Gary P Miller, DDS

Gary and his staff are very friendly, and his office is smoothly run. I am always in and out without hassle. For some, finding a good dentist is hard, by Gary is a good one. Highly recommend his practice.

I would not recommend this dentist. Although his staff is very sweet and Dr. Miller himself is a nice guy, he has some annoying tendencies: singing during exams, making strange jokes that make you feel awkward, etc. Kind of feels like he isn’t taking you seriously.
The personality is not a deal-​breaker; the reason I will not go back is their billing practices. Two not-​great experiences:
#1 — I went to see Dr. Miller about the retainer he gave me that broke after about 18 months. They fit me in for an appointment at the very beginning of the day and I saw the doctor for 5 minutes or less. That was convenient. However, all he did was look at the broken retainer and tell me I’d need a new one, and they charged me $ 50 – 55 (can’t remember exactly) for an office visit/​exam — even though it was hardly an exam. I complained, especially since it was not covered by my insurance, but they said that was policy. He also only took $ 100 off the price of a replacement retainer as a discount for the failed first retainer. I don’t consider that to be standing behind your work. I feel like I should have at least had the appointment fee waived since it was related to a malfunctioning device I got from them.
#2 — Last year, unrelated to the retainer, I received an unexpected bill from them for around $ 180. At the bottom of the bill it was written «Please excuse our new billing system.» I called to inquire about the bill because I hadn’t had any exams recently, and they said it was an error and I could disregard the bill. But what if I had sent payment? I have a feeling that all patients in their billing system received an accidental bill, and many of them probably paid it — especially some of the elderly ones. This seems like it could have become some kind of fraud pretty easily. The way they handled it so nonchalantly made me suspicious.
I would not recommend this practice. There isn’t anything there you can’t find anywhere else. Their equipment is not very modern, either. (Not that it is severely outdated, but you don’t feel like you’re dealing with a cutting-​edge practice that has all the capabilities of state of the art equipment.)
For my retainer I decided to go to an actual orthodontist to have a replacement made, and for my dentist I found someone else in network.

I have been going to Gary for 7 years now. His staff is great, office is smoothly run. He put two crowns on my front two teeth, they look great, feel real and I was charged a very competitive price compared to others that I asked around about.
Gary always has a great attitude. I highly recommend him.

Just as it says…“good as it gets”…fine dentist, makes you feel extremely comfortable, I have send friends and co workers to him and everyone
agrees that he is the best. I use to dread the thought of going to the dentist until I met Dr Miller.
