Not only did I create an account to warn people about this place, but I also had to add it to Unilocal’s database, as the owner clearly doesn’t want reviews of this place surfacing. I went in for help with a tingling neck, and was charged for a treatment and WASN’T shown the x-rays that had been taken prior which were said to show a nerve pinching in my neck. He did something which caused a quantity of spasming and inflammation in my neck, and most alarminlgy a distinct pinching sensation which had not been present prior to the visit, which took 150 $(with insurance) at my actual doctor’s office to fix .My experience with this franchise of «Doctor’s offices» is not unique. When you arrive at this office the sign proudly proclaims«Chase Oaks Chiropractic», but in reality this is a maximized living health center, one of those companies that tries to get you to pay to attend expensive health seminars and keep you coming back for years even if your problem is remediable in a few weeks. This office in particular doesn’t have nurses, just people trained in the companies lingo so they can relay it to you. Before you are allowed to get x rays, you’ll be given a pamphlet, told to read it, and then quizzed over it. After this little quiz you are given x rays .The xray room has a sign that reads«Do NOT get the swine flu shot». Given the proven history of vaccines, this«warning» is grossly irresponsible to post up. Then there’s a follow up appointment where Dr. Rick will tell you what’s wrong, but without actually showing you the xrays, claiming that he wants to do a «before and after» showing. So after doing a realignment, which Dr. Rick will tell you gives you«an instant immune system boost»(this is the point where my neck pinching and spasming started) I was led to a wall where they have the this rope and foam setup. You are instructed to put your head in the knot and hold on as you squat, «stretching your neck». All this really does is put pressure on your head. Next you’re given a «crown» as they call it, which is just a headband with weight at the front, and as you are wearing this you stand on a vibrating platform machine, which while«Creating muscle memory» as the assistant will tell you, the machine itself is marketed as a «get fit fast» product, as seen in many informercials. It should be noted that truck drivers who are exposed to the same type of vibration as this develop chronic back pain and nerve damage. After this you are then seated on an exercise pad on a chair and are given a few stretching poses to do. While this last one has merit, you are told you have to do all three of these things every time you come into the office for a readjustment. It should be noted that at this point you are STILL wearing the weighted headband they give you which at this point caused significant pain for me. While the assistants were in and out of the xray room, I had to take this thing off to allieviate the pain, which you are required to wear while they take the«after x-rays. Then I was taken to the front office(they escort you to the front of the office to check out) I was told that I needed to then come in for the third visit called a doctor’s consultation. They said that the next one that was scheduled was the next week in the evening. This struck me as odd, as doctor’s consultations are supposed to be scheduled upon patient request. I then found out that it was a group presentation, where they try to sell you on their treatment program and supplements(which range from $ 21 to $ 60 for a single bottle), and only then will you get your one on one consultation with Dr.Rick. And if you happen to be last in line, you are expected to wait until the doctor has spoken with everyone else before he gets to you. You can’t just show up for the ten minutes it takes for him to discuss treatment, you are required to show up for the beginning until you are seen, which I was told would take up to 90 minutes. I was told that I had to bring a family member to the presentation, as «You cannot expect to recieve full benefits if your family doesn’t know about the program.» This sentence is just speculation, but I am pretty sure this is to sell the people you bring in on their program, as speculated by others(please see the links below). If you cannot bring someone, you are required to reschedule, at the expene of postponing the consultation you need. They put profit ahead of your care and disuade you from other kinds of healthcare. They claim that any ailment can be cured with a spinal treatment. Here are other sources that discuss the problems with these centers. Even chiropractic websites recommend you stay far away from here:
