I have been to the store. I found lot of collections, which impressed me a lot. I would like to go to the store and taste all the variety of things in this store. They are very friendly and the response is very good from them. I never found anything out of stock in this store. I suggest every one to visit the store and you will not be disappointed.

The liquor store is horrible. Very unfriendly workers seems like a shoot from the walking dead. 1st liquor store I have walked into with a horrible candy and snacks section. They have pretty much have none. They carry about 5 bags of chips and a few candy bars and gum, guess they think liquor stores should only carrier liquor in them lol. The store is filled with over priced beers on every shelf !

I’ve been to this place few days back as my friend said that these guys have the great beer collection. When I went there I was amazed to see their craft beer collection. It is a perfect place especially for a beer lover like me.
They have the lowest prices on all the beers and especially their bourbons are the best (price vise and collection vise). My favorite beer Pliny the elder is also available in the store this is my favorite spot from the day 1 I’ve been there. Their wine collection is out of the world. Go and visit the store and have a fabulous experience of their craft beers and whiskey.

Kavanaugh is now JC Liquor & Wine. probably the same vast inventory as before. don’t remember coming here.
large selection of wines, hard liquors, and craft beers. popular crafts (stone, widmer, speakeasy, racer 5) reasonably priced. drake, heretic, lesser known crafts pricey.
brew: widmer brothers, «upheavel ipa» (2.99)
–7% alc. not much character, hoppiness
–nice buzz for cheap.

These guys are just plain bastards that don’t understand customer service. I just bought a kegorator and thought I would support a local business vs. Bevmo. Big mistake. Walked in and asked a simple question, do you guys order 5 gallon kegs? Guy working there yelled back, no man, we don’t do kegs! I said, you don’t need to be an As$%&@!. I just bought a kegorator and thought I would ask. He began to yell at me and I won’t take that. Big mistake as I was willing to spend $ 400-​$ 500 every couple months on high end craft beer. Not sure if the young punk is an owner, but he definitely didn’t see the big picture and was rude and probably a lonely man. Don’t shop there, Pleasanton is no place for jerks. Let’s put this guy out of business.

Stopped here twice recently because it was conveniently on my way to watch the World Series at a friend’s house. I was surprised by the large selection of beer, wine and booze, and the prices were good. But, the staff working on the days I stopped were downright snarly and acted like I was wasting their time. One even got angry because I wanted to pay with a credit card, like that is an unusual way of doing business or caused him to do a lot more work. I don’t expect you to give me crap because you’re angry about working at a dead end job or whatever the reason is for your attitude. I’m helping pay your salary. At least you could handle the transaction without griping at me and say thank you.

The gals workin there are super nice. however their selection sucks. Most liquor stores are crammed wall to wall with booze. Kav’s is so overstocked with the typical whiskeys and vodkas, they should order a bottle or two of something to give it some variety. Their wines are also ranging, but limited in selection. Either more than $ 22 or less than $ 8. Genes next door has a HUUUGE selection of beer compared to Kavs, but at a larger price (if comparing coors for instance). I’ll continue going there, i just know what they do and dont have. Its also not just this place. The Liquor store next to Luckys on Hoptard blows major goats!

Great liquor store with a great selection of wines. Knowlegeable staff when it comes to wine, good bear selection also and they will special order just about anything you want including my favorite Lagunitas Cappacino Stout beer. John, the owner, is one of the nicest guys you could meet.
