They have baked goods and pastries with most of the standard Chinese fillings: red bean, coconut and vanilla cream, dried pork, green onions, hot dogs, etc. Everything is packed individually for snacking to go. Whenever I’m near the Asia World Market, I make sure to stop by and pick up a half dozen egg tarts when they have them available. The tarts differ from other Chinese custards that I’ve tried in that the crusts are cake-like and not phyllo-type. Still the fillings are tasty! Cash only!

If you’re looking for this place It’s attached to Asia World Market(please see my review!). You’ll see it to the right side of the market at the very end(if you’re facing the sign from the outside). This small bakery has a decent selection of pastries to gorge yourself in. They’re priced a la carte. Each pastry is about a buck or two depending on the complexity. I like this place. It’s not the best. But it holds its weight around Dallas. I haven’t found another good bakery around Dallas. This has been the best chinese bakery thus far; serving chinese pastry classics. I’ve had Chinese pastries from Hong Kong, New York, Toronto, LA, San Francisco. So i know what is good Chinese pastries! I would agree with Dominic; the pastries are very beautiful. This bakery definitely elevates Cantonese pastry. Most of the classic Chinese/Cantonese pastries are given a modern twist. We went here and bought some«gai mai boa», or coconut bun. The dough is very light, made of rice and tasty. The insides of it reveal the tasty orange flaky buttery, sweet coconut shavings filled inside. The food brings me back to my childhood. It’s what i would eat all the time when i was littler. We also got a egg custard tart. It’s no different than your typical tart; except the outsides are lined with flakey crispy buttery filo type dough. Tips: Be sure to remember to bring cash. They don’t accept credit! So I’ll give it a 3.25 stars. I wish the«gai mai boa» had more of that delicious filling.

Looks like your average Chinese bakery. Offers the same fare like roast pork bun, red bean bun, wife’s cake, etc… Looks good but, unfortunately, doesn’t taste as good as it looks. Won’t RTE.
