We recently bought a house built by Pennington, and have had several problems. We wondered why a 5-​year old house was already on the market for such a reasonable price, and now we know. There are nail pops all over the place and the corner beading is also separating on many of the walls. The bonus room is always frigid, while the rest of the upstairs is like a sauna because the heat from the great room overheats the upstairs bedrooms. This causes the upstairs heat to never click on and that is what heat the bonus room as well. Not well designed or thought out at all. The site preparation and grading were also not done properly causing standing water in the crawl space.
