I had my system inspected and serviced today by a tech named Stewart. He was very knowledgable and thorough. I dealt with Slomins for over 20 years and never got such outstanding customer service.

Tech Stewart was very friendly. Spoke to me about issues with my boiler and gave me advice as well. I was satisfied with the service.

I have never had an account with this company. Nor even living in New York State! But, last week they pulled my credit report through transunion. #WTF? Well, if my credit gets compromised I know who to sue: Lewis Oil.

If I could give negative star’s I would. Their oil prices are the highest. Don’t fall for the auto pay trick because it doesn’t work this is a way to add interest charges on your account. Its always a computer problem as I was told but it’s never the people who work there who are incompetent. I ended up in court over this. And if you get a service contract they NEVER come and clean and check your heating equipment. To sum it up there slogan is
«nobody serves you better » it should really read
nobody screws you better. They suck stay far away from Lewis oil !!!

Ok I will try to make this short… I had Taylor Fuel for years and was very satisfied with this FAMILY owned business, then they merged with Lewis and it has been downhill from there. This weekend (Sunday) I noticed my tank was empty (never been empty before) w/​Taylor. So I called and got the emergency people who are there on the weekends and she said someone would call me right back. Hours later I got a call from some Mark guy and he said they would deliver fuel to me on Monday, I also noticed that we were never notified to schedule a appointment for our service contract as we always purchase a service contract to maintain our boiler & hot water heater. Mark said «oh we don’t call you, you should call us» WTH ??? I have always received calls from the oil company to schedule these, not the other way around.
So it gets better, Mark tells me to call the office Monday morning to schedule a cleaning so I called and spoke to Jessica who told me «oh we have you down for today @ 2:00 pm … that’s nice to know so I said ok. 3:00 pm rolls around and I’m still waiting for someone to come over so I call the office only to find out that my appointment was cancelled. Now I’m fit to be tied and I have had it with this company. I will get the cleaning that I had paid for then I will FIRE these people. LOL. No customer service at all, that went out the window when they merged. Plus got two different price quotes, Mark told me the price was 2.949 and Jessica told me 2.74. These people need to get their act together. Do yourself a favor and try to find a family owned business.

Absolutely not! This past winter, we had the oil burner serviced — the tech left parts not tightened — there was an oil leak — A new tech was called, who put down some absorbant material & left us to dispose of it. He THEN said to open the windows downstairs. That resulted in a horrible oil smell upstairs throughout the house. We called again for help, the on-​call woman (Angela) was rude & abusive & told us we had no contract, (although we did) & that we had to pay for the visit in cash up front. She refused to call a manager because it was the weekend & she was under instructions to not call them. Who needs this kind of «service»?

Things were ok at first, but I tried to renew a contract and nobody could bother to pick up the phone and get back to me. They were difficult to get a cleaning with as well, I had to threaten to leave. (Makes me wonder why they even bothered to try to retain me at that point)
