History

Established in 1970.

Located in Plano, Texas, Don Trotter Heating & Air Conditioning was founded in 1970 as a family owned and operated business, and it remains that way today. For over 40 years, the father-​son business has been servicing generations of families under the helm of co-​owners Don Trotter and his son, Sean Trotter. In that time we have installed more than 3,000 Bryant home comfort systems in the North Dallas and Plano area.

At its inception, Don Trotter Heating & Air Conditioning was focused solely on new construction, working with custom home builders on HVAC installations. But in the 1980s, when the new construction market became less profitable for a small company, they turned their attention toward the service retrofit and replacement market. Now about 95 percent of the company’s business is residential, with the rest as light commercial business. We are 100% percent NATE-​Certified as technicians and installers, Healthy Air Specialist Certified and a Bryant Factory Authorized dealer.
