Mad Mikes

I am very happy with the job Mad Mike’s did detailing my wife’s Jetta wagon. It wasn’t cheap, but it was thorough and that’s worth paying for. When I need detailing work again, this will be the first place I’ll contact.

Mad Mikes is an Overpriced Scam — I saw a deal on Living Social for $ 99 for a full detail, inside and out, with full disclosure of additional charges of $ 65-​$ 100 for an excessively dirty car, pet hair, or SUV… Before I purchased, I contacted Mad Mikes to find out what the additional charge would be for a small SUV (it barely has a third row). We agreed on an additional $ 80. I was assured it was a great deal, this typically would cost $ 250! I dropped my car off that night and I was told the car would be ready by 6 am. I go back the next day to pick up my car at noon and it had not been touched!
The person working told me they forgot to get my phone number and could not call me. He opened my car door, pointed at the rubber floor mats and said your car is too dirty and they need to charge me more. Okay, isn’t this what I hired you to do, clean my dirty car? I guess Mad Mike really only likes to clean «excessively clean» cars? I asked how much additional. It would be $ 150 on top of the $ 99 deal I got off Living Social. So, $ 250 total. Thank you Mike for the 1 dollar savings! No, thank you!
Not only did Mad Mike try to make up the financial difference by his EXCESSIVE UPCHARGE, he also put me in time crunch as I explained that I needed the car clean for a customer meeting the next day.
Living Social was great and offered a full refund.
DO NOT get sucked into Mad Mikes pricing and promises.

Honestly, there’s nothing entirely «wrong» with the place. The job on my interior was pretty good, but not jaw dropping. There were spots still left on my leather, which I’m sure can be removed with some sort of product. There were endless swirl marks on my exterior and it def wasn’t as shiny as I’ve seen it after other details. I understand my car is older, so I wasn’t expecting them to buff out any scratches, but it def didn’t shine the way I was expecting it to. Either way, it was «good enough» for me to pay and get out of there. And getting out of there turned out to be a chore. The thing that I really didn’t like as much was the owner’s in your face method of customer service. He talks SO much that, by the end, you’re willing to agree to just about anything so that you can leave. Nice enough guy, I’m sure, but the way he approaches you is off putting and leaves you questioning his motives. He pressured us to come in the back to see the bucket of dirt he had pulled out of my car and then «remembered» to show me the pile of stuff he had taken out of my car and was keeping in his shop, instead of putting it back into my car. Seemed shady to me. Basically, the place is pricey, so I was expecting a better job. Had it been a $ 100 detail, then I’d accept the work I received. I feel like, because I was using a living social deal, they skimped a bit on the work. I paid $ 69 for the deal, was given a $ 100 price tag for my car being larger and excessively dirty (that is debatable, but ok), and then was made to feel guilty about tipping on top of it. All in all, I spent over $ 200 on this «deal» and am not the happiest. I’ve definitely paid less for more. Sorry, but not a huge fan and probably won’t be back.

I brought my vehicle in to be detailed on Friday January 16^th. When I arrived Mike the owner and Scott the tech were waiting for me and they took the time to go over the car and discuss what they were going to do.
I keep my cars in pretty good condition but it was filthy and had a number of scratches on it.
Scott told me not to worry that he would do a great job for me.
They actually had the car ready about an hour early and when I arrived to pick it up I was thrilled. It look fabulous, almost as good as the day it was new. All most all the scratches were gone or very hard to see. The interior was immaculate and it smelled great too.
The only thing that could have been better was the windshield and the rear window. They both had some streak marks on them.
I would highly recommend Mad Mikes to anyone who wants their vehicle to look like new again.

I recognized the name of this company from their Mansfield location, so I knew they had been in business for a while. Saw a coupon on Amazon local for their new Rte 1 Plainville location and decided to finally get a couple of our cars detailed.
Have to say I am COMPLETELY amazed by the great work they did. This is a large SUV with many miles and a LOT of wear and tear both inside and out. The job they did way exceeded my expectations, especially the improvement on the interior. I didn’t realize how bad the leather and carpet had gotten until I saw what it looks like clean and looking like the original color!
The prices were reasonable and fair. Scheduling was easy. The service and communication were excellent. I met the owner Mike who was very friendly and the Tech Lucas who worked on the car was great. Great overall experience.
