Wink Brow Bar

Disha fit me into her AM schedule today after calling late yesterday afternoon. She did a great job on my eyebrows, was friendly and speedy! Studio was clean and welcoming. Would definitely go back!

Thanks to Unilocal reviews I went to this place. The lady is talented. I love what she did to my eyebrows.
(As a point of reference this place is 10 minutes away from Oracle headquarters buildings, next to Walgreens.)

She did an amazing job! I am very surprised how much I like my eyebrows. I am extremely picky and this was my first time coming here. The pain was less than what I normally feel too! I highly recommend coming here and I will be returning!

Went here for the first time and plan to go back. Dishna is lovely — she is thorough and fast. Her studio is clean. I go back and forth between waxing and threading, but this is my new go-​to threading place. I have been alternating between the two for the past 6 years. Threading is effective for deterring hair growth and what I particularly like about it is that there are no tweezers involved to clean up any stragglers, which is inevitable with waxing. The best part is that I do not turn as red with threading. One thing i dislike about threading is that it is not always very private — this place included. There are glass windows and doors on either side of the room. I realize this is helpful for letting in natural light, but it does make me self-​conscious.

I came here because of the good reviews but didn’t even notice that this was a THREADING brow bar. I had never had my eyebrows threaded before but now i’m hooked. Disha is very precise and corrected my crooked eyebrows without making them look over-​plucked. She is also super nice and very down-​to-​earth. I will definitely be back.

Based on the reviews on Unilocal and the proximity to my work, I thought I’d give Wink a try. I called in advance just to make sure she takes walk ins and she does. She listened to my brow concerns (not too thin!!) and proceeded with her work. She was quick and efficient and I was very pleased with how they turned out. They fit my face and she definitely listened to my desire to not have too thin eyebrows. What more could you ask for? This will be my new brow grooming place!

She’s a decent person but it was too painful! She does not have a gentle touch at all. I usually do not wince during threading but she brought tears to my eyes. When i told her it was painful, she said, «that’s because you have long hair… it will hurt, won’t it?»…i was shocked. I’ve been to many places with the same amount of hair and have never come out feeling like I’ve been a war victim! The job she did wasn’t bad… but not spectacular either. The Peninsula doesn’t offer the quantity or quality of threading services the way the South Bay might but I would pick RB threading studio in Burlingame over this one any day. Much less pain and the same cost.

My sister was the first person to work on my eyebrows when I was 12 years old. She wanted to do them and I said… «Okay.» When she was done, I loved them! But after she started getting bored of playing beauty pro with me, I had to start doing them myself. I’ve been doing my own eyebrows since! UNTIL I stumbled upon Disha’s Wink Brow Bar.
I thought I’d give her a try since she was right next to the hair salon I was at (JenniStylez! Woot! Woot!). I realized I really don’t like tweezing my eyebrows because it just takes time and I really don’t have the same patience as I did when I was younger. So… I gave her a shot and I loved it! I never wanted to get my eyebrows waxed because I did NOT trust anyone to listen to my requests and I was afraid of getting burned. I did not mind threading because I knew there was no hot wax involved. Although I know some people who do not want to try threading because they think it is unsanitary… It actually is. No wax and double dipping. Also, she does not use the thread that is in her mouth on your skin. Duhh!
Disha listens to my request about not going too thin or changing my natural brow shape… because I really do love my own eyebrow shape… I’m just tired of maintaining them myself. Disha is very accurate and precise! My eyebrows have never looked so NEAT! When she does them, I get that SUPER clean shape that I love.
I do get those super tiny hairs that the thread can’t pick up but you can barely see them. I just use my tweezers if it really bothers me.
I pay $ 20 for upper lip and eyebrows. I wish it was less money but since I’ve come back about 4 times already. It seems like I don’t mind spending the $ 20 to save myself 15 – 30 mins doing them myself. Plus, I get a super clean shape!
Disha is the only person (other than my sister) that has worked on my brows and I think this won’t change unless I find another person I can trust and can beat her price!

My first time here… I walked in with eyebrows in dire need of shaping… she did a great job and was quick to boot! It’s a pretty cool setup they have here with several salon service providers all with their own tiny spaces within a larger space (Sola Salons). Her charges were a little pricey compared to my local place here in Foster City, but for the convenience (didn’t have to wait) and her skills, I’ll gladly pay the difference!

I think I’ve found my eyebrow lady! The place is a bit hard to find as it is in Sola Salons. Just go inside, turn to your right and she’s the second door down.
Yay! I’m very impressed with my eyebrows as she listened to everything I said. They didn’t come out pencil thin, and she managed to get an arch out of my thick bushy eyebrows. She’s so nice and the place is so clean… def coming back :)

I had never done threading before deciding to try out Disha. She is very friendly, did a great job, took her time to make sure everything was even and balanced and looked great. She went back over areas after she’d done her first pass to clean up and trim, which I appreciate. As for pain, I guess that is up to the user to say what their level is. I found it a little uncomfortable (mostly because I have a lot of eyebrows and I always wait too long to come back) but honestly that is part of the fun :) And it is very easy on the skin afterwards. For what it’s worth, Disha makes sure that you are comfortable as possible.
To get there you have to go inside the Sola Salon building, you turn right and it’s one of the doors on the right side. She has a cozy little room. The visits don’t take too long so you can get your threading done and get on with the rest of your errands.
Average cost for my visits is not too bad, I think it’s 20 bucks for eyebrows and upper lip. I don’t go super often so it doesn’t impact my wallet as much as if you go every week.
I’d recommend a visit to her site too, I think there is a deal for first-​time visits.

Love this cute little shop. She did a great job shaping my unruly brows. Friendly service, excellent job, clean, easy parking. This is my new place for brows.

Disha is hands down one of the most wonderful and gifted stylists when it comes to eye-​brows. I have followed her since a while and will continue for a long time.
Affordable pricing and quick service. She is also very accomodating to availability and also takes walk-​ins which is nice, but appointments are nicer as you know you wont need to wait :-)

This lady was really fast, friendly and good at what she does. I only do threading now for my beauty routine, it is so much better on your face than waxing is. It honestly lasts so much longer than waxing as well, no weird bumps or burns. This is my first time coming down the peninsula for it but it was just as good as in the big shops. The set up in this place is like a bunch of individual chair/​room rentals for hair and facials, but it really nice and quiet.

Great for a quick upper lip thread job. Disha is awesome. Very thorough. $ 10 is painful for me to shell out for something that takes 5 minutes — but it is the going rate in the Bay Area, so I can’t complain.

Disha is great! My regular eyebrow threader was unavailable and I saw all the amazing reviews for Wink and decided to give it a try. I was so pleased with how she shaped my eyebrows and loved her friendly attitude so much that I’m going to switch to her. Her studio was super easy to find within Sola Salon and she keeps it really clean and neat. She also takes credit cards which is a huge plus.
I am definitely going to be a regular customer of hers and really hope more people give her a try… she’s so nice and does an amazing job!

The first time I called, Wink Brow Bar was closed during their normal business hours — but Disha offered to come in after 6pm if I was available (I wasn’t). But that was a nice touch of customer service.
Was in need of some brow shaping today and decided to give Wink another try. Disha is both swift and very thorough. I’m pleased with the shape (cleaned up, a nice arch, but not too thin). Will definitely come back.

I had never had any threading done so I was eager to see the process. I was greeted by Disha, the bar owner and she took very good care of me. My brows have never looked better! It was a bit painful on my lips, but it didn’t last long and my mouth looks great! Disha is an artist and a very caring person.
I’ll definitely go back again and the location is 3 minutes from my house.

I am so excited that this fabulous threading studio just opened up right near where I work! I can’t stand waxing and tweezing makes me cry, so I thought I’d try it. I was so pleased with the results. It was really fast, very affordable, and Disha is truly an artist. I was really concerned about making sure she didn’t go too thin, but she gave me a really nice, natural shape, and she was charming and fun throughout the process. I’ll definitely be going back time and time again.

I give this threading salon 4-​Stars only because I have never rolled to the 5-​Stars on any review site so far :) I hope this place will keep up the good standards it has started with. Upon finding a new salon open up close to home this month, I decided to give it a try and was pleased with the experience.
I learned to thread/​pluck my own eyebrows at home (and do a fairly good job) because many salons had given me a hard time. I hate trying to grow back my brows with castor oil after somebody has spoiled the shape! I’m also fussy about detail and tend to be more critical of another person’s work! The lady who runs this place, however, made me feel quite comfortable with her warm yet professional approach. She does her job with precision, and makes it swift and painless. I was happy with the fact that she was able to quickly recognize and even out the fine shape flaws (that had resulted from changing stylists and home threading).
This place certainly deserves a try and I’m sure it will quickly gather many positive reviews and a strong clientele. I went back a second time already.
