This is an intimate family run operation (Shane & Tom) that provides a better way to buy cars. It isn’t your typical dealer setup where they have a lot and employees. Tom tells me the less overhead equals a better deal for the customer — and it has held true over the years. People should know you can’t contact them and expect to get exactly what you’re looking for next week… it takes time. The way I got the best deal was I provided acceptable makes and models along with my budget, and I let them do the rest of the work.
Over the years I’ve personally bought two cars from them, my significant other has purchased two, and other friends and family members countless more. We have always found them to be honest and forthcoming when dealing with them. In fact, I live out of state now and I still went to them for my second purchase and I still got a better deal.
I always cringe/​laugh when I hear people buying a brand new car or leasing a new car from a brand-​name dealer instead of from these guys. People think its too good to be true, but I’m laughing all the way to the bank!

We just bought a 2012 Acura MDX from Shane and the entire process was a breeze. We provided Shane with our list of wants and needs and he came back with a list of cars that fit our budget and our wish list. We love our new car! The car is in great condition and is exactly what we wanted.
Last time we bought our older MDX, it was a certified preowned vehicle and the process wasn’t nearly as easy. We had issues with a seat belt not working and they refused to fix it. So much for it being inspected as part of their certification process. This time the car was clean and everything worked and Shane was so much easier to work with than a large dealer.

I’ve bought two cars through Shane at T&T Auto and let’s just say, in short, he’s fantastic to work with. I’m not a fan of shopping around for used cars so having someone like Shane to find me exactly what I need (twice) has been such a relief and stress-​reducer. Both cars were affordable, had excellent mileage, and have been very reliable since purchase. Gives me great comfort and makes recommending Shane and T&T that much easier. Tom and Shane were recommended to us by a former client of theirs. We started our car search with T&T Auto and within a few weeks, had the exact car we wanted, and for a great price!
Tom was very helpful with explaining the process and advising us on the specs we were looking for. Once the car was in his possession, they quickly turned it around and we were able to pick it up. Tom and Shane made the paperwork quick and helped explain the main technology features in the car before we left.
Before working with T&T Auto, we went to the dealership and found the process, as most do, to be difficult and prices out of our range. Tom and Shane are fantastic to work with. They delivered the exact car that I wanted and were very efficient. The car came clean as a whistle and it was delivered to me at my work. Great guys, very honest. Now that I am a customer they take care of me for everything. In fact, they just tinted my windows and even dropped off a loaner car for me so it wouldn’t be a hassle.

T&T Auto Wholesale is a different way of buying a car. You call the owner Shane Sansen and tell him what kind of car you want. He will email you a list of cars being sold in an auction called Manheim. These cars are lease returns from dealers. Once you decide which car you want, he will bid on it for you without taking a deposit. He makes money by charging a commission. He told me he was supposed to make $ 500 dollars for what he calls an acquisition fee. My wife and I decided on a specific car, he emails me and tells me the car’s floor price is $ 23,750. The car won’t go below this price. He told me that I would need to bid at least $ 24k to win the auction. I said fine. He then bidded on the car on-​line because the car was being auctioned off in Riverside. About a half hour later he calls me and said he won the auction at $ 23, 900. So my final price was $ 24,400 (includes his acquisition fee). Great, I later paid him and picked up the car. I initially thought his service was excellent. A couple weeks later, I got access to the Manheim website and it showed that the car was sold for only $ 21,000.
I called him on it, and he refused to show me the invoice and wouldn’t admit that he paid any other price then $ 23,900. When I put the heat on him, he wanted to refund me $ 500 cash or return the car. I said no and took him to small claims court. Nonetheless, I didn’t win the judgment, but he admitted that he spent $ 21,000 plus $ 900 to «cherry» the car. I should have known when I first compared the email pictures that he sent to when I first saw the car, he had added factory floor mats. I knew he spent a few bucks detailing the car and the floor mats.
If you are thinking about buying a car with T&T Auto wholesale, make sure you write out a contract and have him show you the invoices for how much he paid. He got an extra $ 2,900 from me… oh well. I would have given him 5 stars if he was honest with all the figures. It took going to court to admit that he wasn’t truthful with the total price, but it was worth every penny to fight for it.
