Toddler (ages 18 months to 3 years)
Provides an environment that addresses the unique needs of the toddler.
Offers a low student-teacher ratio combined with a small group size to allow more interaction between the child and the adult.
Guides the child in developing confidence in environments outside the home.
Focuses on development of physical movement and language, areas in which toddlers experience dramatic growth
Early Childhood & Kindergarten (ages 3 – 6)
Promotes mastery of self and environment, self discipline and social competence.
Emphasis on the process rather than the product of learning.
Allows students to work at their own pace, with the teacher introducing new materials only as the current materials are mastered, to ensure success rather than failure.
Explores math, language, geography, science, art and music, involving children in a series of sequential, manipulative, and sensorial activities that lead them from concrete to abstract learning.

Mission: Montessori: New Beginnings opens its arms to welcome your child into a warm, caring extended family. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment that will help children to reach their maximum learning potential while equipping them to cope with the emotional, social, and practical demands of modern day living.
Founders: MNBA is a non-profit institution with a reputation for academic excellence and demonstrated community participation. The school was founded in May 1986 by a group of parents dedicated to providing a learning environment based on Montessori principles. M: NBA is organized as a not-for-profit corporation that is governed by a board of trustees who serve without remuneration. The Board of Trustees exists in order to take viability-focused action on behalf of the next generation of students.
Meet the Manager
Rebecca B.
Manager
Rebecca Bernard has been a leader in the Montessori Field since 1996. She has led both corporate and privately owned Montessori Schools, specializing in the academic excellence of young children. Rebecca is Montessori Certified at the Early Childhood level through M.E.P.I and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas in Biology with advanced studies in Mathematics, Chemistry and Business. She lives with her husband and three boys in the Plano area and enjoys reading, watching live music, traveling and spending time with her family. Rebecca’s own children are graduates and current students of Montessori New Beginnings and benefit greatly from the experience of the Master Teachers at MNBA. The foundation they receive at New Beginnings is invaluable in shaping their character and establishing their academic success.
