Chettinaad is situated in the South-east of Tamilnadu state, India. The Chettinaad cuisine reflects the lifestyle of the people from Chettinaad. Essentially vegetarians, the people of Chettinaad imbibed a taste for non-vegetarian food from there travels to South East Asia and these influences are visible. The Chettinad styles of preparing chicken, meat and sea food have become immensely popular. The taste of the ingredients ids not swapped by spices and it is ideally not «hot». Locally available rich spices such as coriander, cumin, pepper, fenugreek, anise, and sweet stick are the ground and added judiciously to make each dish a gourmet’s treat. At Taste of Chettinad we have tried to bring you the authentic tastes of Chettinaad delicacies and hope that you enjoy the specially prepared cuisine.
