This is new Kings Buffet. It replaced Best Buffet, which I liked. The new place is very bright and spacious. The food is really good. I really like the Mongolian grill and fresh made sushi. I will be back.

I needed a negative star for the worst saltiest food I’ve had in a long time. don’t ear here unless you love MSG and salt on top of poorly fixed stir fry food.

Best Buffet, you are now called Golden Buffet. I’ve had my car stereo stolen in your parking lot so I have a bad memory of you. Of course, this was 10 years ago, so I shouldn’t hold a grudge. ANYWAY… We come here for family dinner. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, probably a couple years now. They used to serve dungeness crab here and it was fantastic, however that is no more. They do serve snow crab which is overcooked and mushy. It’s kinda hard to eat. Yes, I know snow crab is hard to eat. I’m saying the way they cook it makes it even harder to eat. Now here’s what I do like about this place. Salmon Sushi. Yes, I probably had 25 pieces of sushi from their sushi bar. They keep it stocked so every time I took 3 – 4 pieces, when I came back, the plate was filled up again. Excellent. The rest of their buffet is good. Fresh fruit, broccoli with beef, sweet and sour this, kung pao that, egg rolls, wonton soup, etc. It’s very standard stuff. They have a hibachi grill so for those of you who don’t know how that works, you just tell them what you want them to grill and they grill it up and put it on your place. It’s like having your own chef! Ingredients are limited but make a good entrée. It’s kinda like Mongolian Barbecue. Otherwise, we like the place. One of the waitresses speaks Fujian and so do my parents so she remembers us when we come in. She’s super nice.

I keep coming back because this is the only Chinese buffet I have not gotten the runs from. That said, there are some dishes that are not that great. The Salmon is always overcooked. They deep fry their dumplings and they are tough. There is way too much dough on their crab claws. They have great broiled White fish, great chicken and a good Seafood mix dish. since they remodeled a few months ago the food has improved. more amount and they keep it fresher. My buddy always like the grill. I have not tried the sashimi or sushi and probably won’t. For the dishes I like it is very good. Other wise, well you are on your own.

We went to Best Buffet last weekend for dinner as a big family gathering. The food here was average, at best; however I did like their selection. There was a large variety of foods and I’m a fan of anywhere with unlimited crab legs. Other than the crab legs, there were not too many excellent dishes. The lobster tasted bad and the sushi was unpalatable. The service on the other hand was very good. We had my 11 mos. nephew with us who made a big mess, but the waiter was very nice and played with him. He also was very timely at removing plates when we were done with them and there was never any clutter on our table. Overall, I had a good dining experience there, but I do not think I will return for the food.

The food here used to be very good. But, my last visit here on saturday was a big disappointment. The fried fish was nasty, it is spoiled. Yuk… Nothing taste good at all.

Yuck. Typical chinese buffet where everything sucks. Our table was sticky and so were our seats. Good thing I was wearing my gym shorts or otherwise I would have gotten a different table for my fatass. Ok, let’s get to the food. I went for lunch so everything looked ok. The fruit looked pretty good, sushi lacked any real substance(rolled by a mexican dude), hibachi was decent, deep fried stuff was saturated with oil, and the regular entrée type of stuff was decent. For a 6.95 lunch I guess I can’t complain too much. This was actually the 3rd time I’ve been. The last time I came, the food was left out wayyyyyyyyyyy too long. Warm sushimi is never a bright idea.

Usually any place that claims to be the best or #1 is usually not that great. This place proved to the stereotype. Some stuff was okay but there were some major issues with certain dishes. My friend had egg shell in his egg drop soup. The short ribs were tough as a rock. The California rolls were warm. I didn’t even want to touch the sashimi. They were thin and I wasn’t sure how long they were sitting out for. everything else was average. the cones for soft serve were stale.

I’m not sure why this place gets only 2 stars. I’ve been to Best Buffet for lunch, mostly weekends, and had always been satisfied. The sushi isn’t good so don’t bother loading up on it but the rest of the food is pretty good. I like their fish fillet sauteed with vegie, fried flounder fish, sauteed chicken breast with broccoli, and more. The Korean style ribs are just ok, I’ve tasted better. Never got diarrhea like others have posted — thank goodness. So far this is the best chinese buffet I’ve ever eaten compared to other chinese buffet in the same price range. 4 stars for now.

I promise myself I will never visit this place again… On out recent trip, I came back with a diarrhea. There were flies sitting on the food. When I informed the waiter, they didn’t even dispose the food. Sorry for the next person who consumed it. If you even pay attention to the beverage counter, it’s nasty. I bet you wouldn’t even drink your beverages if you saw the counter & floor! Dirty, dirty, dirty!

What’s the deal? Soggy, overcooked yet cold crawfish. Food left out longer than the law allows… EEEEk… I know it was a weekday but please. I am glad I didn’t pay the $ 19.95 weekend price. Waste of $.

It’s tough to write a fair review since I’m not a fan of buffets to begin with. This place is good for seafood. Seeing as I don’t like seafood I can only comment on the non seafood portion. The white steamed rice was a little stale as well as the sweet and sour chicken. I had sanitary concerns with a fly buzzing around the entire night as well as the feeling of the tables we sat at as they did not feel wiped down. They felt sticky and I know that the chair I sat in was not wiped down. The food tasted one dimenisional but like I said you really get your monies worth eating the seafood. Everything else was just rather bland and questionable.

if you’re a crab lover, then you should come here on weekends. if you bought a live dungeoness crab at the market, one crab would cost you roughly $ 15 bucks. here, on weekends, all you can eat. they steam it and cut it in half. they also have crab legs. all you can eat. then there is the salt and peppered fried crab. it’s $ 18 bucks a person on weekends. besides dungeoness crab, they have sushi. not too good, but it’s there. they also have the more exotic seafood like snail, crawfish, sea cucumber, squid, that, for a buffet, is pretty daring. they also have the mongolian grill and steak. regular. it’s there. and of course, they have the usual chinese buffet stuff like sesame chicken, green beans, fruits, shrimp cocktail, sauteed tofu, shrimp dishes, etc. the food itself is basic chinese buffet, not the best, but for $ 18 bucks a person, that’s a lot of choices and you come out stuffed. this chinese buffet stands out from others in DFW because of the whole dungeoness crab, crab legs, snails, crawfish, sushi, sea cucumber, oysters on the half shell(which I never eat there because it never looks fresh) which is usually not served at other chinese buffets(maybe exception — crab legs and crawfish) so all in all, it’s decent chinese food with a lot of seafood choices.

I’ve been meaning to review this place for awhile but I keep forgetting to do so. I’ll keep mine short as it pretty much echoes Liz’s comments. First, to me, the food is generally mediocre but for a buffet it is pretty good and there is a fairly wide selection. The place is big and service is pretty good(for a buffet). A lot of the meat entrees are the stuff many of us fear — very oily/greasy/heavy stir fry. But there is more than enough variety that you can eat healthily if you want to. I first went here at the request of some of my Chinese(Shanghai originally) employees for one of our luncheons. It seems they all love the food and several have been for the lobster nights and give them high marks for value. I would never venture here for myself/family as it just isn’t my style. However I would never hesitate to take a group from work for a casual meal(talk about a cheap date!!!).

This is another one of those places my family goes out to when I’m in the area. It’s an Asian style buffet with seafood, Korean style short ribs, sushi, Mongolian BBQ, soups(including shark’s fin!), fruit, miscellaneous«Chinese» dishes, and of course that staple of buffets, soft serve. As buffets go, this is pretty good, with good value for $ 6.95 weekday buffet(soda/drinks extra). Some things to try: Korean style short ribs — I pay $ 25 for lunch buffet in California just so I can eat Korean short ribs. Now the ribs here aren’t as good as the ones I get in Cali, but they are decent, although a bit more sweet and fatty than I’d like. Eat around the fat and you’re golden! I’m happy if I can get a couple of these in for $ 6.95. Fried chicken — I don’t mean KFC style fried chicken, but Asian fried chicken. I saw it on the side near the Mongolian BBQ this time. Yum yum. Other things they serve: Stuffed crab — Crab shell stuffed with bits of imitation crab meat and some kind of cheese? Pretty good. Chinese Green Beans — Not the best, but I try to squeeze a little bit of green into all my meals. Sesame Chicken — Average. I try to get pieces that aren’t smothered in sauce. Hot and Sour Soup — I didn’t try it today, but in the past, this has been a reliable soup. Miscellaneous Fish — There’s salmon and I think sole in various forms. They don’t knock your socks off, but they’re decent. Soft Serve — Okay it may be silly to put this in my review but I love soft serve ice cream, and sometimes buffets don’t get them right! I’ve had plenty of soft serve that was too soft and soupy, but today it was nice and firm… yum. I always look forward to soft serve at buffets, haha. Restrooms are clean too! Surprising I know. On weekends I think they have lobster buffet. I’m not sure what they charge for that. I gave 3 stars because for $ 6.95, all a buffet needs are some yummy short ribs + good soft serve + decent staple dishes, and I’m satisfied. I generally don’t like buffets, but if I eat at any, it’ll be this one. Two people today for buffet + 1 drink came out to $ 18 including tip. Not bad.
