I needed a good pair of shoes that didn’t hurt my feet. I was recently diagnosed with a ruptured disc in the L4/L5 vertebra of my spine(L4/L5 is also out of place), so I am on a walker. Daniel worked with me right away – brought out the arch supports I needed and a great pair of Brooks athletic shoes in which to insert them. Unfortunately, these shoes turned out to be too long, so I took them back. We tried the next size down, but the width was wrong. I took those back; we tried the 3rd pair and, as they say, 3rd time’s a charm. It took a few days for me to get used to the arch supports; now, my feet aren’t comfortable in shoes that can’t accommodate them. The arch supports cost about 2⁄3 the price of the shoes, and the shoes were not cheap, but then, your feet support you day and night, and good-fitting shoes can make a world of difference in one’s health. My back, hips and knees have benefitted from these shoes. Be willing to plunk down at least a couple hundred dollars – my inserts alone were about half that much and nonrefundable, but they beat the hell out of constant pain and having to take pain meds like they’re candy. Kudos to the staff at Foot Solutions – they are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to properly fitting shoes to your feet.

I’m not sure why the one other review gave this place a bad review. If you want good quality, you are going to pay more money. It clearly states that any inserts you buy, all sales are final. A friend of mine recommended this place since my heel has been bugging me. I walked in and received customer service quick. I told the lady what was bugging me, she took me to the testing area. She makes you stand on this machine one foot at a time to measure the arches and angles of your feet. After that’s completed, she brings out inserts to test. You have to gradually get used to them, and they usually last a year. If they start to get uncomfortable, bring them in, and they readjust them. They also sell shoes here. This place is really expensive though.
