History

Established in 1990.

Alix Landman, M.P.H., R.D., C.D.E., has been practicing nutrition as an accredited Registered and Licensed Dietitian since 1985 and in private practice since 1994. She got started in nutrition through owning a health food store and teaching cooking classes in 1977 – 1980. Alix’s nutrition programs are diverse, from vegetarian and macrobiotic dietary patterns, to functional nutrition, cardiovascular, bariatric, diabetes, sports nutrition and weight management dietary regimens that are evidenced based.

Alix Landman started Landman & Associates, Inc. out of a love to help others feel their best. There was a need in the community for nutrition counseling, a referral source for doctors to send their patients, a place for mom’s to bring their kids, and a place where patients could come to learn how to eat to help them feel their best or rehab from a disease. Alix has provided that over the years as well as provided worksite wellness nutrition services to surrounding businesses;i.e. Motorola, John Alden, City of Ft. Lauderdale, etc.

Alix Landman loves her work and her understanding of functional medicine/​nutrition is very thorough and she is extremely knowledgeable in her field. She is one of the best and highly regarded for her continuous effort to care for her patients with the newest and most researched protocols. She is committed to learning and sharing her knowledge with her patients. She asks the right questions, orders the right testing, and is always there to cheer and guide you on your journey to good health.. She does let you know that she cannot do it all for you, you have to take charge with the information she provides and make it happen. I love that about Alix!

I think Alix Landman is very knowledgeable and professional and really knows and understands nutrition. She is passionate about good nutrition and practices what she preaches too. I have had very good success having lost 25 lbs in 4 months using her plan for me. I am hoping to lose another 20 lbs this year and get off some cholesterol and other medications which is her goal as well. Thanks, Alix

Alix Landman is an extraordinarily intelligent Registered Dietician who has provided sage nutritional advice to me for several years. I especially appreciate how she continueously keeps her hand on the pulse of the latest research in the field and how willing she is to patiently share her knowledge. I have used Alix as my «go to person» for all things healthy for a long time and would not hesitate for a moment to recommend her.

I did –not– like this woman at all! From the moment I sat down, she was not only gruff but also very condescending. Extremely ego driven. Made statements about my dietary habits and body shape that any quick Google search would have shown (minus the rudeness). She referred to my body as ‘gynoid’ or pear shape, which is obvious and a fact I love. Then she concluded that it is due to the toxic environment we live in (i.e., the chemicals and what-​not). Moving on to add, that it is ‘fixable’. Are you kidding me? What about genetics? I am Hispanic. And not once did I ever say that I did not like my shape. I rather have curves than be a stick-​shape as herself. Moreover, she speaks in circular patterns, repeating information she had already mentioned and wasting a good chunk of my time in the process. If you want Ms. Landman’s dietary advice, just do a quick internet search; you will find the same information without the attitude. If you want sound nutritional information, I would try a different dietitian or a personal trainer.
