Extra Hands for Your Events

Gigi and her team did a great job at our wedding last August. We had a 180 person reception in Wellesley, MA. It started to pour in the middle of our cocktail reception and her team handled it well and moved indoors. Their pricing is very competitive, especially if you allow the bartenders to have a tip jar. Our caterer didn’t have an alcohol license so we had to get a separate vendor for alcohol. There were some logistical issues like we wanted to have sparkling wine in champagne flutes on the tables before everyone was seated, but that was able to be worked out between our day of coordinator and Gigi’s team. We looked at several bartending companies and if I had to do it again, I would definitely choose Extra Hands.

I had Extra Hands for Your Events help with Thanksgiving last year. The server helped with everything, from mixing the potatoes to serving the buffet, and then cleaning up afterwards. She even took a family picture for us. I was able to enjoy my family while she took care of everything. I highly recommend their service.

I think that Gigi should rebrand to «extra hands you can trust!» I spent a lot of time planning my husband’s 40^th b-​day party but when it came down to the wire I only had about an hour and a half to set up before guests arrived… and her team was a HUGE help. I always try to think two steps ahead and when I would approach Janice or Allyson about something they had already taken care of it. I can say without a doubt that Extra Hands allowed not only my husband and guests to enjoy themselves but as the host, I was able to relax and have a great time. Someone commented that the experience made them want to throw more parties and I couldn’t agree more!

Working with Gigi and Extra Hands for Your Events was fantastic. Our server, Jennifer, did an amazing job. She really worked hard and all my guests commented on how pleasant and hard working she was. This whole experience has made we want to throw more parties!

I’m so glad that I chose Extra Hands for my wedding! Gigi was so great in helping me think through ever detail of my event. This was especially helpful since there was so many moving parts– Served lemonade and water before the ceremony, signature cocktails hand served as guest arrived at the cocktail hour, BBQ buffet set-​up and serving, bartending, and décor & rentals clean-​up! They pulled all of this off flawlessly and timely!
I couldn’t be happier with the service and how friendly the staff was! It was the little touches like grabbing my husband and I drinks as we sat down to eat, that made it so special!

I had Allyson (bartender) and Luci (server) helping at our party over the weekend. We had 130 guests so it was quite busy. They were organized and setup with little instruction asking questions and getting settled and then I didn’t have to think about them again. Both Allyson and Luci went above and beyond what I expected treating my home like it was their home and my event like it was theirs.
I can’t recommend them more highly. Excellent service for reasonable price!

Gigi and her servers were great to work with. Gigi coordinated everything and was very easy to communicate with. The servers who showed up to my wedding were phenomenal. I had a lot for them to do – setup, decorate, heat up food, serve, cleanup. They did everything with very little direction or supervision, and everything went smoothly. I would absolutely hire them again!

My daughter was graduating from High School and we were having a beautiful backyard «Greek Feast» for 90 people. I love to cook and do a lot of it, but we wanted to enjoy our the party and visit with all the guests. I spoke with Gigi from Extra Hands For Your Events, who explained everything that a server would do to help us out so we could enjoy the party. I decided to hire them, since remembering this event was very important to us.
Well all that Gigi said was true. Terry, our Extra Hands server, came on time asked for a tour of the kitchen and area where the party was being held. She asked for instructions on the food and when I wanted things to be served. She was always refilling the food, cleaning up plates and trash at the tables, and doing any dishes as they came to the sink. She even knew the right time to have the coffee ready. At one point just before the meal was out she walked over to me with a glass of cold water to make sure that I was drinking enough. I am used to doing all the work for parties and she knew to make sure I was having a good time. What a sweet heart she was to be thinking of me while she was making sure the food and party was going well. When she left the kitchen was spotless. The counters were shinny and no dishes were in the sink.
Extra Hands for your Events and Terry were FABULOUS!!! They did such a great job, took over the kitchen and serving, and let me relax to enjoy the party.

Gigi’s team was sent from heaven. We got married a week ago and the caterer we wanted to use does not offer catering staff. I went to Thumbtack in search of event staff to help out for the day and Gigi responded very promptly and professionally without trying to sell me additional services, etc, she knew exactly what we would need and fit into our budget.
I consider myself Type A and figured I would spend a good part of the wedding day having to check in with the different vendors and keep things in check. This was not the case. With her team in place, I didn’t have to do or question anything. Their execution and ability to stay within our timeline was flawless.
I cannot give them enough praise. They are first class!
