We have always preferred Office Max over Office Depot, as the latter has always ignored us and/or been rude. Now, since the two have merged, it appears that the employees from Office Depot have taken over Office Max — or so it seems, considering the«service» we received there two days ago. My husband and I had found a printer in their ad that we were interested in. It’s very painful for me to get around, even with my walker, but we just assumed(wrongly) that someone would help us. No one was around when we entered the store that we could see. We went down a couple of aisles and found some printers. On the first aisle were two male employees just talking. One looked up at us four times but never said a word. We still hadn’t found what we were looking for and finally found it on the third aisle. As my husband was lifting it into the basket, the employee who kept looking at us walked by, looked at us again and continued walking to the back of the store. The second employee asked if we needed help finding anything. We informed him that we could have earlier but we already found it. He apologized and pulled our basket to the check-out where we were met by Miss Personality. She scanned our printer without saying a word, mumbled something inaudible(my husband told her she would have to speak up). She asked in a slightly louder voice if we wanted the two-year warranty and we told her no. We paid and she shoved the receipt at my husband without saying a word. Fry’s is looking better all the time.

While I do get my office supplies here, I am more often using them for their print services. I have been using them to do color printouts for me for years. I have even had them enlarge items for me into very large sizes. Their team gets my projects done quickly and accurately. I will keep shopping here for many years to come!

Went to this location today to purchase some tax software after reading their ad in Sunday’s paper. I thought there was an offer for some highly discounted or free software with the purchase of the tax software. First of all they had little software that would work on a Mac and the software was not free nor heavily discounted. Plus it was all mail in rebates and I know how that works. You never see the rebate or it takes 16 weeks. The tax software was discounted $ 10. I located a clerk and ask him about the ad and the various software. Sorry – but he knew nothing about the offer nor the ad. He did refer me to an isle display and even pointed out another place in the store where there was software. I decided to pass and headed for Office Deport. Well I didn’t buy form Office Depot either and ended up passing on the«free’ software and got my tax software on line at more than a $ 20 discount with FEEE making. I am sure Office Max and Office Depot could have sold the same software for that price however they chose not to do so.

I’m shopping for anti-virus software. They’re offering McAfee for $ 29.99 and Norton for $ 34.99. Prices are good until Saturday. The young man was helpful and friendly. While in the store, I had 2 other staff asking if I needed any assistance. Either I looked lost or they were really nice people :)

Worst service ever! Needed a new print toner and upon finding it, waited very patiently in line while the cashier tried to help an old lady who was having some serious issues. There was another guy in front of me so another cashier appeared to help him. While that dude moved to another line, bunch of new people followed him so I’m stuck behind the old lady still. Another cashier walks up and says he’ll take me at the far right counter and asked me to go there and wait. I walk over, wait a few minutes, and I see the cashier helping someone else ring out at a different register. Then some lady(could be the manager) walks up and tells me I am in the wrong line. I tell her what has happened so far and she states, «Well, I guess he gave you bad directions so you better find another line to wait in.» Oh joy! What should have been a quick 5 minute trip, turned into a lot longer(aggravating!) trip. I’ll be sticking to Office Depot from now on.
