I’ve actually only gotten the Banana Cream Pie here on a recommendation. It’s amazing. Highly recommended. Everything else looks like run-of-the-mill greasy diner food which has it’s place at times as well.

The only saving grace is its hours. Slow, slow service, like in a short line for 10 minutes and waiting on food for 30 – 40. Just go to the 24 hour Safeway in Walnut Creek. Food is as expected.

One of my top 5 burger joints I cannot live without! I’ve been a Nation’s fan for years and they’ve never disappointed me. Burgers are juicy and loaded with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. You have to have fries with you burger(preferably the chili cheese fries — don’t share get your own). And if you have the room, a slice of one of their amazingly yummy pies(chocolate cream). Come for their generous breakfast, burger, pie or grilled cheese. Mmmmmm you won’t be disappointed.

Of all of the semi-fast-food burger joints, this is next to top of the heap for me. They burgers are consistently great. Nice salty taste, juicy and nice size patty too. Nice produce and it is such a messy burger!!! I love the raw onions too. The restaurant itself isn’t the pinnacle of atmosphere, but it’s all about the burger! This comes in at #2 in my burger-hierarchy. 1) Fuddruckers 2) Nations 3) Fatburgers(where did they go!!!) 4) The Habit 5) In & Out 6) Five Guys This is saying a lot!!! Keep it up guys! Thanks.

No gonna lie, the best time to come here is late night to people watch the people coming out of Farringtons Bar! The chili cheese fries with a burger, along with their side sauces of BBQ sauce, honey mustard and ketchup hit the spot just right here. It is a big burger by the way, about double the size of one at in and out. The chili cheese fries has chili and smacked on top is 2 peices of american cheese. After you are done with your meal, walk up to the glass window and get a slice banana crème or chocolate crème pie, actually, get a whole pie its that good…

This review is based on customer service ONLY — the food is AMAZING I stopped by yesterday evening and got breakfast BUT before I ordered there were two others in line ordering. After I ordered I waited, a friend of mine stopped by and ordered as well so she sat with me. The two gentlemen that ordered ahead of me got their meals in a bag. When my order was called the women who handed me my food(it was to go) just placed my meal in its box on the counter and then put the syrup on top … I asked her for a bag and she just looked at me then walked away and got a small bag and put two syrups in it and said .10 cents for bag, then I asked her if I could have a bigger bag to put my food in and she said «Did you pay .10 cents?» I told her no and that I wouldn’t mind paying for it. So I handed another girl .25 cents and when my friend’s order was ready the women who kept telling me that I needed to pay .10 cents didn’t even ask my friend about her having to pay the small fee, I asked my friend if she paid it and she said«No that she didn’t even know there was a fee for a bag» So, Management please train your cashiers to mention the .10 cent fee to customers instead of having your cooks/cashiers nag customers about it and then not charge the next person.

Great employees make all the difference. Stopped by here on my way to cheer my family up after we experienced a pregnancy miscarriage. It’s important to express grief & I found sharing our situation. The young lady blessed me with food for my entire family paid for it herself and then sealed the deal with a cherry topped cheesecake. It’s a very comfortable newly modeled store in a great family safe location. Hope this helped! God Bless you!

Normally I don’t write reviews, but after tonight’s experience, I had to post something. Ordered a BLT with mayonaise, but got two pieces of bread with a slice of bacon between them. AND, that was after she took it back to scrape off the Miracle Whip to put on mayonaise because it was not made the way I had asked in the first place. I can forgive little oops, but how do you forget 2⁄3 of a sandwich. Even after you pull it back to fix an error.

Love me sum cheeseburgers! Nations has always hit the spot with a huge juicy burger with the perfect amount of melted cheese, fresh, red tomatoes and crispy lettuce and onions. After I scrape the yummy cheesy remnants off the wrapper with a golden French frie, I dive in for that first juicy bite! It’s even better late night after the bars close down and you’re just not ready to call it a night. Get your slice of banana cream pie to go… trust me, you’ll be glad you did in the morning!

Amazingly bad service for a Nation’s joint. I started out third in line, but waited 20 min. Cashier left front unattended for a good part of the time. Talking in phone was sometimes for taking phone orders giving them priority over walkin’s. Other times it was personal. Most nation’s stores are attentive and friendly. When I brought up my concern, the employee said he had just arrived, so not responsible.

My brother took me here for a late-night run. He ordered a burger and fries. I got a Java Milkshake. Mmmm. The shake was great. We also both got pies. These pies are great. I’ll need to remember this for late-night munchie runs.

They know what they are doing here at Nation’s, I miss the one that was very close to where I live. Going here in the evenings after Bible Study accross was a routine many of us got into. That night I had what must have been one of those heart attack producing cheeseburgers, but it sure tasted good. Lot’s of good grub here.!!

Nations’s Giant Hamburgers… Best Since 1952… according to their website. The arch nemesis, is the much larger and famous burger chain In-N-Out… Burger Joint In-N-Out Nation’s Price $ 3.90 $ 6.60 Freshly Made YESYES Ginormous NOYES Bacon NOYES Calories 670916 Doppelgänger Boy King Joffrey Magic Mike Doppelgänger Butt Taylor Swift’s Kim Kardashian’s So there’s my analysis… I’m not sure if its the«Best», but Nation’s Bacon Cheeseburger is one gawd damn tasty meaty burger!

Ok look, this place has come through so many times when I needed a late night meal and did not want to eat drive through food. The burgers are hot, tasty, and the fries are thick and crispy. The staff is really nice considering the animals that wander in after the bar a few doors down closes. I’ve been in there that late at night before and the staff stays composed, friendly, and fast. I get off work pretty late sometimes, so coming down here has become a great option for a sit down meal that tastes great. I’ve been going to Nation’s for many years and have come to love this location. Thank you Nations!

Service is slow. If your experience was otherwise then that was an exception. Condiment area was disgusting. The amount of dried up gunk on the pumps tells me that this area is usually allowed to degenerate badly before being cleaned up. Price is on target if you eat in but not if it’s take out. Reason: togo container becomes really soggy from the hot food’s steam. Probably should line container with burger wrapping paper and poke holes. That took me less than 10 seconds to figure that out. Why hasn’t nation’s? Maybe it only bugs me. Flavor and experience of the cheese Olé burger with grilled onions was good. Chili fries was gross due to the togo box sauna treatment. Plus the chili had a funky aroma… not a pleasant one. Jr breakfast with scrambled was terrible: togo sauna imbued cardboard — paper flavor to the soggy hash browns and rock-hard scrambled eggs. The last time I had eggs like this was from someone who was trying to cook something beyond boiled water. Other things that now bugs as i type this: l know this location serves breakfast all day, but I still ask. The counter person had to confirm with the cook still rather than confirming the store’s menu policy immediately when I had asked. For me, there’s no need to come back to this or any other nations with so many other options. Hopefully, this improves the wait time for all you hard-core fans!

Bacon cheeseburger with pickles please… Just that sentence makes my mouth water. Nations never fails. Small menu= food done right every time. Breakfast is worth mentioning too. They have 1eggers all the way up to 3 eggers with hashbrowns and toast and your choice of meat. And the prices cant be beat. Whenever we are at a loss of where to eat this is where we end up. Sometimes at night we just run in and pick up a pie, made fresh every day.

We had a trip to East Bay and stopped at Nation’s as we were all craving burgers and fries. This is a busy, casual spot and we were lucky to miss the line and swoop in on an empty table. We were sitting near the door so we would get a whiff of the cigarette smoke during our dining experience. Burgers are made to order, fresh, and a good size. To my disappointment the fries paled in comparison to the lead cheeseburger, and in my opinion needed ketchup. The complaints in my party included lack of cleanliness in the public dining space, and that the cheese was too cheezy. Who knew there is such a thing as too cheezy, but it looks like Nation’s offers thicker slices of cheese. I was okay with it. Nation’s also serves breakfast and have a nice selection of pies by the slice, half or whole pies.
