All the 4 and 5 star reviews brought me in but my hair looks nothing like the picture I showed my stylist. I won’t name any names because I am not about ruining anyone’s career. I got hilights and told the stylist I hate orange, yellow or caramel hilights. I wanted a cool toned ashy blonde and my hair after she hilighted it is brassy and orange. Needless to say I won’t be going back to this salon and don’t recommend it. If you pay close to $ 200 for hilights you better love your hair afterwards. I have hilighted my hair with a cap and bleach before myself and could have done a better job by myself. Stay away!

Today, was my first visit to Versed Salon and what an incredible experience. It all began with a wonderful welcome from the front desk and was offered a beverage during my stay. I can’t rave enough about my stylist, Kristen! She listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered in excellence. Kristen also took the time to explain all the products that were used. Not to mention, what a beautiful personality! My first visit but not my last! Booked my next appointment before I left. I highly recommend this salon.

Matt has been my stylist for a few years and I couldn’t give him higher praise. I am a true minimalist with my hair and he knows just the right cut that will make me happy. He comes to my home due to a chronic illness and always makes me feel like a regular client. Well, not regular, but special. :) If you are looking for someone that is down to earth, kind and very knowledgeable in his field, Matt is the perfect choice. Woohoo, indeed.

It’s been over 2 years that I’ve been coming to Versed Salon and I still think each visit is just as wonderful as the first! Ryan has been very patient with my «mood» swings and has managed to keep my hair from falling out! I’ve been very fortunate to have found a job that allows me to do whatever I want to my hair, however that means it’s probably going to change with every appointment.
The best part of going to Versed Salon is the referral program. Every time you refer a friend you get a credit towards your next visit. If my review somehow manages to entice you into making an appointment, it would be super duper extra nice if you told them that Vivian Georgis referred you! I mean, technically I did but also I’m making myself go poor with all my extreme hair color choices!

I had an appointment with Kristen and it was great! She was very helpful with ideas for my hair and talked me through everything as she did it. I never know how to style my hair and now I feel like I have a great cut that will be easy to style and will look good past day 1! The price was awesome too, it can be so hard to find a great stylist that is actually affordable but this salon provides :)

I’ve been trying to find a good salon for ten years now and I think I’ve finally succeeded. Went here last night for a haircut, thanks to all the stellar Unilocal reviews. Kristen was AMAZING. She listened to me, was very patient and worked until we got the cut I liked. On top of that, when I explained that I hate taking time to do my hair and usually just throw it in a ponytail she offered to show me some quick and easy ways to style my hair. Made an appointment with her again before I walked out the door. I highly recommend Versed.

This place could absolutely not get any better. My sis and I had our hair and makeup done for a wedding. It was incredible. The hair stylists were incredible and super fast. My sister has never ever in her 40 years on this earth liked her hair when it was done in an up-​do, but this was the first time she was 100% happy with the look! And their makeup artist is phenomenal, and she wants you to communicate with her and let her know what you like or don’t like. She does airbrush makeup and it’s amazing! They even send you thank-​you cards in the mail. I live in California, and they still sent me a card. If it’s raining, they’ll walk you to the car with an umbrella over your head. And they are nice, and very down-​to-​earth. This salon really is as good as it gets.

I called for an appointment with Matt based on the reviews here, but the receptionist said Darbie was good with the type of hair I described, so I saw Darbie. The salon is beautiful, clean, and everyone was friendly and helpful– thus the three stars. Darbie was upbeat but didn’t seem to care whether or not I liked my hair. I mentioned that I didn’t like a certain product that she continued using, however the worst part was the cut. I walked out with a very dated mediocre cut resembling Jennifer Aniston’s early Friends days. I’m older so perhaps Darbie didn’t feel the need to please. I liked the salon and might consider trying Matt if there is a next time. For now, I have to find someone to fix the cut Darbie gave me.

Matt did an awesome job blending my hair. I had several colors going and he managed to blend everything and made it look amazing! Thank you! He was such a sweetie too. Loved meeting new people there and everyone was super nice. I could not be happier:)

Nick cut my hair today and it looks great! He was very nice and professional and made sure I was comfortable during my visit. Not only does the salon look very chic and upscale, it is free of clutter and looks organized. One thing I thought was unique was the paper I filled out that had a spot where I could list any skin allergies. I appreciated that because I do have sensitive skin. Bring cash for a tip and make sure you have an appointment ahead of time since they get booked up quickly.

Second time I feel compelled to leave a review! I got my hair and make up done here for my brother’s wedding. They were very accommodating when I had to change the time I wanted to come in a few times. Kristen did my hair and Loren did my make up. I loved it! I got tons of compliments at the wedding/​reception of how good I looked. Could not have pulled it off without them! Kristen and I went over in detail on how I wanted my hair and we even did a trial run the last time I was in before since it wasn’t going to be a fancy up do.

Superbly clean they offered me coffee water numerous times. Everyone was super pleasant and friendly. They gave me my first haircut for free so I will be back again this is just one reason why they will be celebrating their 2^nd year anniversary this May 25^th 2015 congratulations to the owner and their staff.
I will be returning later in the week to bring my 15 year old daughter for her personal treatment as well. ;)

Matt Frankovich, stylist with purple flair– Did you step out of a European salon just to make me feel like I’m walking a runway? I thought I would never find another stylist who «gets» curly crazy «are you sure you’re a white girl?» hair… I found you AND you’re close to my house!
I loyally followed my amazing Zazu stylist all the way to Hinsdale, even in rush hour traffic, for over a year… but a girl with roots has to practice timely maintenance, so I started looking closer to home. Mario Tricocci — okay, but I would see four separate people before walking out (How many people do I tip?) Robert Graham– great listeners, but not conversational and WHOA on the upsells! Then I looked up Versed Salon on Unilocal and okay, good photos, good reviews.
Fast forward, i’m walking out all smiles because the cut and style that Matt and Kristen gave to my daughter and me were perfect, efficient, and gorgeous! Everyone was down to earth and welcoming. Finally, I can’t overstate the technique that Matt used; not even in Hinsdale can I get a blowout with a brush set and all of these amazing curls! I booked a color appointment before I left — See Ya in a couple of weeks and for as long as you’re willing to tame my tresses :)

I followed Matt from his previous salon because he is that good! I basically sit in the chair and tell him to work his magic. He listens to what’s going on in my life at the moment and caters my hairstyle perfectly.
He’s so great to talk to and always teaches me how to replicate the hair I leave with.
The salon itself is spacious and beautiful. Super professional with polite staff — I walked in with sweats and was treated like a VIP nonetheless.
Needless to say Ive found my stylist and salon — no need to look elsewhere!

I’ve never been picky about haircuts. I have straight, boring hair that pretty much air dries and it’s fine. I’ve gone to your typical «$ 12 cut» places and higher-​end salons. I pretty much had accepted the fact that my super-​straight hair never had any chance of being «bouncy» or full, no matter what kind of cut I had.
Then my family opened this salon. Naturally, I wanted to come out and see if these stylists could do something with my boring hair (and of course, support the business).
Matt, an amazing stylist at Versed, truly has given me the best haircut I’ve ever had, on multiple occasions. It’s been wonderful to blow dry my hair and actually see it stay full throughout the day! He is so easy to talk with, and we have such nice conversations while he works his magic.
I live in Chicago, and the salon has a «city vibe» without city prices. It looks like an urban loft inside, very industrial and CLEAN… spotless in fact. The products smell amazing. You leave here truly feeling like you had an upscale «hair experience.»
I will never get my hair cut by anyone else. That being said, keep in mind that I live an hour away. I could easily find a salon in Chicago and get my hair cut and save myself the time and gas money it takes me to get out to Versed. However, the effort it takes to get out there is worth it when I see my hair bouncing and full of volume that it’s never known before in 20+ years!
If you go to Versed, you won’t be disappointed! That’s not just coming from a family member, but it’s coming from a customer. I am truly impressed by the quality.

This was my twin 14 yr olds first Homecoming and add to that I’m the worst planner on this earth. I just didn’t think about hair & nails for 14 yr olds. Maybe if they had dates it would’ve crossed my mind, but they’re not allowed to date until they’ve graduated from college ;-). But anyway… I didn’t make appts for their hair & nails so, of course, we’re rushing around that day trying to find a place that wasn’t booked solid. Since my girls go to PSHS and I knew PNHS didn’t have their homecoming until the following week, I kinda figured heading up that way we’d find some salons with availability. As we drove North on Rt 59 we just looked for «salon». We got very very lucky! Not only found a nail salon but the nail salon had a hair salon right next door! And both had openings! So while one daughter had her hair taken care of the other had her nails taken care of! (Only thing that might’ve been better would’ve been a café or margarita place or wine store for me lol)
The salon is very nicely decorated and styled, clean, and non cluttered. Exposed brick look and elegant storage. Nice non-​glaring lighting. Reception was super nice and welcoming, she offered us water, soda, coffee etc… right off the bat.
Both girls needed a cut & style. The girls were clueless as to what style to get and their stylists (Kristen & Ari ?) helped them both decide on very nice styles and did a great job with both. There was a new customer discount and it was only $ 80 ($ 40 ea) ?! Ari even added more curls to my daughter who had her hair done first after she saw the more elaborate style her twin had gotten.

Versed Salon is seriously the best in the area. You walk in and it’s comfortable and cool and you have no doubt that your head is in good hands here. I see Matt (who will follow to the ends of the earth) because he works miracles with my hair. He’s really knowledgeable about hair, and he works with you to find the best cut for you. You’re not going to walk out of here with a cut that’s ill-​suited to your face. And as good as he is with cuts, he may even be better with color. The man is an artist and your hair is his canvas. You’re going to walk out feeling amazeballs.
Also, if I may… complimentary bang trims FTW.

I LOVE this salon and my awesome stylist Becca! I live out of state but I make trips back just to see Becca! She takes her time consulting with me about what I want and it always comes out perfect. I have blonde hair and the highlights always last a long time and the color is right on! I especially love her cuts because unlike other places I’ve had it done it continues to look good as it grows out! She also always makes me feel comfortable wether I’m in the mood to chat or just sit quietly with a magazine. She is so professional at all times! I just can’t say enough good things!
The salon is also so stylish and relaxing! They play good music that isn’t over powering! I would highly recommend the salon and Becca!
