed, and au jus that was wasn’t overly salty or brothy, and the beef had a nice authentic slightly oaky smoke flavor. Sliders were good too for our little girl, and the carbonara was heaping but a little too greasy either because of the butter and/or amount of bacon that was used. When we’ve had carbonara’s before the presentation is usually sauced but drier and bacon-y but not fatty. This one had the right flavor but was a bit slippery in a laden sort of way. Flavor of everything was excellent though and the value was good as well. Step up from the standard pub fare and the drinks were also well made with some flare(Mojito Martini and Bloody Mary were both well done). I’ll try it again for sure when I’m down there…
