In 2013 I relocated to the Fort Lauderdale area and made the mistake of taking a large complicated tax return to a local «tax mill» company (rather large one). I paid a lot of money to them as was assured «all is well». The dreaded IRS –you are being audited letter showed up about two months ago. It did not appear in my best interest and requested large amounts of information. On the reference of a prominent local attorney I met with Mr. Caldwell to begin to unravel this nerve-​wracking experience. I now can attest that I made the «right» choice this time. Mr. Caldwell and his staff reviewed, addressed and handled all my concerns in timely, professional manner. This firm has restored my faith in personal service and detailed attention to the client and their best interest. This firm is a no-​nonsense take care of the client first as I see it. I will be returning for any future accounting/​tax situations that are needed. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best I have to award Caldwell & Company an 11.

I am a small tax payer, but in my minimal experience I have found Mr. Caldwell’s understanding and knowledge to be equal only to his compassion. I felt the whole world was going to fall around me and his firm help get my family through it. I am now happily in the process of obtaining a clean bill of financial health thanks to Mr. Caldwell’s expertise. I have also seen him work with large firms and can vouch for his integrity, knowledge and professionalism. I will gladly return next year when the tax man comes around. While I don’t want to minimize other people’s experiences, no matter how histrionic they may seem, I believe that this firm acts with the very best intentions and knowledge to secure a fair outcome for their clients. Some people feel that accountants are ‘human witeout’ who can restore financial health when the client has botched up FUBAR-​style. It is easier then to blame the accountant that your own misdeeds.
