We are no health spa. We are a serious training facility that caters to bodybuilders, powerlifters, strongmen, high school/college athletes and any serious minded individual who wants real results. Here you are encouraged for getting loud, using chalk, and whatever else it takes to push yourself to be your best.

The new owners are Ryan Close and Chris Close, and they have created a hardcore heaven in Plano ensuring that the legacy that Brian Dobson had envisioned will continue to spread.

Our history…
The old Metroflex Gym of Plano was open in 2009 until 2013 when Greg McCoy (previous owner) decided to move Premier Dr. to eventually separate from Metroflex and start his own business and establish the new business with Michael Johannsen of GASP Better Bodies and other entities. After the official transition, the building was empty and vacant until January of 2015 when the Close brothers officially reponed Metroflex Gym of Plano as «Metroflex Gym of North Dallas /Plano!»
Ryan and Chris reacquired the real estate space back in late 2014 to fulfill a longtime endeavor to reignite Metroflex in Plano. Since then they have reconstructed the space with massive interior renovation and nothing but the best training equipment in the industry— deadlift platforms, EliteFTS power racks, dumbbells up to 200lbs, Texas Power Bars, heavy tires, ropes, chains, bands, chalk and a host of more training equipment dominate the space!

Ryan Close has been envisioning a new metroflex gym for many years. Chris and Ryan have both taken the initiative to fulfill this gym through the establishment of Metroflex Gym of North Dallas /Plano. He has fought tooth and nail with Chris to equip and create this gym, and both brothers have put everything on the line for the success of their business and for providing the best hardcore gym experience in the Plano and North Dallas areas!
Ryan Close has been lifting for over 15 years and has spent many of those years helping other athletes, powerlifters, and bodybuilers… his dedication and thoroughness in programming and nutrition has lead him to his own success in building maximal size and strength and getting others to achieve similar results based on their own goals. His extensive knowledge and success both under the bar and from guiding others provides highly competitive personal training instruction in the industry.
