History

Established in 2004.

Pleasant View Smiles was established in 2004 shortly after Dr Thomas Hadley graduated from dental school. A humble two treatment room office was the initial home for this practice which employeed only three other team members. In 2006, the office was relocated next door in a new state of the art facility which has actually been featured on a Nashville tour of dental offices. Both the design and equipment make this facility stand above all other dental offices in the area. Today, Dr Hadley is joined by associate dentist Dr Misha Garey, four hygenists, four assistants, and three administrative personnel.

Business Owner

Dr Hadley is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and attended dental school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He is married to Cheatham County native Stacia Newton they have one son together.

In his spare time, Dr Hadley enjoys gardening and teaching gardening classes, video games, disc golf, cooking, and hanging out with friends.

My tooth ached and I wanted to know why. They got me in quickly.
All my kids go here.
So I thought I would try it.
So I went in to get my tooth checked. And mind you they state that they will access the situation and inform you of the most cost effective treatment.
Now the problem I had was one that I really needed to floss better. It just so happened that some food was caught under a «bad» filling.
Their cost effective treatment was — to replace the filling with a Crown at the cost of over $ 500.
I am not a dentist but I think the most cost effective treatment would have been to take the filling down where it was impeding into my gum.
Mind you this is the first time in about 15 yrs or so that this tooth has ever bothered me. The «fix» was to destroy the tooth and put a crown on it.
That is not the most cost effective solution. If the tooth hurt all the time or once a month or once a year even. I could see crowning it.
–So I find the cost effective solution to be what they deem is cost effective. To the layperson not thinking about it… who knows what they would have done.
–On another note.
My kids all have cavities every time they go in. I don’t believe it. My teeth aren’t the best but I never had a cavity every time I went to the dentist. They brush every day.
Staff was excellent and they should be for the premium costs required to be their patients
Then to set up an appointment for what I would call a general cleaning… you need to set up two time slots. One for the Dental Hygienist and one for the Dentist.
What a waste of my time.
Very nice place to go. Nice equipment state-​of-​the-​art and beyond. If you like to have that this is the place to go.

Went in for an exam and a cleaning. Was told I needed a filling as well. When they scheduled the cleaning and filling, they called to remind me, and gave me a different time. When I showed up at the time they told me to, I found out that they were confused, so they did not have time to clean all my teeth before the filling — which was a good thing since they ended up charging me $ 100 a tooth to clean them. Seems like they had decided to do a periodontal cleaning and not tell me how much it was going to cost. After the filling, they tried to charge me $ 586 for the exam, x-​rays, cleaning 3 teeth and a filling. I told her I never agreed to have my teeth cleaned at a cost of $ 100 a tooth. The office manager said she would look into it and send me a bill. That was in October. They finally sent me a bill in February for the very same amount, and showed it as PAST DUE when it was the first time I had received a bill from them. When I went to the office and asked for an itemized bill since I don’t pay from a statement, they discovered that they had charged me twice for the x-​rays, and somehow the bill came down to a little over $ 350. I paid it in full because I didn’t want to have to ever go back.

Our family has been going to Pleasant View Smiles for a little over a year now. We have been very happy with the service. I was instantly impressed on my first when the staff took the time to show me around the office and to meet everyone and show me all the equipment at their disposal. Dr. Hadley is friendly and professional. Pretty much as good as it gets.
