The Buckle

Well, I finally searched The Buckle that I work at and I was very disappointed to see that it only had one review! We have plenty of regular guests that shop us here at the creek and we value every one of them! In addition, we are always friendly to our guests and offer insight so you can find that perfect pair of jeans. We know that there’s no way you can search through every jean in the store on your own, so we’re here to help! If you want to shop in a relaxing environment without the stress and crowds that most malls offer, The Collin Creek Mall is for you! We would love to have you as our guest and if you call us ahead of time, we’ll even get you a room ready for free! These are only a few of the perks of having personal shoppers at the ready!

If you politely let the staff know when you arrive that «you appreciate that the staff wants to help you find things but you really prefer to shop on your own and will let them know when you need a fitting room» I promise you they will let you self shop. Some people really love the old fashioned customer service that their stores offer and others do not, but they will let you have it your way if you ask. «Just looking» at a store does not signal to someone that you do not want help. Just as if you were at a restaurant and told the waiter you want to look at the menu… he would eventually come back to check on you.

Why does it get only one star, you ask?

Collin Creek. Ick. Why is this mall still open???
Sizes. All jeans were size 28 and up. Please do not try to talk me into buying THE only pair of size 26 you have in the store– I already told you I don’t like them and even if I did, they still won’t fit.
Employees. LEAVE. ME. ALONE. If I want your help, I will ask for it. Don’t follow me around, asking inane questions, after I have been pretty clear about not wanting to talk to you. For example:
Manager: Hi! Welcome to the Buckle!
Me: Hi.
Manager: Can I help you find anything?
Me: No, just looking. (as I wander over to a pair of jeans)
Manager: Oh! Are you looking for jeans?
Me: NO. I’m. just. browsing.
Manager: Oh… ok well if you need any help, just let me know and I would be happy to assist you. The weather is so nice outside, isn’t it?
Me: (staring blankly at her)
You walk in and they latch onto you like a hyperactive poodle with a chew toy. And no– avoiding eye contact does not help. Shop online.
