Cross Creek Village

I lived here for 1.5 years. We rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath from an owner of one of the condos. Overall the place is well landscaped and secure. However if you live on the first floor you are very unlucky. The plumbing is very old so every few months we would have the call the HOA and request that someone snake our pipes because sewage (HUMAN POOP) would backup into our showers. Instead of the HOA being proactive and doing it before problems came up, they waited until people complained and basically harassed them to get it done.

LOVE Cross Creek Village! Best place in the entire world! I love how it has its own little cleaners (which is actually a really good Cleaners!), and the beautiful 1970 gorgeous huge clubhouse. Love that it has tennis courts and basketball. It was built at a time when a lot of detail went into making sure you loved where you live. All of the landscaping and mature trees are so wonderful. Close to LAX, and close to Playa del Rey beach which is secret-​awesome.

Timothy Long, the manager of the apartment complex might be one the rudest and most impolite adults I have encountered. If you are a tenant living within Cross Creek he treats you with no respect whatsoever. He essentially treats you like a sub-​human, he is quite the character. He called me specifically about a violation and would not let me speak at all. I then tried reaching back out to him again and he hung up the phone, threatening to file a case of harassment against me after one call back. He has little to no decency with regards to communication. It was a great experience living in Cross Creek until making any sort of contact with Tim Long.
I believe the other comments on this apartment complex have been made because they have not had an real encounter with Tim. It is a great place to live other than that,. He completely ruined a great experience at Cross Creek. I do not understand how any association would like to have someone like him representing them on their property.

Any units here for rent? I love this building !

I wouldn’t recommend living here. The HOA sucks as well as the onsite staff who works here.
In addition to the HOA sucking, the piping system here sucks as well. If you are unfortunate enough to live on the first floor, every couple of months, there would be a clog in my drain which would overflow the sink, spill out into the kitchen floor damaging the wood in the living room.
The tennis courts are run down with peeling floors. There is no central air conditioning here.
The only thing I liked about Cross Creek Village is the on site dry cleaners, and the super cool guy who works here, Lionel. Besides that, Cross Creek Village can suck it. Find a newer place to stay.

Beautiful, trees everywhere and our upper floor unit is like living in a tree house. It doesn’t even feel like we’re living in LA it’s so quiet, and the beach is right to the West. Love this place, built in early 70’s with huge wooden decks that are like an extra room to the condo — I spend so much of my time out on the deck and really count my blessings to live up in the trees like this. It doesn’t get hot here, a ceiling fan in dining room and master bedroom all we ever have needed (bought here in 03). Everything you need is nearby enough that there’s little reason to go ‘into town’ unless you want to— downtown Playa has a great Italian restaurant as well as native-​owned French one, plus casual dining options; shoe repair, a great tailor, a dentist!, goodies all around and Manhattan Beach just to the south, Marina del Rey to the north. Landscaping at Cross Creek really kept up beautifully — I hope cool people continue to discover this hidden gem!

I LOVE YOU, CROSS CREEK VILLAGE!!! I grew up here and lived here for 21 years. I ALWAYS felt safe here. It’s a HUGE gated community with a tennis court, basketball court, 2 pools, ponds WITH FISH in them, and a cleaners on-​site. Because of all the trees and its close proximity to the beaches, it’s always cool there and there’s really no need for air conditioning. As of late, I know that there’s been a lot of landscaping and new construction, but this place will always be dear to my heart. My mom still lives here and I’m actually flying down tomorrow to see her.
