I have been with Dr. Lo for over 15 years. I made a physical appoint over a month a go and still have to wait over an hour when I am here. This is unacceptable. Time for me to switch Doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lo for about 8 years now, and she is wonderful! She always takes the time to listen to me, to understand what is going on, and to really care. While sometimes you wait a bit in her office, I think that’s because she spends the time needed not necessarily what was scheduled with each client — this is an important factor for me in selecting a Doctor. I want someone who cares, listens and helps.

Love Dr Lo and her knowledge and bedside manner. I really wish I could give a 5 star, but the co payment is process is antiquated, every now and then the IPad is available to run credit cards, if not, they wrote the cc down on my intake form. I always have to wait at least 45 minutes to be seen. I work in the city so I leave early to be on time to only wait 45 minutes. Dr Lo is great about giving you the time you need, however.

Long wait times even for a scheduled appointment. Expect to wait about 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor. Great doctor but they over book and it doesn’t make for a good experience.

I like Dr. Lo, but I do not like the way the office is run. Staff have been rude on the phone and unhelpful. I’ve been told I missed an appointment that I never made — maybe they scheduled it because I was due for a physical — but I didn’t make the appointment and wasn’t aware of it. Dr was always pleasant, but seems rushed all the time. Payment must be in cash which can be inconvenient. But the worst part is being treated rudely by staff. Sorry. I’m changing doctors.

I am not a patient of Dr. Lo, but I did my internship in her office. I read all the negative and positive comments before I started working as an intern so I would know what I’m basically gonna expect. and now, I’m here to share my experience as part of their clinic.
The staff are very friendly, They always make sure that they always make accurate appointment, authorization and referrals for the patients. Annie, Nancy and Pearly are doing great working in front and back office, as a reward of their kindness and being friendly, most of the patients and med reps always bring them some goodies. They always take turns going to lunch so they can assist the patients on time and answer calls continously. They can multitask and willing to spend time to help and assist a patient.
Dr. Lo is an excellent doctor, yes, there are times. that you’re gonna wait for 15mins to 45mins to see her, its because she always make sure that she answers all the questions of her patients about their concerns before she jumps to another patient. She make sure that theyre satisfied of her service as their primary care doctor. Its worth the wait. All of her patients likes her and has been with her for soooooo many years.
Everytime I talk to a patient they will say, «I WOULD RATHER WAIT TO GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR» and thats true.
All of the patient and med reps who come to their office are very friendly and approachable too.
I love my experience here and I learned alot from Dr. Lo, the staff and the patients as well. Thank.You.

Dr Lo is an ok dr but her front office staff-​every one of them-​wrote the book on incompetence. In the last two years I’ve seen dr twice yet I’ve had three terrible encounters with this staff.
First: I requested a letter to my employer stating that I could not have a tb shot due to pregnancy. Dr lo had confirmed the pregnancy and noted that I had no signs of tb. It took two weeks and five phone calls to her office explaining what I needed.
Second: I get a random call six months later with a vague message from Annie on her staff «um dr lo said you needed something and I am calling to check» huh?!? You don’t know why you are calling? I didn’t call back thinking she had the wrong number. She called back a few days later being equally vague. I ended the convo by stating I didn’t need anything and hadn’t been to dr in awhile.
And the finale: dr referred me to an allergist. Annie gave me her name and said I didn’t need a referral. I said I had never heard of that and clarified that she did not need to fax a referral, she responded that she didn’t in order for me to make an appt. waiting on hold for the allergist for 10 minutes I am given the appointment number (which Annie did not give me the first time), I wait another five to be told «before booking did you dr send a referral.» Ugh no! I call Annie. «I e never heard of them needing a referral.» Um really??? Every specialist I’ve encountered needs a referral and I know you aren’t new! I told her I’d find a new doctor with competent staff.

Dr Lo is the best doctor I have ever had. Waiting can occur but this is because she is quality and trys to accomodate you when you don’t have an appointment and are ill. Anyone who expects to walk right in when you are going to a good doctor is dreaming. Dr Lo also trains MA’s in her office. She is paying back to the field she works in. I just love her and can’t say enough good things about her

I have been a patient of Dr Lo for 16 plus years. And that ends today. Aside from incompetant staff that most times do notvreturn my calls (and I only call 1 – 2 times a year, max), waitng an hourvplus for an appt is unacceptable.
What finally broke the camels back was, I called yesterday morning and when I told them I was having difficulty breathing, having asthma and a bad cough and needed to be seen, I was told that Dr Lo is on sabatical for a month so I could not be seen. i replied by asking if she has a bavk– up doctor during ths month vacation. The staff member said a Dr Lay was in 2 days avweek, but was booked for the entire month. I tod her that will not work for me as I am pregnant, due any dy now, and I need to see a doctor, at keast gt my inhaler refilled since it expired in November. She told me they won’t refill it without being seen since it has been over a year since filled, sighed said hold on then came bavk and said they couldvget e in tomorrow at 11:45, but it would be a long wait, i said, fine, I will be there. The next day, as I was showering for my appt, the office staff left a message saying not to come — they had to cancel my appointment and could not reschedule until after Dr Lo returns.
Are you kidding me? Are they insane or just stupid?! I still have no idea when Dr Lo is even returning. A month, a month from when. I will be seeing a new favility tomorrw with several doctors on staff, and requesting Dr Lo’s office send my medical file on.
My hubby has also seen her twice in three years and both times waited well over an hour to be seen. His appointments were bith scheduled well in advance and were both simply physicals. The second time he went to leave, as he needed to be on a conference call. Staff told him he would be billed because they require advance cancellation notice and it would only be 5 more mins. He waited.
Now I know why she now offers internet in her witing room, because you wait, and wait and wait.
Do yourself a favor and do not go to Dr Lo. Subpar medical staff, doctor and office. And she also only accepts cash or check… We use an FSA card.

My review rating for Dr. Lo is based on her skills as a healer. I don’t think of my relationship with my doctor as, something like the one I have with, let’s say, my BMW service guy, or the hostess at my favorite restaurant. Yea, so maybe the office staff could be more efficient… and one would think why hasn’t Dr. Lo taken more thought and action into improving the scheduling and and «paperclip» efficiencies of the office staff. Well, that’s because she’s, very much, pre-​occupied with, uh… important, actual, issues more relevant to the health of her patients.
Anyway, while she is examining a patient, it’s not that she’s «rushing»… she’s being efficient. I, for one, like and understand her bedside manner.
I’ve been going to Dr. Lo for over 10 years. Even though, I’ve moved to SF from the Pleasanton area, I make my way out to see her every 3 months for a checkup, and I have had little to no medical issues, and maybe get a cold, once every two-​three years. Oh, and I actually do what she tells me: eat a lot of fruit and veggies, exercise, and laugh a lot… I think it’s working for me.

I started seeing Dr. Lo when I needed a PCP in my HMO. After I switched to a PPO I kept going back to her for my needs. I’ve seen Dr. Lo now for longer than I have any other doctor. I’ve realized the benefits of my doctor actually knowing me. Getting that rare, but needed prescription is a breeze because I rarely need any medication and I’m in excellent health. I see her for an annual physical and she is very thorough. If I want to do a mid-​year blood check I just call in and she mails me a referral to the lab. All in all I’ve been very pleased with her.
All doctors I’ve been to within the past 5 years are under enormous pressure. This is an indication of our broken health care industry. I think Dr. Lo does a good job and I feel like she truly cares about my health. I would recommend her to anyone.

I totally agree with Samantha. The wait to see Dr. Lo was too long. I was her patient for 5 years, but I never got to see her within one hour of my appointment time. I went there last week and waited for an hour and half !! When I finally saw her, it took only 1 minute. She just gave me a referral. I am changing the doctor …

I saw Dr Lo for years (I am no longer seeing her because my insurance changed). I did have some issues with seeing her. The double booking was an issue. I spent a lot of time waiting to see her when I had an appointment on the books for months, Also I always felt very rushed when I was there.
The worst though is dealing with her office manager. I never got a phone call back when I was told I would. Paperwork that was supposed to be sent to me was always wrong, It was a constant struggle to get what I needed when I needed it.
I also had issues with referrals she gave. Other than one referral that actually worked out, all others were not so great.
On the plus side she did help me when I was really ill and gave me some heath pointers for when I had some injuries.
