I was out shopping at Park and Preston and wanted a place to stop for lunch. It was very busy being that it was a Saturday at noon. The last time I was at a Corner bakery was probably 5 years ago in Chicago and that was for breakfast. I really didn’t know what was good on the menu. I asked the perky cashier what her favorite was and she said it was the Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup which is a blend of chicken, vegetables and orzo pasta in a creamy broth with a hint of lemon. It was great and hit the spot. The down side of the eatery was the drink station. Oh Laud, it was really bad. According to other Unilocalers the soda station is down frequently. I don’t drink sodas so I didn’t mind, but the man laying under the drink station fixing it make it very hard to get my tea. Um, Corner Bakery, buy a new soda fountain! Problem solved!
