The Shops at Willow Bend

This review is for H&M at Willow Bend mall
ok people, if you all are going to ask for ID, then be consistent. stop profiling people. Either you ask everyone or you don’t ask anyone. today June 18^th 2016 around 1:45pm. I was really pisse because she requested my ID but did not ask the woman who was before me, we both used the credit option. fool! next time anyone of you all asked for my ID, I will leave your items and walk straight out.

Seems like a nice Mall, the outside was nice. Only went into Lens Crafters and back out so maybe i’ll have to stop by next time I make it to Plano.

This mall is pretty nice, I like to think they have a good collection of stores. If you want to visit grapevine, it is about a 30 minute drive without traffic for me so this is a good alternative. They have stores for teenagers and yet for adults. Right now Aeropostale was closing and they have their store 60%. But be warned: these prices are the same at every Aero. They take 60% the original price tag which makes them the same, and it’s not 60% of clearance when it was advertised everything, so this was a disappointment. Food wise, there isn’t much selection, but this is a decent mall.

Nice size mall with many choices for food and shopping. They have higher end stuff that I enjoy looking at. My favorite store is the Bare Minerals store. The makeup artist that helped was was very friendly.

I enjoy coming to this mall. It is never overcrowded. The parking is great. It is always kept clean. They have great activities that are well put together for the kids. The playground area is my favorite for my kids. This is definitely my go-​to mall.

If you want to shop during the weekend at a mall for mall typical stores and you don’t want to deal with bumping into people constantly, this is the place.
It’s nice, pretty, clean, and convenient because there’s a decent playground in the center where the kiddos can play for free.
It’s a little small but I like that b/​c the stores are close together.
Another plus is that fat straws is down the street.
Just go and shop and enjoy this quaint, upscale mall in the middle of the suburbs. Also parking is never a problem.

Willow bend and Vista Ridge are the closest malls in my area. Willow bend is decent it’s not great nor bad. They do have well known stores and restaurants in the food court. I dunno I kinda see this mall as small and not having much things in their stores, probably cause I really can’t afford much. The mall is very well decorated honestly, very neat.

Their play area is a fun place to have your kids run around during the hot summer. They also clean it a few times per day. It’s a small mall you could walk around peacefully during the weekdays without getting tired of your three year old, who wants you to carry them the whole time bc you forgot to bring the stroller. They have crate and barrel and anthropology that I love going to to get inspiration in decorating my house.

Awesome kids play pen! I don’t have kids, but if I were I kid I know I would not want to leave. This mall is totally family friendly kind of mall. You aren’t going to see much trouble.

My first time here. This mall is beautiful. It has such an inviting feeling. All the shops we visited had very nice employees. I like it better than Stone Briar.

Imagine a relaxing hotel lobby and a quaint, upscale shopping mall had a baby. That’s what The Shops at Willow Bend is like.
This is surprisingly my favorite mall in the DFW area, though it’s smaller than your usual Stonebriar or North Park type of venue. As a mom, this has everything I need including an extremely clean play area that surpasses all of the other play areas I’ve been to.
It’s the perfect size to stroll around without being too overwhelming, and because it’s rarely overcrowded, it’s a peaceful place to shop. They also have a California Pizza kitchen that’s tucked away in a corner which is a great lunch spot.

The Shops at Willow Bend is an upscale shopping mall located in Plano, Texas, with over 125 stores and three main anchors. The mall is located at the intersection of West Park Blvd (FM 544) and the Dallas North Tollway in West Plano.
HISTORY:
The mall opened in 2001 with four anchor stores and about 75% occupancy. The mall was developed and was originally managed by Taubman Centers, which was highly selective in accepting tenants. Despite being designed as a regional shopping center with over 1,500,000 square feet of space, the center’s management tried to limit the mall’s focus to predominantly upscale fashion. The majority of the stores in the mall cater to women, although some stores have broader appeal, such as the department stores, the restaurants, and North Texas’ largest Apple Store. The four original anchors were Dillard’s, Foley’s (now Macy’s), Lord & Taylor, and Neiman Marcus. The Lord & Taylor and Neiman Marcus stores were replacement stores for those at the now-​demolished Prestonwood Town Center in north Dallas.
PROBLEMS IN THE BEGINNING:
The mall has faced several operating challenges from the beginning:
The mall opened shortly before the September 11, 2001 attacks, when retail sales nationwide entered a slump. The mall had only upscale and luxury stores that appealed mostly to affluent clientele. Stonebriar Centre opened a year earlier than The Shops at Willow Bend in Frisco, only a few miles away. Stonebriar is considerably larger than Willow Bend and has more amenities plus a wider selection of shops and restaurants that appeal to all classes.
There were no entertainment venues such as a movie theater or skating rink, unlike the nearby Stonebriar Centre.

I grew up in west Plano and remember when the Shops at Willow Bend opened; everyone thought it was going to be too posh, too many expensive stores. I guess they were right because over time the majority of the expensive stores left and now there are a lot of small, independent shops in their place. I come up here when I’m visiting my parents or if I need to visit some specific reason (for example, I last went because I had a gift certificate to Crate & Barrel, which only has a couple locations in the area). Definitely not the mall I’d pick for a random shopping trip.

This is a nicely designed shop that’s clean and has a bright classy decorum. I like everything about it except that the shops are nothing special or unique. Too bad, I really wanted to stay there longer.

Willowbend is nice because it has stores with a variety of price points, upscale stores, great parking and is alot less crowded than other malls.

Very nice mall but after all these years still it filled. But al lot of good shops to look at and a great walking mall. Food court still need to be filled in and a few more restaurants would be great. Like the selection of stores and hope it fills up more.
Sad to see some stores have left and the space is still empty. But looking forward to new ideas. Glad they changed their focus and are more kid friendly.

This is very comparable to Galleria in North Dallas. Galleria is more upscale and bigger, but Willowben is a nice «hometown» mall — still upscale places. They have good shops like Lush, Aveda, Origins, Apple, Best Buy, Sephora, Victoria Secrects, Starbucks, Forever 21, H&M, etc.
The food court is pretty big too and good variety. They aren’t generic brands either.
This is a very convenient mall to me, but I do enjoy that they have almost everything I need.
I’ve never had a problem here or anything. All aspects of life come here. It is a big fancy so you may want to wear pants.

Oh just my favorite mall, no big deal.
I LOVE Willow Bend. I remember when it had just opened and I was a kid, my dad would take us here to walk around and look at the «fossils» in the mall ground — fossils like shell fossils and leaf fossils, etc.
So I have fond childhood memories, and now that I’m grown and have money to spend and am addicted to shopping, it’s fond adulthood memories!
Has an array of different stores, but they recently took out Wet Seal: cries :.
It’s an upscale mall, but with shops for everyone, as well. FANTASTIC food court, which is always clean and the mall is just fancy overall.

Always here commercials about this place and was always interested in checking it out. Finally had my chance when my fiancé and I were already out here for our Valentines Day couples massage.
This mall… was very… bland. It had shops I’ve never even heard of and it looked like it was going to close down any minute… Was in the mood to shop but couldn’t find anything there… shocking coming from a woman huh?
Thank goodness we came here for another agenda and not just to check out this mall because we would’ve been VERY disappointed.

5 stars for kid and mommy friendly!
There are a handful of lounge spaces with couches, tables and floor space throughout the mall. Perfect for spreading a blanket and letting your little one stretch out, take a seat and nurse/​feed a bottle or relax.
There’s plenty of space for navigating a stroller throughout the entire mall. The food court is stroller friendly, mommy friendly, and kid friendly both in seating and food options.
Just opened (Nov. 2014) a new kid area great for playing, climbing and having fun (kids walking and bigger).
Family restrooms on the 1^st floor (near Forever 21) are amazing! Two huge bathrooms with locked doors. Plenty of space for strollers, yes plural, and built in little pull down seat with straps to contain your little one. Just outside the two stalls is a changing table and lounge area. Private enough for nursing, etc.
Way to go Willow Bend for making this an incredibly mommy friendly mall!
