So disappointing! Worst customer service!!! Been to yolatea many times, my kids go there regularly too. Went in today with my Mother and Sister(mom was treating us). Gal behind the counter was nice. We each sampled a Gelato flavor and were ready to order. My sister ordered. The gal dished up her gelato and handed it to her. She then left us standing there(as I mentioned we were ready to order) to ring up frozen yogurt customers that came in after us. I was okay with that until she started making custom drinks for them and taking other drink orders(again from people who came in after us). When she continued helping others I said, hey we’re still here. Her response was unapologetic. She said yogurt customers have priority. As I mentioned I didn’t have a problem with her ringing up the yogurts but walking away while in the middle of helping us so she could take and make drink orders for others who came in after us is just BAD customer service. What’s worse is how rude and unapologetic she was.

The boba, was boba. Nothing too special but it hit the spot. The ice cream looked really good though! I got the lychee tea boba with half sugar and they guy that was working wasn’t too friendly and was more into his phone than helping me. But what can you expect from a high school kid haha. The pearls tasted fresh and they were delish. My tea was a little on the sweater side, but the flavor was really good. I would probably come back again if I was in the area and was craving boba. Next time, I definitely want to try the ice cream!

This place is going downhill. Management is not doing much here. Bunch of kids ruining things. I came here perhaps twice a month, they’ve been out of crushed almonds for yogurt for 5 weeks now. This is California, we export nuts we have so many of them. Anyways, machines seem minimally maintained, how often are they cleaned? The place is trying to sell 40 things on the menu, but when you do that, the details go to hell. Too bad, we needed a good place to hang out in Ptown. Possible to have a decent experience here depending what you are craving. I suggest the owner go to Yumi Yogurt in Santa Clara, they’ve been around for decades, no fancy weird toppings, 6 – 8 toppings that satisfy most customers. High turnover means yogurt condiments stay fresh. Update April 17, 2016 Still no nuts. Pathetic…

For boba tea, Yolatea really is as good as it gets! I usually get Rose milk tea with lychee popping boba and it is heaven. They have a solid variety of toppings for the frozen yogurt but i do wish they had a better selection of flavors.

I have always enjoyed Yolatea. But if their hours say they are closing at 10, plan on them locking up at 9:45. Personally, I hate when stores do this, and its happened many times to me here. I don’t plan on coming back, because it’s lame and a waste of my time.

It was a casual Friday night when I ventured to Yolatea with my squad and Hailey. Hailey was being a real Debbie Downer/Negative Nelly so we were just trying to get her some food! I never thought frozen yogurt, crepes, and tea would go so well together! The worker that helped us was named Nicole and I feel like I can call her one of my closest friends now. The only bad part about ¥olatea is that their crepes were kinda shitty but hey you can’t win em all! #notBradGapproved

When a business posts business hours, I think they should stick to them. Every Sunday a group of us meets in Pleasanton at 6pm for dinner then we go for fro-yo to end our night around 8:15/8:30pm. More often than not, this place is always already closed when we arrive. Each time we go and catch them open, we ask why they closed early the past weeks, and they always have«family emergency» excuses. Last week, they were mopping at 8:30pm and were annoyed we stopped by during their cleaning time during business hours. Tonight, we showed up at 8:25pm, and the girl already had her backpack on, closing the register and the closed sign was up. I tried to open the door to ask why they were closing early, she walked around the counter and locked the door and shut off the lights. We proceeded to stand outside and continue our conversation, we watched her get in her car and drive away and watched a handful of cars pull up and park then drive away after realizing the shop was closed. Change your hours to 8pm on Sunday’s if you don’t want to stay open or find staff who wants to stay until 9pm, your posted closing time. You’re losing business every Sunday you close early.

As a transplant from Berkeley, I had given up on finding decent boba so near my work. But this place is not half bad! I got the honey lemon green tea with 25% sugar and pearls. Pearls were consistent and fresh. My only complaint is that even at less than half sugar, the tea was still too sweet. But that’s getting nitpicky, and probably wouldn’t be a problem for most.

Have been to this place several times before but the last visit is just that, the last. No one behind counter when I walked in, had to wait for employee to finish with his cell phone and come out of the back to pay for yogurt. He was wearing a tank top and sweats and looked like he just rolled out of bed. I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be served food by someone with body hair showing. Yes, folks, underarms and chest hair… Wrote the company and never heard back.

Sometimes you go somewhere new and can’t decide what to order and end up getting something that’s good but not great and you wish you tried something different. This was NOT one of those times. Nutella-coconut-banana crêpe with cookie dough gelato is never anything but the right choice.

My friends and I were all very happy with what we got at Yolatea — not sure why there are so many unhappy reviews. We opted for the self-serve froyo with toppings, and I found the pricing to be extremely reasonable(45c per ounce); I was actually shocked by my total(below $ 2 — when does that happen?!). I got the cheesecake froyo with some chocolate chips, kiwi, and strawberries, and it hit the spot on a super-hot day. I would gladly come back! The cashier wasn’t the friendliest, but I don’t blame her. It looked like she was the only one there, so I’m sure that gets lonely/boring pretty quick. The toppings are also fairly limited, so maybe I should give 3 stars, but meh. I was happy.

We love coming here… the crepes are great. We had one little bumpy incident– but management responded promptly. Thank you! It’s always great place for«late night»(9:30pm) dessert. The self serve yogurt and fixin’s are always awesome. :)

The yogurt is reasonably priced and the selection is good, but Sage is the most unprofessional and immature employee I have ever experienced while out dining with my family. The management should look into hiring employees who actually treat their customers with respect.

Nice to find decent boba tea in downtown Pleasanton. Not«authentic», but still tasty and refreshing. Fair price. Friendly service. Fairly quick. Will likely return to try some of the other treats.

Probably the worst $ 4 I’ve ever spent. Walked in at lunch and the place was deserted, most of the lights weren’t even on. Only one girl working who took my order right away, but moved like molasses making the drink. I ordered a Thai Tea, and after five minutes was handed a purple drink. Uhh… what? After pointing out the color she realized her mistake and remade my drink(another five minutes). Finally I get my order and leave, take a sip, and jeezus I don’t even understand how it could be this bad… There was a thick layer of foam on the top that would not go away no matter how much I stirred, and a shit ton of black I don’t even know what floating in the drink that kept falling to the bottom and clumping together. Even with these factors, the drink tasted like straight water; no flavor at all. Took two sips and threw it away.

I have no doubt this was the worst tasting tea I have ever put in my body. I wish I could tell you more but I didn’t finish it let alone drink half before throwing it away. It felt like 90 outside and I still couldn’t hold it down. The staff is really nice and location is very clean but I can’t get over the tea. This location also has frozen yogurt but I did not try any.

My friend and I hang out here every Sunday to work on homework. It’s nice and quiet and we are always able to get a table. We usually get milk tea before hunkering down and studying, but sometimes we get crepes or frozen yogurt later. My favorite is the blueberry milk tea and the peach milk tea. ANDTHEYFINALLYHAVE A LARGEOPTIONFORTHETEAS!!! The honey lavender gelato is to die for! And the banana and nutella crêpe is so yummy. The service is great! The usual guy we have every sunday is really nice and polite and sometimes makes conversation with us toward closing time while he’s cleaning up. Really sweet :) All in all, this is my go to place for my milk tea and crêpe fix.

This is somewhat of a hidden location since its off on one of the streets that branch from Main St. The lovely and quaint décor is the first thing you notice when walk into this store. They charge by the ounce for their froyo and they have a large selection of toppings. I usually come here for their delicious and freshly made crepes though. They also offer boba. It’s a good place to duck and get away from the summer heat. ;)

Yolatea is the antidote to those urban FroYo chains with those bright fruit colors, round white fluff ball light fixtures, jeweled toned mini-tiled counter sides, swirled wall for the PYOFY machines, and large lettered health claim photos of fruit. This place is on a little side street just off the main drag(Main Street) of old town Downtown Pleasanton. It has understated décor in darker tones(nearly impossible to find with FroYo shops with mid-century candied colored décor updated into plastic patio furniture), and uses rare Freedom 360 FroYo machines, which have the feel of the high quality black Taylor machines with automatic temperature control, but actually pour even a thicker feed of FroYo than those, and certainly better flow and consistency than the cheaper Silver Taylor machines you find at most PYOFY(pour your own FroYo) places. They do charge by the ounce and have the typically sized tubs. They have a decent selection of toppings, perhaps 40 in all. And they have table and chairs enough to seat about 25 people. I had the Choco-Vanilla swirl with a blast of coffee flavor. Didn’t go for the tart fruit flavor this time. They have 5 machines, so they offer usually 10 flavors for your FroYo pleasure. Froyo Wanugee here, you know you love me(and FroYo Lolia!)
