I went here on a whim about a month ago(Nov 30). Three weeks before then, I visited another nail salon in North Dallas… this is after not wearing artificial nails for about 5 to 6 years. Well, this nail salon gave me my first set of nex gen gail nails. They were okay, but I knew I could get much, much better. I was going to go to this place to get a fill(the week of Nov 30) and have a nail put back on(by then, one nail popped off and another was hanging). But the one and only nail tech was not in and didn’t know when she would be in due to family emergency. So… here comes me and Paradise nails. I live no where in Plano, but about a 15 – 2 minute drive away. I was out there taking care of some business, and decided to get my nails done with no appt. Lee was available when I went in. I told her what I needed and that I’d like a different color. I picked my color, but didn’t know this meant a new set, though. So, Lee drills some of the gel off my current set, and then wrapped each nail with acetone, cotton balls, and foil…15 min later, I had no nails! I was like, hey, what are you doing? She explained that with gel nails, a color change requires a new set, but same color does not; and that one set of gels can withstand one fill… after that, a new set is required. Ok… so I go along with it because I really didn’t like the set I had anyway. Now, the only thing I’ll say is Lee can ease up on the drilling a bit. That ish hurts! But, I did communicate this to her and she backed off. So, she’s doing my nails, and I realized, omg, this set is SO much better than that crap I had before! I was pleased… nails stayed on strong while growing… went back 2 weeks later for fill… pleased. Went back yesterday for Lee to do my first pedicure by her. Pleased. For $ 35…I was happy. Now, I don’t like that removing the dead skin on the heels is not included in the $ 30 pedicure. Who wants to get a pedicure and walk out with crusty heels? Shoot, I can do my own feet for that! Lastly, I do now make appts to visit this salon. I started doing that after my first visit because I like Lee and I trust her work. I don’t want anyone else messin with my hands and feet. And even though it’s not her primary language, Lee speaks decent enough English to properly communicate with her customers. Just be patient because she’s still working on becoming fluent. Oh, and both times I visited in December 2015, I got a bottle of lavender massage lotion as a Christmas gift! I do advise anyone to make an appointment, especially on weekends, because this place STAYS busy!

Have been going here since they opened. Love the ladies. My toes and nails when down last up to 3 weeks. In the past when they chipped two –three days late I go back and they have fixed them free of charge. I always lets them know if I am happy or don’t like something and they are happy to oblige. Lee does the best pedicure!!!

I’ve been to many a nail salon. This one is pretty much the norm: Asian ladies who speak only questionable English in a sparse, oddly decorated salon where prices change depending on the customer. I came in for a mani/pedi while I waited for my boyfriend to finish an appointment. The manicure was a solar set with polish. It turned out well and the nail tech worked efficiently, but only two days later they are already chipping because the solar layer is so thin. Then there was the pedicure. I was asked something about honey, milk, and white chocolate and then told in hushed terms that it would be $ 50 for the privilege. That is the primary reason for 2 stars instead of 3. Nail salons are sketchy enough without slipping extras by on the excuse of poor English.
