Awful. They took 4 out a entire garbage bag of nice things that had not even been worn. Not worth your time at all

Snobby and rude people working there. I came to sell clothes.
The woman very clearly looked me up and down and verbally assumed that I brought «junior» sized clothing and «not woman sized».
I am a petite WOMAN and that statement was very offensive to me and rubbed me the wrong way but I still left my clothes to be sorted out.
There were not that many people in the store but I was told to come back in an hour.
When I came back for the verdict, the woman and the younger girl working there were laughing with eachother and joking around right in front of me and even failed to acknowledge me even as they were facing me for what felt like a good solid minute. Not a hello, smile, nothing.
Finally, after my blank stare the younger girl working there, who was acting as if she had something to prove, mentioned to me in a very «mean girls,» passive aggressively way that there was nothing for them to buy, and «Sorry.» (Insert fake smile)
Terrible costumer service, to feel as though you are being looked down upon. I won’t come here again and I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends either.

I love this consignment store! The clothes are clean and pressed, well organized, and the sales people were very friendly. It was a little more expensive than some, but still got some really good deals. Most items $ 5-​$ 14, lots of inventory.

I realize they «make offers based on inventory» but when the inventory of the store has out of date, ratty purses and old Chicos merchandise, you would think you could get a decent offer on an entire basket of barely worn (seriously) Ann Taylor and Anthropologie dresses – as are brands listed on their website of what they want.
The employees were beyond stressed bc they were «slammed»…but there were less than 10 people in the store.
Don’t waste your time.

Visited this store last month and loved it. Very organized! The fact that the clothes are organized by color makes shopping so much easier. Clothes in good condition, good brands and last but not least great prices. Will be going back for sure

So Clothes Mentor is not the kind of store for teens or young adults. Unless they are looking for cheap business attire. It’s strictly women’s clothing and caters to the 30 and above age group. They have everything sorted out in a way, that’s easy to shop. They only thing that was disappointing was their lack of 10 – 12 sizes. I know they can’t control inventory, since it’s used clothes and all varies on what is being bought back. Just be nice If there could be a better balance in size options. Not everyone is a size 4, 6, or 8. Us average built women need more in our sizes. I do appreciate the staff there today! They were all very kind and seemed to make the best of their day. I’ll probably, definitely come back. Maybe next time there will be more options in my size. Until then!

Used to be my lunch time stop. Great people, great variety and easy way to update your closet on a budget! Can’t complain, this place has it all.

Great shopping and selling experience. I visited the store for the first time this week and was pleasantly surprised by the selection of petite, misses AND women’s sizes. Usually consignment stores do one size really well, but this store actually got it right! Found a Balenciaga bag for under $ 400, on sale (where does that happen???) and decided to be a smart shopper. Brought in shoes, purses and clothing and ended up selling $ 200 towards my bag. Only negative is that they don’t take some of the designer pieces that I believe are high need items, but they know they’re clientele better than I do. Staff was really patient and let me play in the mirror a bit before I committed to purchasing my bag. Very cool!

I’ve been to this location a couple of times to both shop and sell clothes. I don’t really have too much to complain about this location. I’ve found some really great brand new pants, two pair, and paid less than $ 30 total. One time, I went to shop on a busy day and tried to try on some clothes. The dressing rooms were full — except for the handicapped room and I had to wait too long to try clothes on. I ended up leaving without trying anything on. I was bothered, but have been back and received great service. I guess it can be hit or miss.
I’ve learned to not be so emotional when it comes to selling my clothes. They are USED clothes. I understand they are looking for flawless, fashionable, stylish clothes. What I may think is stylish, may not be… so they don’t buy it. Either way, a little cash for my used wares is better than no cash. :-)
All and all, it’s worth a look. There’s no telling what you will find.

I needed to do a quick short purge of my closet. Took them one bag of very high quality plus sized clothing and they took most and gave what was a reasonable price. Also gave good tips on the things they didn’t take.
Service was quick and professional. They do have a good selection of clothing, especially in the smaller sizes.
The key to success is knowing what you have and knowing what they will buy and how much the pay. Do some internet research before you go.

Terrible experience selling here. Offered $ 24 for a brand new Dooney & Bourke wristlet, two pairs of shoes that I wore once and a few tops. I had great, new stuff from stores they say they want like Ann Taylor, but they didn’t take any of that. Their purchasing tactics are a little sketchy as well. When the woman behind the counter was making the offer for these items, all of the more expensive pieces were hidden at the bottom of the bin, so I wouldn’t see them? Total waste of time, donate your stuff instead.

Had a great experience was looking for a birthday gift for a friend the staff was very helpful and found a wonderful Michael Kors watch at a very fair price. I also ended up buying a pair of very nice boots with the money I saved on the watch.

Clothes Mentor advertised a sale for Saturday, Feb 3^rd «all you can fit in a sack, $ 15» and it was a total scam. There was no bag, but the sale brought in a huge crowd. With only two registers open, they managed to have an hour line and for all the trouble offered everyone 10% off the ridiculously high prices. This store used to carry top brands. Now they have clothes from Old Navy and Target. I will never go to this store again.

WOW… what a major waste of time and energy. I took about 30 pieces of clothes in today because I heard they bought and resold women’s clothing. Well, when I get there the very rude counter clerk was very snotty with me because I brought my stuff in on hangers. Evidently you are supposed to only bring stuff in in bags or boxes — but excuse me I am not stuffing my 200 $ leather coat or 150 $ party dress in a bag.
Anyway, the very rude counter clerk then paws through my stuff and informs me that out of all the things I brought they are only interested in about 5 blouses and a skirt.
They don’t buy formal wear.
They didn’t want my trousers with the cute pinstripes, the adorable soft gray plaid skirt with lace accent, my tan trousers (new with tags) or my silk floral skirt all of which are *perfect* for the office.
They weren’t interested in my very nice, only worn once red leather swing jacket.
A host of other stuff wasn’t new enough.
I was told there were two people ahead of me waiting to have their clothes evaluated and it would be about 45 minutes. While I waited I wondered around looking. I was amazed at the cheap fake suede payless type shoes and rack after rack of cheap tshirts and jeans and dresses/​skirts like you would find at your local Old Navy, and for 10 – 15 $ even. Yikes. No high end stuff (except for a few purses kept behind the counter) and almost nothing that could be considered acceptable for anyone over 25. Where is the stuff for real women? You know… women who work and have meetings and go to church?
I was not aware this place was aimed at the kids who like to party their way through college. I thought that was Plato’s Closet next door (owned by the same people, but they buy clothes for younger people).
I was getting pretty steamed at this point. I wasted a ton of time with these people. Finally after an 75 minutes, not 45, the very rude clerk told me that after evaluating my stuff (all of which was damage free, only worn once and cost me about 45 $ each when I bought them if not more) they offered me $ 16 for the 6 pieces of clothes. Really? $ 2.66 each?
Needless to say I took my stuff and left. I was very nice and didn’t tell them how ridiculous they were or what a waste of time, but I will never go there again and I will never tell anyone to try them out, buying or selling.

The prices they offer for clothes are downright insulting — there is no way their margin needs to be that large.
What they choose to buy makes no sense to me; they turned down a TON of J Crew, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, and Anthro clothes I brought in — not to mention designer denim by Paige, Miss Me, and 7 for All Mankind and shoes by Nine West and Franco Sarto — ALL in perfect (some unworn with tags still on) condition and in current fashion.
But their poor buying is reflected in the merchandise for sale — a lot of cheap knits in only fair condition and little of it current or fashionable. Hello — tweeds, plaids, and tartans for the colder seasons? Nope — not a bit. But there’s a ton of pilled knits from Target, JC Penney, and Kohl’s marked $ 8 – 15. Seriously? I find better clothes and better prices at the Goodwill across the street and the Salvation Army a mile down Spring Creek.
