I come here because of my awesome stylist Nancy B! She has been doing my hair for years and let me tell you what. She knows hair! The salon itself is in a cute building in downtown Pleasanton. Prices are decent, they offer many different services and they serve Kahlua to go with your coffee! Denise B is also another great stylist if you can get an appt with either one of them. Go get your hair did at Salon Saavy!

From coloring, highlights to haircuts, she does a great job. I have always had a hard time finding a good hair salon. Not anymore! This is the place!

I love Salon Saavy and honestly would not want to get my hair done anywhere else. I have a short pixie type haircut and Armida and Mario always make it look perfect.

Found Salon Saavy online after a terrible experience at JC Penney Salon, and have been very pleased. When I arrive and when I’m at Denise’s station, all the stylists are welcoming and friendly, which makes me feel appreciated. Love that they have lots of natural light coming in through the salon windows, so I can trust the color I see on my head will look the same when I leave the salon. The products they use smell wonderful and my stylist, Denise, really listens to what I want and offers great suggestions when I ask. I have very long hair and lots of it, but Denise never seems to get exhausted through the long process of coloring or drying it. Thank you!

Is there something about my look that just screams, «MUST HAVE BANGS WITH THIS FACE!!» I swear, this is the 3^rd stylist I’ve had who suggests that I try straight bangs.
Long story short, for $ 40+, I got inch-​long bangs that jutted out from my forehead in all directions, with the bonus of a couple raggedy pieces that I had to even out at home with some scissors. Fortunately, they were just long enough to where I could bobby-​pin them up out of my face for a couple months until they grew out. Sigh. So much for trying something new.

So I followed Renée over from where she use to cut hair. She is one of the most awesome stylists I have worked with. I’m someone who changes hairstyles frequently, and she always not only understands the cut, but my style. She cuts with confidence and really knows what she’s doing! I have a strange cowlick in the front of my head that can make bangs look a bit goofy. But she knows exactly how to cut it to work WITH the cowlick. Not a lot of stylists know how to do this! I love that she loves the styles she create with me as well. Always really excited about what we will do. See Renée! She’s awesome!!!

Renee, my long-​time hair stylist, moved here recently so I’m following her here! She always takes the time to do a good job on my hair. She doesn’t get distracted with chatting and gossiping like other stylists tend to do. She stays focused and does a quality job. I used to dread getting my hair cut because I could never find someone who could cut it the way I like it, but now I feel really comfortable and relaxed, because Renee always goes it right! I’ve been going to her for years and have introduced friends who are also now loyal customers!
She has done the cold smoothing treatment on my hair with great results. Next, I’m going to try the Brazilian Blowout.

I’ve had the best experiences at Salon Saavy! I decided from my very first visit that I had found my home salon. I’ve never had to wait for more than a few minutes and they work with my schedule, not the other way around. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and in my experience every staff member greets you with a genuine smile. Stephanie works magic with her colors! I think she really has an eye for pinpointing the best selection of highlights, lowlights, whatever you need, color to suit YOU. She really gives you that look you are trying to achieve, even if you’re like me and you don’t exactly know what you want. I really appreciated the time she took on my first visit to develop an understanding of my style, cut and shaping preferences, etc. and a lasting stylist/​customer relationship. I leave feeling great and looking even better. In a nutshell, Stephanie and the fabulous owners make this salon feel like so much more.

I thought Velma did a great job with my Groupon. She was very professional and I loved my hair afterward. Only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because she didn’t even offer me the glass of champagne that was part of the Groupon. I will definately go back to her when I’m ready for my next color/​cut.

Velma has been doing my hair for almost a year now and I don’t trust anyone else with my locks ;) From the very beginning I walked through the door to this salon I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and hospitality of the people! I felt like I was family by just walking in! Homemade cookies, little snacks, and the kitchy comments by the clients and stylist have me laughing all the time. I seriously love this salon and for everyone reading these reviews, Velma is the best. I say «Velma, make my hair like this» and she does it with ease and quickness. Definitely would gladly recommend this place to anyone that asks for a place to go.

This is the review for Velma from Saavy. She is renting the chair their. BAD experience. I purchased her certificate through Groupon.
Called her 3 times asking to call me back and set up the appointment but no replies. Really? Called Groupon to complain and ask for refund. Groupon issued refund no problem. Velma called and left a massage in the evening the same day.
I decided not to go there since poor customer cervice from first steps.

I wont go anywhere else. The salon is cute on the outside and very comfortable on the inside with a little bit of an italian feel. Velma has been doing my hair for a few years now and I have never been dissapointed. She’s great with mixing colors and current hairstyles. I usually bring a picture with me and she’s always able to give me exactly what I wanted. She’s also super sweet and talkative. I always feel very comfortable and love catching up with her everytime I go for a cut. Now that I think about i’m not sure that you can book Velma through the salon I think she may rent space there but either way it’s a great salon.
Recently my stylist, Velma, has moved to a new salon. I plan to follow her wherever she goes. It’s hard to find someone that can give you exactly the style you want every time. Velma always does!

I went for a haircut here after work today and was very satisfied. They seemed to be very busy, but were able to fit me in as a walk-​in.
My hairdresser, Judy, was very stylish, friendly and talkative… everything a good stylist should be! I told her what I wanted and she took it from there. It was getting close to the end of business hours, but I never felt rushed. I came in with a scraggly head of hair and feeling a bit stressed from a long day at work, but left with a GREAT fade and feeling much more relaxed.
Bring on the weekend!
Salon Look: 5 Stars. Salon Saavy looks kinda like a cottage smack dab in the middle of downtown Pleasanton. And, while it keeps a homelike feel to it (from the warm and welcoming people that work there), the inside of this «home» is very modern, with mirrors everywhere, big leather sofas, a flat screen in the waiting area and your typical station setup for the stylists.
Salon Feel: 5 Stars. Like I said above, everyone here was sooo nice. They made it a point to welcome me in and Judy was so friendly… I felt like I had known her for years. I’ve been to places where the stylists talk amongst themselves and I’m left feeling outta the loop. That wasn’t the case here at all… in fact, they were introducing me to other clients and including us all in conversations.
Haircut: 5 Stars. What a great haircut! I got exactly what I wanted… and I honestly don’t think I’ve had a better fade in my life. I am very picky about my haircuts, but I can’t complain about a thing this time around. My hair spikes up after a haircut, if it’s cut too short, and sometimes I see random hairs that have been missed after I’ve showered. Though, Judy was very thorough and took care in making sure everything about my cut was perfect. This was even more impressive, given that I came in just before closing time!
Location: 5 Stars. Right in downtown Pleasanton and plenty of parking behind the salon… can’t beat it.

Salon Saavy is just that… it’s a family owned/​operated business and everyone is very friendly. They take their time with their clients to make sure they are satisfied with their hair. I love the ambience of the shop. Love the colors they have… it’s very stylish — they offer coffee and have a cozy sitting area. I had my hair done for a wedding there and loved it and I’ve been there with my sister when she went there for some «repair» work for a bad color job that she got somewhere else. They do a really nice job on color, I’ve seen a lot of thier work. The location is very convienient, right near downtown Pleasanton, plenty of parking in the back. I would recommend Saloon Saavy to anyone!
