Ok, yes… it is a Best Western. It is a chain. Yet, this one at least tries to be better than a chain, and I give credit for the effort. It is clean, easy to locate and quick ride from the airport. The pool is nice, as is the hot tub. The rooms are standard in décor and comfort.
I also have a sentimental attachment to this particular hotel. While staying here for a business related trip, I met an old classmate of mine from high school here. We had dinner and two years later, we were married. Though this Best Western is not at all romantic, it always makes me smile when I think of it.

Nice size room. Reserved on Southwest. (Park and ride is an extra $ 30 when you do not book directly with them.) Was dust on bedside light but otherwise was clean. Stain on carpet by door. Wall heater was quiet when it cycled on and off. Nice tv. Local channel guide easily found (next to tv and not in book on desk). Bed was pillow top. Very cozy. Shower head was adjustable for type of spray. Shuttle to airport starts at 4:30 am. Breakfast starts at 6 am but I was able to get some yogurt and coffee before I left at 4:30.

Not bad. I have stayed here a couple times on my travels to the area. It has a pretty good location, close to the airport, about 15 mins from KC, has a free breakfast that could be better. But hey, there is a Waffle House across the street (another plus for this guy) so that’s no big deal. The indoor pool is what got me to book this place the first time, it’s small but there is a hot tub. Would have given this BW another star if they would fix the dang fitness equipment.

Nice room, was 30 minutes early for check in. My room reeked of pine sol or some cleaning agent. Was extremely tired from continuous traveling, lady at front counter clearly didn’t feel like being at work, not very friendly. Would still stay here again, comfy bed and nice lodging.
