London Nail Care

Liked them just fine, no longer there, Q-​Nails took over, and I do not like them as much. London Nail Care was good, price was right, but like i stated, NO LONGER THERE.

Very unpleasant experience. I had purchased a GROUPON for mani/​pedi and called ahead to make appointment. I arrived at appointment time and was told to pick a color and directed to sit one of the spa chairs. I sat there for 20 minutes while the technicians worked on other clients. They did not fill the tub with water nor acknowledge me in any way. I almost walked out and I regret not doing so.
The pedicure was quick and and the man doing it cut my cuticle with an instrument. He did not bother to paint the ends of my toe nails. Probably the worst pedicure ever.
But compared to manicure — it was great! The woman who did my manicure appeared to be very uniterested in what she was doing. She did not even file my nails on my right hand — she just soaked them (after spilling water on me) and pushed my cuticles a little. The clear polish she used peeled off the next day. The hand massage was pathetic with no attention being paid to what she was doing. She was looking away and watching the TV. I felt as if I was not even there.
If this nail shop does not want to accept GROUPONS they should not offer them.
I was treated badly and want all to know what type of service you can expect when you go here.

LOOKING GOOD ON VALENTINE’S DAY
A couple months ago I bought a Groupon for a $ 15 mani/​pedi. A couple weeks ago I scheduled an appointment to come in, planning for the day before Valentine’s Day. I had a 4:30 appointment and arrived on time. When I walked in I was greeted like a walk-​in client, but I said I had an appointment and was then told to sit in a chair to wait.
While I waited, there was no hot water, no pedi spa — but luckily they were only about 10 minutes behind before I had someone with me. The massage chair was an experience in itself. There is a massage ball in the seat that must have known Valentine’s Day was near because it was getting busy. I don’t know how else to explain this. I actually ended up turning the chair off pretty early on, but it was a very plush, comfy seat, even without the massage.
The guy doing manis was busy with other clients, so a woman worked on my pedi in silence. The mani actually didn’t start until she was already finished. Both of them did a good job. I enjoyed the massage and the nails look great. But I was hoping to get a little overlap in services to save time.
It took a over an hour — plus the waiting to dry time, since they didn’t have anything to put my hands or toes in to speed up the process. Some conversation would have been nice. There was none — except for my occasional comments to the people sitting next to me. At least they were friendly. The music was in another language — but I enjoyed it. I like all music.

I had a 3 o’ clock appointment, was not worked on until 4pm. What’s the point of making an appointment? Overall service was good. Came there due to mani-​pedi groupon deal. Massages were short. Nails look great but don’t think I would ever come back here again. Spent two hours there and I wasn’t even a walk in. I’ve experienced better.

So I guess they reopened under new management since the last time I came and wow. If you want rude service with a frown come here… one woman found someone elses nails in her pedi bowl. I live in MTZ so the only reason I came here was because I had a groupon. I had to wait 20 mins past my appt and got skimpy service. With so many nail salons around they need to get better. I think I will stick with my normal spot from now on.

I hate giving bad reviews, but I totally regret going here.
The guy who did my pedicure did a good painting job, but the massage was so short! TOTAL I think he massaged my legs/​feet for about 5 minutes (2.5min per leg.) That’s the best part of a pedicure and it was dissappointing. Not really a good one either.
Then comes the nails… I just wanted a french shellac manicure. In a nutshell, she files my nails crooked (I had to have her re-​file three of them.) Then the white polish started bubbling as it was setting under the UV light. I told her, and she scraped off the MIDDLE of the white part and re-​layered it. Didn’t even take it all off. All 10 of my nails bubbled at different times so she was contantly scraping off different parts of the white and putting them back under the lights. It was horrible, they got worse and worse — and thicker and thicker! She told me once she put the clear over it it would magically all even out. I trusted her, but sure enough they were all jacked up once finished.
To ammend things, another woman re-​did them for me quickly and beautifully — but had an attitude the whole time. Then when explaining the Groupon price to me she was totally rude.
Although frustrated, I tried to be really understanding & sweet just so I wasn’t that horrible customer. Unfortunately, I felt they just wanted me gone — and I never got a clear answer on how the pricing worked. Not a good experience.

Two stars SOLELY for the reason that I didn’t shave my legs and the guy still massaged them.
Bought the groupon after reading positive reviews on Unilocal.Thoroughly regret it.
My nails were uneven when I got there, but they’re not any better now that I’m gone. Trimmed and filed at a slant on every nail, hands and toes. Some nails are shorter than others, they just look gross as far as length and such.
Other than that, I guess everything was fine. I just have major OCD when it comes to my nails and I need them to be even, so the fact that I decided not to do them myself last night to get them done here today upsets me because I would have filed them straight.

Found this place on Groupon and they had a killer deal of a mani-​pedi for $ 15! So I bought one for my friend and I. I made reservations the day before and everything was set. I came in with my friend at our appointment time and all the chairs were filled… so we ended up waiting over an HOUR to get into a chair. We would have left but I had already purchased the deal so we stuck around.
Luckily, that is my only gripe about the place. You really can’t beat that price, which makes up for the extended wait time. Overall, they were clean efficient, and did an excellent job!

This was my first experience and it was great! Thank you so much Van!!!

First time visiting London Nails was today. I purchased the Groupon deal, only for one mani/​pedi so I could check them out. I am totally bummed that I did not purchase the 3 pack deal. Van and the other workers were all very nice to me. No chatting between themselves in a different language which I think is rude. I was relieved the place was clean. I felt comfortable and welcome. My manicure looks great, one of the best I’ve had. Will definitely return.

I go regularly, get schelaque and pedis here. they are under new managment and dont mess around… they are AWESOME and quite affordable.

This is a great place to go have your nails and pedi’s done. Van does an Awesome job!

I went here after walking 40 miles one weekend for charity. They were conveniently located and though the prices were a little higher than I normally paid it is well worth it. They are very clean and took me even before they were officially open. Lots of colors to choose from, a good leg and foot massage, and to be honest my toes a feet look better than any other pedicure I’ve paid for. Michael was awesome.

Van is great! She speaks fluent English, is friendly, fast and efficient. I was really afraid to get gel tips as I’ve had so many bad experiences in the past but she took really great care of me. After I relaxed and stopped sweating bullets, we both did just fine. I’ll probably even get fills done now, too! My fingernails are the best they’ve been in about ten years! OK, I picked a butt-​ugly color but that is my fault!
My husband and I have been coming here every two weeks for pedis (and he gets regular «man“i’s, too!) and I think the atmosphere has changed for the better. I do have to say that the chairs are brand new but we aren’t allowed to control the settings. Watch out for the «full grope» on the chair. Very creepy but I’m sure some people enjoy it.

I haven’t been to London Nails in many years, but decided to try them again since my regular girl at another shop was on vacation. London Nails is in a convenient location and ample parking.
I was VERY happy with my nails. I LOVE their deluxe pedicure. It’s very relaxing. I had a fill done by Van and she is AWESOME! Her nail designs are very creative and beautiful. I will definitely being going back in 2 weeks for a fill and another design.
Go and ask for Van!

This place is not really 4-​star, more like 3-​ish… I added 1-​star for the person whose review states that they had been going here for 3 years, but then because of a recent experience gave them only 2-​stars. That means they were good enough for 3 years and never got a good review from you, but when they have an off-​day of whatever, they get the boot :(Not cool, not fair.
–The place deserves 3-​stars.
–They’re nice ladies
–Not a ton of chattering among themselves, which means I can relax :)
–They are a bit inconsistent at times (one lady doesn’t paint very smoothly, lines in the color, edges not painted, etc… but if I tell her or point it out, she fixes it. The ladies are older so I don’t know if they see too well).
–Never very crowded
–They’re HONEST about the wait-​times! (NO telling me 15 minutes, then it turns out to be 30 – 45 minutes… Hate that!)

I’m new to the fake nail show, and the ladies at London Nail Care have been alright. I’ve gone in twice for fills and white gel retipping and had different people for each trip.
I’ve had bubbles show up on my nails after the UV drying and they’ve been gracious and fixed it before I paid.
I’ll probably be back. No major complaints.

I’ve been going to London Nail Care for almost 3 years now… but I think it is time to say good-​bye. The ladies here are nice, but the atmosphere around the salon is noisy and parking is getting impossible. The salon is situated by a Tai Kwan Do studio and little kids run around the establishment unsupervised. It is an accident waiting to happen… especially since it gets dark early and kids are running willy-​nilly all over the parking lot.
Another reason that I am parting ways with this salon is that I have gotten tired of being told every other month that my acrylic nails are ‘old’ and need to be replaced. WTH?! I’ve had acrylic nails for about 20 years and only replaced them once a year or when I wanted to have the white tips applied. Replacing them so often is not only expensive, but very painful since they basically just rip them off. I break into a cold-​sweat just thinking about it. I guess I’m just tired of arguing with them.
I’m now going to give Spa Nails and Waxing (see previous review) near Safeway my business. I’ll miss walking from home for my mani/pedi’s and then stopping off at Damo Sushi for dinner, but I won’t miss going by the ghetto casino in the same strip mall.
