The only place I know that will do bubble tea latte. I love it here. Thank you for not looking at me like I’m crazy when I ask for fresh milk in my tea.

This place is hands down the best boba place in the DFW area. No matter how busy they are, you will get your drinks your hand ASAP(Most of their drinks will be given to you within seconds of ordering). The only down side is that it can get REALLY packed in there but who really cares if the boba is that good(I certainly don’t)! Overall, this is a great place to get boba! But if you’re wanting to catch up with your friends… I would just grab some boba and head somewher else cause it can get really packed and loud.

We love Fat Straws. One rule: always get classic milk tea. Their classic milk tea is SO amazing that anything else pales in comparison. The flavor of the tea, proportion of milk, sweetness, and the strength relative to the ice is all perfect and extremely consistent. For us, Fat Straws is a one-trick pony… but that doesn’t matter. As long as I can get some of that milk tea.

This place never fails me. Service is fast, prices are great, and the quality is consistent! However, I usually do not get the regular milk teas here. I just tried the passion fruit green tea, and it was a great choice! It wasn’t too sweet and not too bitter. I prefer to get any of the other teas. Most of the smoothies and milkshakes are a safe bet. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any drink here! I don’t think you’ll ever get a drink that you completely hate! At worst, the drink is decent for the price you pay.

First off it’s BOBA not BUBBLES! Second, my drink was bland. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. I couldn’t taste the strawberry, the ice cream and I could barely taste banana. It basically tasted like I was a super sweet flavorless frappé. The boba was hydrated nice and tasted good, the cup was sealed but was kind of sticky on the side. The other drinks that were ordered were okay but nothing special.

Been going to this Fat Straws location for about 8 years. Used to be my go-to bubble tea place. In the last couple of years, the taste of their fruity teas and milk teas(even the premade ones) has changed. And not for the better. Taste/flavor is always off. Sometimes drinks are way too sweet; sometimes not sweetened enough. I’m not sure what happened, but my family and friends agree. I keep coming back to give it another chance, but my tastebuds are offended every time. As for service, it’s always been good. Fast and friendly.

Highly recommend!

Bubble tea, or boba. However, you say it. It’s a never ending addiction of mine. And, the journey to find awesome bubble tea place sin DFW continue! This time: Fat Straws. I have to say, this might be the best boba place I’ve found so far in DFW at the time of this review. Here, I ordered the Thai Tea Milkshake with boba. Upon receiving, I am not sure what made it for me, but it was perfect and heavenly. I haven’t been that satisfied by boba since I’ve moved down to Dallas. I definitely recommend everyone to try the Thai Tea Milkshake with boba. Overall, I’m coming back here to try all their flavors!

Hi, my name is Rikie and I am a Fat Straw-aholic! It’s been about two years now since my first Fat Straw and I cannot get enough of my Coconut Milk Tea with Boba! It’s gotten so bad that when we walk in the door the amazing staff already knows my order and begins to prepare it for me. My kids love the slushes. The Coconut slush with nothing in it and the Green Apple slush with Green Jelly. Of all the boba tea places I have tried they by far are the best!

This was my first time to try bubble tea. In fact, I only found out what it was a few days ago from one of my friends on Unilocal.I should have spent more time looking at their menu online like some Unilocal reviewers recommended. I ordered banana dulce, which I thought would be a milk tea, but it wasn’t. It would have been better had it not been so cloyingly sweet. It didn’t have any flavor, just HELLO sweet. Now I know a smoothie like choconana would have been a better bubble tea beginning. My son loved his chai bubble tea — I liked his too, actually — but even he agreed mine was too sweet. I didn’t come close to finishing it but I’ll try again and order more carefully next time. Bubble tea turned out to be more complicated — and more different — than I was prepared for.

Overall: Deserves the hype. Definitely a place where you should go over and over again. Drinks/Food: Had a passion fruit green tea with boba. Tea concentration was solid and sweetness is exactly perfect. Passion fruit flavor was on point and the boba was exceptionally balanced. Service: Seating: Not too many spots. They have geared the setup to be more of a take out place. I can see how you might come in and there won’t be places to sit, especially at peak hours. Wifi/Power: Brisk WiFi Speeds of 11Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. There are a few power outlets here. You should bring an extension cord just in case you aren’t sitting close to an outlet. Parking: Somewhat challenging due to the number of food establishments nearby. Atmosphere: Good, clean, and high energy. Don’t expect to lounge here for hours on end, but it is comfortable.

Are you living that boba life? My favorite is the Taro milk tea with boba… MMMMMMMMM!!! Hubby usually gets a fruity slush such as the watermelon flavor. Next time I’m going to try a taro slush for some variety — and don’t forget the tapioca pearls! ;)

The green tea mlkshake with boba is fantastic! It was creamy and sweet, and the bubbles were nice and chewy. The time it took to get in, order, and get the drink was under 5 minutes. Parking was kind of full in the strip’s lot, but there was no line for Fat Straws on the Sunday afternoon I visited.

Cranking out teas like a well oiled machine. Compared to a couple of my favorite places for boba, this place is just poppin’. But the line never got long and the seats never completely full(a lot of customers were grabbing to go). It was cozy and tidy; nothing else really stands out, just what you’d typically expect from a tapioqueria. The tea itself was also done well, yet still standard. I got the passionfruit green tea with bubbles. To really compare it to other places I should have gotten a milk tea, but I was pleased with my drink. A good balance of fruit without masking the tea leaf flavor. Also, I was glad it wasn’t just loaded with sugar. The boba was again good/standard. All in all, I’m not finding a lot to just rave about but definitely was NOT disappointed. Would recommend.

All of the drinks that I’ve tried so far are really good! I like how they always make it fresh. Depending on what you get, the longest you’ll wait would be about 3 minutes. Order the classic milk tea and you’ll only have to stand around for 30 seconds… The boba has a pretty good consistency. It’s not better than the ones in Southern California, but it is definitely up to par and above average for the DFW area. This is my go-to place for boba when I’m back home. I really like the variety of choices on the menu. From artisan teas, milk teas, frappes, smoothies and slushes. Some drinks I recommend trying for first-timers are classic milk tea, mango strawberry slush, watermelon cooler and vietnamese frappé(all with boba of course). Try the TOD too, but it’s either a hit or miss. When Hibiscus Cooler was the TOD, i ordered it and it was much more sour than the sample cup I tried. Overall, I love coming to Fat Straws for those much needed boba pick me ups. I also think it’s cute that they call it «bubbles»

I have been going here since high school and it’s always been my favorite boba place. The boba is always perfect! Soft and chewy and grabs the flavor perfectly. I always get the classic milk tea, but the flavor is always a hit or miss. Sometimes it’s perfect and sometimes it tastes a little watered downed. But overall the drink, boba, and customer service is always on point. But be warned, the place is fairly small and does tend to get crowded. There are a few small tables really close to each other, so no room for privacy. Parking is pretty annoying as well. But the drinks are worth it!

I’ve been coming here since the beginning, way before they opened their second location by galleria mall. I’m surprised I haven’t wrote a review for them yet! Hands down the best bubble tea joint in dfw. The first place around here that did not use nasty powders for their fruit smoothies and slushes. I love that they use real mangos for my favorite flavor there, mango slush! I also really like their Vietnamese frappé, which I think is better than any of the frappes from Starbucks! Dare I say! Best of all, their boba itself is cooked perfectly. You can’t call yourself a bubble tea joint if you don’t have legit boba! I just have one complaint, they need to open another location close to Allen! I hate having to drive 40 mins to get my bubble tea fix. There’s a whole new shopping center off 75 and legacy. Just saying… Wishful thinking .,

I haven’t been to this place in a LONGTIME. And when I say LONG I mean, I forgot how the inside even looked. I was thirsty and my other favorite bubble tea place closed early. First off, parking here is a nightmare always busy. But it’s a little strip mall with food everywhere(good place to hang out) I got good parking tho front row lol, good timing. The place was PACKED inside & out with high school kids in groups. It was so packed one kid stepped on my foot(I was wearing flip flops) without even acknowledging me. It was so packed I wasnt sure what to get so I played it safe. ANYRECOMMENDATIONS? I like sweet drinks. The staff was nice. There was a group of boy who claimed their order was wrong and they accommodated all them with no questions. The cashier guy was cute but he seemed a little agitated(I was too — TOO packed with loud teens). I suggest the 2 tables on the side, to put a «wall table» with bar stools, that’ll make the place definitely open up. Its a small area i had to stand in a corner.

My #1GO-TO bubble tea shop and have been loyal for 5+ years now! Just can’t get any better than this, especially when it’s less than half of a mile away from my home! Compared to other bubble tea shops, their boba isn’t so soggy nor are they tasteless, they’re just perfect. Customer service: A+ Recommendation: Original Milk tea, Green tea milkshake, Peach-Black tea, Lychee slush & White Guava Ginger tea ALL with bubbles of course!

No matter where I go, Fat Straws will always be my favorite bubble tea place! Love the handwritten menu above the counter. so clean and neatly written. Before I always get the slush/smoothies, but I tried the TOD one day and got hooked. Now that’s the only thing I get here. I don’t even look what it is for that day, I just automatically get it. Came across some TOD that I’m not too fond of, but it was still tasty. Gotten some of their gift cards as a christmas gift! Highly recommend to anyone that likes boba!
