Whole Foods Market

Who wouldn’t want to have a glass of wine (or 2) and then go food shopping. I am new to the area, and although Whole Foods is not a new place to me, I have not had the luxury of having a bar in my home town store. On that note I enjoyed two glasses of red accompanied by a slice of gourmet pizza right before I set out to go grocery shopping. There is also a large «walk in» type refrigerator that holds a mass amount of craft beers. My husband will be in heaven once I tell him (ladies you may be able to convince your man to do the grocery store runs!)
I didn’t have time to go upstairs, however I was told there was a roof deck of some sort with a taco truck. Sounds good to me!

I think WFs in general is going down hill. Thye’ll probably get sold to a private company sometime soon. This WF is avg. No samples! Or hardly ever do they have samples. The meats are good, the fish is so expensive and the fruits & vegetables only ok. I can’t think of one thing that makes them above average. I go there a lot out of habit but I’d have to say their 365 is subpar, Maybe the canned tuna fish is good.

This is the best and nicest whole foods in the area. With that said, the bakery department is very disappointing and leaves a lot to be desired from a quality standpoint. The past two times I purchased doughnuts — stale.
Purchased a cake for New Year’s Eve — all white icing and called the «ball drop cake» in the shape of a white ball. Looked great. Get home and cut into it, a orange layer of fondant is below. Couldn’t even cut it, and the icing all fell off. It was a repurposed cake or a mistake. This would never have been acceptable at any other grocery store. Will post pictures. Returned the cake, customer service was even «surprised».

I’m at Whole Foods every week sometimes more than once. I enjoy it. I love it in fact. I could spend hours there. I alternate between Jenkintown which I prefer because it’s usually empty and The Art Museum area because it’s closer to home and South Street when we enjoy takeout on the roof but today I was in the area and popped into this location for some flowers to bring to my Bubbie. Wow! Gelato bar, trail Mix bar, taco truck on the roof with light strands and FULL Wine and spirits in the store! Umm hell yes! The bath and body section was plentiful as well! Had to make an unnecessary stop there too! The cashier in the express line was super sweet and informed me of the plans to add a beer garden of sorts to the roof in the warmer weather. Man, I wish I still worked right near here! I may just have to make an excuse to head up to this location more often.

This store needs to work on their customer service. My parents have special ordered at least two items from the store months ago, but have never received any calls regarding their arrival.
The system for recording special orders is … In a word, primitive. I went myself the other day to make yet another special order. The customer service person took out a small notepad and took down the information. We were told by one of the guys stocking groceries that these sheets can be easily lost. Most stores have a rain check form or some official form for reordering items.
The cashiers can be very rude. When you are buying multiple glass bottles– is it truly THAT much effort to double bag the glass bottles for a little extra protection? Why does that warrant a dirty look? I’m not talking about this only happening once– so far, these are from the young female cashiers.
Nowadays, Whole Foods is facing a lot of competition in the organic foods sector. If the stores decide customer service is no longer important either, we will start shopping elsewhere.

This used to be a decent store, but it’s really gone downhill. They don’t have labels on the shelves for many items — and when asked, they seem to feel that it isn’t worth the trouble to move labels when items are moved. The staff overall are helpful, when you find someone, but in retail stores people expect to be able to find out the price before they get to the checkout.
Today I went to Whole Foods to get a couple vegan donuts to take home. There was no donut display. I see unlabeled donuts. I ask what they are. They’re not vegan. I ask where the donut display is today. She says they didn’t make any donuts all weekend, they «didn’t have the manpower». I understand that it’s the weekend after Christmas, but you’re a retail store, and you need to have coverage.
I see a muffin that looks possibly vegan, but just like the few donuts they had, there’s no label. I don’t bother trying to get the woman’s attention again and realize that if they haven’t made donuts all weekend, the ones sitting out are at least from Thursday. This was Sunday afternoon.
When I was at the store on Thursday, I picked up a box of clementines and as I was loading them into my car I noticed that there was at least one very badly rotted clementine in the box, right at the top. I took the box back in and showed customer service, and went to get a replacement box. The replacement box also had at least one badly rotten clementine. Does no one check the fruit? Everything I buy from here seems to go bad quickly. I gave them the second box back and took a third (carefully inspected) box. That box contained no moldy fruit, but even those were starting to go bad.
I don’t understand how a store can sell donuts from Thursday (at the latest) on Sunday afternoon for full price. I don’t understand how you don’t have enough staff to make donuts for an entire weekend. I don’t understand how you think you can get away with not moving price tags when items are moved and not labeling things on the shelf. I don’t understand how you can sell boxes containing rotten fruit that no one has bothered to look at. The problems at this store are starting to get out of hand.

Great cinnamon bun with their Chai tea! Like day after Thanksgiving, next weekend they said there would be no cinnamon buns. Boo hoo! Still a great location! Merry Christmas one and all and a great year 2016!

This has got to be one of the most beautiful and clean Whole Foods’ that I’ve ever been to! This particular location is close to my office so I occasionally stop by for lunch with coworkers to get some prepared hot food items. The only thing missing from here is a taco bar, which is included at the Whole Foods location closest to my home. It’s a challenging walk to the prepared foods because you have to pass all the freshly made delectable desserts! I was particularly intrigued by their cookie case and even more excited to see that they had stroopwafel. I’m a sucker for stroopwafel and most other sweets for that matter. I enjoy frequenting this Whole Foods location and appreciate their quality.

My buddy and I stood by our cars in the parking lot. We had just left Dave and Busters after having had enough fun for the day. It was around 6:30pm, too early to go home but too late to start anything new. We talked about seeing a movie but nothing was playing that interested us. We debated going to a restaurant for dessert but it just seemed like (an expensive) hassle.
Just as we were about to call it a night, my friend looked over my shoulder and said «What about Whole Foods?»
I shrugged and said ‚“Why not“
And it ended up being the best decision of the night. They had a pretty bustling sitting area at 7 on a Sunday. We really had a ton of options at our disposal, between the bakery, coffee kiosk and gelato. I bought a coffee, scoop of vanilla gelato and a box of chocolate filled croissants. My friend an apple fritter the size of his head. We sat in the dining area and just ate and talked.
It was a very inviting and family friendly area that was just perfect for any situation, without the worry of tying up a servers table for awhile.
I noticed a beer area nearby, which I did don’t partake in but definitely will at some point. There were also a ton of dinner options if that was what we were looking for.
I highly recommend Whole Foods as a date option for those so inclined. The options were abundant and as inexpensive as you need it to be.

Love this WF in particular! I feel like it has the best set up and selection in the greater Philadelphia area.
This is our go to spot to pick up desserts.
Very thing tastes fresh especially their French macarons and their small dessert selection. The 4 star rating is because their cakes do run on the drier dense side. Their new iced Vietnamese coffee is delicious as well. Great beer selection as well– oh don’t forget the free beer tasting once a month.
Overall– I can find anything from the healthy foods specialities, great veggies and yummy desserts!

Above all else, the taco truck on the roof top is amazing! Be sure to ask for the secret margarita!
I love the buffet offerings here. No Whole Foods that I’ve ever been to has nearly as much of a selection. Coming from NC, I can testify that the BBQ is on point! The meal quality is always consistent and the seating area is well kept.

Very good Whole Foods. The staff here that I interacted with were all really friendly and helpful… Girl with short hair and middle-​aged blonde lady.
I came here to get Sky Vally sriracha, but they were out or didn’t carry it or it wasn’t with the other srirachas or other Sky Vally sauces. I got a local brand and it isn’t even spicy.
Lots of cool local stuff here though. Worth checking this store out and trying something new… Just not the local sriracha. Got some interesting sauce called MesoMex. Tasty with a good kick.

By far my favorite Whole Foods in the greater Philadelphia area. This used to be an almost daily lunch spot when I used to work down the street. It got kind of dangerous because, as all Whole Foods are, it’s expensive.
They have a way bigger selection than any Whole Foods I’ve ever been to. A large eat-​in area and a roof deck with a Taco Truck.
My favorite part is the humungous bulk section and variety of fresh nut butters. They are the only place I know of that have fresh ground Raw Cashew Butter and it’s delicious. A weakness of mine. I’ve actually gone out of my way to go get some.
My one complaint is the parking lot. It gets packed and you may wind up parking far away. But a lot of people don’t know about the underground parking garage which is where I usually park to beat the crowd. I miss not being so close by as the Whole Foods in the city do not even begin to compare.

I love it here. What a great market! Also has a little pub with a nice beer selection. Their salad bar and hot foods are amazingly delicious. Their banana parfaits are soooooo good. I can’t believe it took me this long to start shopping here.

I really miss this Whole Foods, I used to work and live 3 minutes away and would come here all the time. One of my favorite things of this Whole Foods is their cakes!!! They are absolutely delicious and totally worth the money. I really miss getting cakes here for special events, the cakes at the Whole foods in Pittsburgh where I live now are just not the same.
This is also the only Whole Foods I’ve been to with its own pub and outdoor rooftop dining (you can bring food from the buffet bar to eat or get tacos from the food truck upstairs). The beers here are fairly priced for PA standards. You can get the delirium tremens for under $ 13 I believe, and they also have the Game of Thrones beers every season. Aside from the popular beers, there are beers that come and go very quickly, since Cold Point Pub likes to switch things up and introduce new varities.
FYI If you can’t find any parking spots in the parking lot, try the parking garage, it’s located under the Whole Foods, there are plenty of spots there.

I visit this store every time I am in Blue Bell. That means I can’t really speak for overall grocery shopping, meats, produce, etc… But, from panning around, seems to be plentiful.
I enjoy their breakfast bar. Steal cut oats are always hot and ready. Enormous blueberries for toppings, nuts and other berries.
The drink selection is pretty vast, to include, teas, waters, juices, energy drinks, soda, etc.
They have a whole other room for the beer they carry. A beer cave, if you will. Not a bad overall variety. I did see they carry Maine beer (Allagash) so they automatically got brownie points for that.
IMO, a great store. I noticed today that they open earlier than what I am accustomed to in Maine. 7am opposed to 8am.

This review is just for the Cold Point Pub. We stopped in around 5 yesterday and the place was buzzing… my teenage daughter would have loved the amount of hipster beards that were present ;o) Hubs had 3 beers (2 smalls and a pint) that he enjoyed and I had a glass of Riesling. We ordered the nachos, made with hearty chips and this amazingly smoky cheese sauce. Our bill was $ 21…sweet! We’ll be back for sure.

Overall good store. Nicely laid out and taco truck on the roof.
Prepared food is good, really nice salad bar. I’m not a fan of their private label hamburger buns.

Being that my work is right around the mall– I feed my self at least twice a day 4 times week at WF and not to mention I drive 10 miles up the blue route here to do my grocery shopping, beer in the pub and dinner on the weekends
I stop in almost every morning to grab a latte. I love the Allegra free trade coffee and organic locally sourced milk. The staff at the coffee bar are friendly and fast even when there is long line of coffee seekers. The Breakfast bar is very convenient to bring into work — steel cut oatmeal with a variety of nuts, berries, dried fruit & sweeteners to choose and fix the way you like it-!my usual pick is mix of oatmeal with fresh blackberries, almonds & splash of maple syrup. Who can resist tater tots with fresh organic eggs and extra crispy uncured bacon– my second go to choice. When I know I’m booked all day @ work– I grab a salad in the morning with my breakfast to go-​boy do they have the most extensive
salad and choices made with with whole grains and organic veggies. Quinoa, couscous, various beet salads, tabouli, edamame, azuki beans, vegan pad Thai & much more– ALL healthy and seasoned with fresh herbs and fruit. The salad bar area is clean, maintained and well stocked. Every Friday I look forward to see what unique delish donuts are in the donut cart. I bring a dozen variety to my office — bacon maple is big hit with my colleagues. I grab myself the vegan apple fritter for myself– crispy! Lunch time can be hectic with a mob of hungry people making their salads and lines at the prepared foods (sushi, pizza, grill and ore-​made) counter however the express check out cruises through with 4 cashiers. May it to and from work at lunch– making my salad, checking out– 15 min! That’s fast fresh food! On the weekends my husband and I eat dinner there and grab a pint in the pub. Excellent pint and growler prices — highly rated beer on the beer list. Beer fridge room also has quality craft beer choices. Gelato is very reasonably priced — delish– homemade I believe.
Grocery shopping: no matter what aisle or area of the store I browse– the staff always asks if I need any help finding what I need — I never get acknowledged at the other chain grocers! WF produce lasts so much longer in my fridge/​counter b/​c it’s really fresh! My strawberries get molded in a day from other stores AND the organic prices are not much more than the local chain stores. I stock up my freezer when there are sales on antibiotic free meats and chicken. You can taste the difference. Big fan of WF: 365 Everyday brand items — reasonably price– whole ingredients– the ginger ale and sodas are all natural, Mexican rice mix and instant Mac & cheese are my faves.
I forgot to mention that the Taco truck on the rooftop deck is awesome! Can’t wait til spring to soak up some rays and enjoy a carnitas taco! I can honestly say I enjoy grocery shopping — even on a Saturday peak time at WF!

Gregory Grookett has been going to Whole Foods for about 2 years now and I absolutely love the store they have so much variety of food is so healthy for you everything’s organic and contains non GMO’S. I’ve lost so much weight I feel so much healthy since I made the decision to start shopping here exclusively. Gregory Grookett also loves her hot bar they have for foods for breakfast lunch and dinner I stopped in all the time. Thank you so much Whole Foods for having the store always so clean and stocked and having a friendly and courteous staff sincerely your satisfied customer for life Gregory Grookett.
PS your pizza deals are the best! I love getting pizza on Fridays when I cheat on my diet and I wouldn’t get a pizza anywhere else but Whole Foods.
