Description

Specialties

We offer field trips, summer camps, and private missions for: birthday parties, business trainings, family gatherings, and so much more. Our simulators will give you the opportunity to take on the role as the crew of a starship. You will be assigned a mission, trained, and sent off to on your adventure. The decisions you make will impact the course of your flight.

History

Established in 1990.

The Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center began as a classroom experiment by founder and creator, Victor Williamson. He transported his class through the power of imagination to the outer reaches of our solar system and beyond. With the goal to bring this to students beyond his own classroom, Mr. Williamson built up the program through various grants, donations, and volunteer work to a much larger scale. On November 8, 1990, the first Star Ship known as the Voyager was opened for its first school flight.

Since that time, the Space Center has been inspiring and influencing the lives of thousands of children in Utah, and beyond.

CMSEC is currently under the direction of James Porter. He spent many hours volunteering as he grew up, attended USU where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, and after teaching for six years is excited to take this program he loves so much into the future.
