This is the best place to get some delicious doughnuts. The staff is very friendly. Grab the peanut butter danish when available, as its the best. There has been a change to another best, the Apple fritter, just not as tasty as it used to be. Great place to grab some doughnut holes and a twist, for a fraction of the price you’d pay at any other doughnut place.

Amazing donuts and breads. They make great specialty cakes for our family birthdays. We love stans!

One of my favorite things about the Midwest are all the affordable local bakeries. My mom and I traveled to Plattsmouth for breakfast and to browse the shops in their old downtown. We stopped into the Chocolate Moose Café first but they only had cranberry muffins remaining. So we left in search of other bakery fare. Why, what better place for bakery fare than the town’s local bakery? We ordered a few items from Stan’s and grabbed our coffee cups(an array of coffee cups collected over the years) and made our way to a separate dining area, complete with booths and tables. We browsed our Martha Stewart Wedding Cakes book while nibbling on freshly-baked goodies(donut holes, cherry strudel) and sipped on our help-yourself coffee. It was a good morning. Stan’s, like any local bakery, has limited hours. Get in early for the best selection! The atmosphere is cozy, too, and plenty of sunlight pours in. If you’re traveling on I-29 I recommend the 10 mi. detour(and paying the bride toll) to explore this old town with its beautiful old buildings and friendly people.

Delicious, fresh baked goods. Not just the usual fare, but unusual creations as well. Definite ‘home baked’ feel and taste. Very limited hours, but worth it to catch them open.
