Pacific Office Automation – Bay Area

My Company Strategism Inc. has been doing business with this company for 4yrs. Overall my experience with Pacific Office Automation is positive. Justin Dorsey was very helpful and really prompt. He visited my office twice in a day just to check that everything was fully functional and working. It feels so good to see that somebody is so dedicated to his job. 5 star to them.

I am in an exact same situation with below posting «BEWARE: POA was AWFUL.»
We were around 2 years and some months into the lease and didn’t need the Konica Minolta printer that we leased. We have been trying to contact the sales representative to find out how to end the lease, but that sales person never responded. We then tried calling their office, but the office person always made an excuse saying that they do not have any information and only their sales person has the lease information. This went on for months and salesman finally called. Later we found out that he only reached us after that 60 or 90 days written notice period ended. We were forced into another year of lease extension, and no one is responding to my request from POA and we just got a letter from the bank somewhere in east coast that we are into another year of lease extension. I have never printed a single page for many months and bill is over $ 600 per month now and it keeps going up!!! I am now forced to hire a lawyer to resolve this issue.
Don’t waste your time and money in a company like Pacific Office Automation!!!
Pacific Office Automation does not even deserve one star! They should receive «NEGATIVE» Star for their service and scam!!!

This company is HORRENDOUS. We had them as our copier service for about 2 years and every time someone came out they could not fix our issues. They would take days and multiple trips racking up the bill over things are simple as setting up scan to folders or printing capabilities.
When trying to work with management about the poor service we were treated unprofessionally so we switched companies. Never calling them again.

¾/​2011 Previous review Find another company to lease your copy or fax equipment from. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. If you want your copier or fax to be down for two or three days then these are your guys. Don’t believe their salesman Paul when he tells you they have the best customer service in the area. BEWARE: POA was AWFUL.
My client was using them for managed print service with a Konica Minolta multi function copier, as well as a KIP wide format plotter, and we hated every minute of it. The whole thing turned into a litigious contract battle which at this point I believe is finally completely resolved. I’ll share the short version with you just because it’s such an outrageous story:
POA provided awful service. The KIP plotter was constantly broken and POA was horribly unresponsive and inept at fixing it. Here’s where it gets interesting: POA auto-​renews their annual contracts unless you notify them 60 days before the end of the contract that you wish to cancel. Upon cancelation, it’s the customer’s responsibility to pay hundreds of dollars to ship a big heavy 10-​year-​old worthless device anywhere in the US. This is written in the POA contract, and it’s stupid, but it’s not our actual complaint.
My client *did* notify POA of our desire to end the contract, months before it was set to expire (via multiple emails and voicemails, all of which went unanswered.) Two weeks before the end of the contract we were calling and emailing POA daily and finally started getting responses. Get this: they told us that some bank in New Jersey owns the plotter, and we needed to have notified that bank about our intention to end the contract and not POA, so we were stuck with it for another 12 months. This is obviously ridiculous, and forced my client to have to hire a lawyer to deal with POA. What a mess. Good riddance to bad business.

I put a review for them but it says the other location is close. They had very bad reviews. The current three reviews are all new and good. I think they tried to fool Unilocal by «closing» their other office. We are in SF.
We get horrible service. I can’t believe they are still in business. We got a Xerox through a different local company, but Xerox has their own support which is amazing. Cannon doesn’t provide their own support, so POA provides «support» and it’s bad bad bad. I’ve had friendly people here and there and a little help, but most folks there are not friendly or helpful. And the bottom line is that I need help with our Cannon copier and I don’t get it.

POA is a great company to work with. They take great care to understand all aspects of your requirements before recommending the right machine for you. We have two small medical offices in the Bay Area with different requirements, and they did an amazing job of finding the right machine for the right office. And when one requirement was slightly off, they did not hesitate to fix the problem — hasslefree. I would highly recommend POA for your office needs
I would like to share a recent very positive support experience with Arham Suhail, a support technician at POA. Arham was the one who did my install, and he knows fax machines in and out. I was most impressed by how quickly he was able to fix my printing problem last week. In a matter of minutes, he had me up and running! POA is really lucky to have such smart support people like Arham on their staff.

My company has been using them five years now. This review is based on the office I manage & our service experience. (sales & contracts are handled by our main office)
Breakdown of 4 stars:
1.) Technicians are all friendly & knowledgeable when they service our machines. (1.5 stars)
2.) Katelyn who we email for toner/​supply orders with is very pleasant and friendly. (1 star)
3.) Their delivery guy is always pleasant & professional. Yesterday there was a mix up between our IT Dept & their sales dept & we could not accept the new machine until the end of the month. Their delivery guy works alone, never complains & did not look disappointed when he had to reload a machine he just unloaded from his truck. He’s the reason I felt compelled to write this review! (1.5 stars)

Fabulous service! I was able to trade in my old copier and get a new one for the same cost and a better copier! Michael was very helpful and fast to respond to our needs. I would highly recommend this company and their prodructs.
